Looking for a nail salon that had a walk-in opportunity on Memorial Day weekend. They only had a few customers being helped, so I was helped immediately for a pedicure. I appreciated that there was no loud music or Televisions running everywhere. Peaceful. Cindy was friendly and very engaging. She listened to my concerns (recurring ingrown nails) and took the time to make sure they were gone. They are tucked in an area that doesn't get a lot of shopping traffic, so I think they may be unappreciated. It's not fancy, but it met my needs nicely. I'll be back for Cindy! Thank you. read more

The last time I was here was over a year ago and I stopped in because they needed to repair a chipped nail they had just done for me the day before. I had just spent well over $100. For some reason the polish chipped. There were many technicians there this day, yet when I told him what I needed no one helped me, no one offered to put me on a waiting list, I was treated so poorly and literally dismissed to come back another day. I swore that I would never come back but yet here I am. Desperate for a fill. I stopped in today and was served immediately. Well this is good I thought. She finished the fill and I asked her to file the tip just a little bit. She said fine. I go to pay and she charges me five dollars more because she had to file the tip. None of the other salons I've ever been to have ever charged extra for this so I questioned it because she didn't tell me this upfront. Had she told me it was extra, I probably would've just left them alone or at least been able to make a decision. Then she got mad at me and told me to go somewhere else next time. The rude service here continues regardless of the quality of their work. This time I swear for good, I'll never return. She charged me the five dollars extra well, that was her tip. I guess they're so busy at this mall they don't really care anymore about Service,. They barely speak to you. They don't look at you. They just get their job done and speak amongst themselves in another language. While they have the right to do it, it just doubles down on a lousy experience. read more

This the second time I've been here and it's been excellent each time. I went earlier today with my partner when the mall first opened up and was able to get serviced right away. It did get pretty busy in there. The nail techs were really nice and took their time. They did a great job on our pedicures and with painting my nails. They did not try to rush the job even though they had folks waiting. I also really liked that after they asked me what I wanted, they were not pushy to make me get gel. Writing this review after having my nails removed today (5/20/23). I've been to this salon before and experience was with the owner was excellent! This review is for the nail tech whose name I do not know, provided service before I went on vacation and today's service. She sits on the first row behind the cash register in the second station. Before vacation: (5/6/23) Had nails/pedi done for my vacation. Pedi was ok could've been better for what I paid for & it wasn't a "regular" pedi. Against my better judgment, I agreed to her suggestion of acrylic tips and gel polish (I wanted my nails to last). The completed job was just ok. I didn't have the time to really examine her work since my flight was the next day. While in the airport is when I had the time to examine. My nails weren't cleaned underneath, I spent time picking out the acrylic, the polish looked good from the top, the sides weren't smooth and the acrylic wasn't fully to the edge. Just not a good job. Post vacation: (5/20/23) Had their basic pedi today and my nails removed today. The way she took my nails off hurt; please continue reading.... she suggests gel nails...my nail beds were sore and are still sore. She wipes my nails down with alcohol; that's when I felt the burning in some of my nail beds from where she ripped part of my nails off! I got a set of acrylic nails with regular polish (not gel). The nails were done so sloppily and shaped asymmetrically, which more or less defeated the point of getting acrylics. The nail tech seemed unconcerned by how poorly shaped they were and I had to ask her to file them done more several times - and even then, they still looked bad. She also painted them sloppily and got paint on my fingers and didn't even try to remove it. I almost never ask nail techs to correct anything with my nails, but they were so bad I had to ask multiple times. She "fixed" them each time I asked but they still were messed up. After a while, I finally gave up and went home with awful nails. I've gotten my nails done here before and had a good experiences, but this manicure was so bad that I would not go back. read more

Well....I didn't think I would be going to a nail place in the mall but here we are. Even after reading bad reviews I figured this one was better than the other one in the mall. But boy was I wrong. 1. I picked up the regular brochure to look at all the prices they have. They have a separate sheet with pedicures starting at $37. I instantly was turned off because of the price but when I looked in the brochure and saw $30 I realize that was were marketing technique to have that separate page. My daughter treated me to a mani/pedi for Mother's Day. Pretty good service, I love my nails and toes. Gel polish on my nails and special spa pedicure for my toes. I don't remember the cost of a gel manicure, the pedicure was $37. Not too bad. The total was $159 before tips for 2 special spa pedicures, 1 gel polish manicure and 1 dip manicure. My only complaint was it took 3 hours! There wasn't a wait, that's just how long it took. We were grateful they didn't rush but 3 hours for a manicure and pedicure! Such sweet service + gel mani lasted forever! It was my first time here and they sat me down right away for a gel manicure. I spilled my iced coffee all over the floor and my tech was so sweet about it, saying it was no problem, shooing me away so she could clean it up, and even when I was apologizing she had a smile on her face - not upset at me at all! And none of the other techs seemed to mind either. My nails came out beautiful, and I remember they lasted for weeks without chipping (and I use my hands a lot). I do not recommend this place. Went in for a full set. I have tiny childlike fingers that require small tips. I asked the tech to use small tips and she ignored me. One week later I lost a nail. The acrylic peeled and because the tips were too large, they were not secure, and so I was down to 9 nails 7 days later. I decided to have the nails removed because I wasn't happy with the original job and didn't feel confident in getting a fill in just to have another nail pop off a few days later. The same woman who put the full set on took them off and never in my life have I experienced anything like what she did. Instead of allowing me to soak the nails off this woman removed each nail manually! She clipped them down and started peeling them off. These nails are being held on by glue and acrylic and this woman forced each one off with such force that she drew blood! I used to work on Brokenland parkway so I would come here during my lunch break. They were always super conscious of time and rushed me in and out without sacrificing quality. The ladies were nice and friendly and the prices were pretty good. I've since moved away and haven't been back for awhile, but today (Sunday) my siblings, husband, and I wanted to get mani/pedis. We went to a location close to where we were and although the space could comfortably fit 50 people, they only had one space open. Luckily we were going to the mall anyway and I remembered Le's. I called to ask if they could accommodate us and they said come on in. I walked in expecting them to start with two of us and have the other two wait. In my search of finding a nail salon closer to home I stumbled across this place in the mall and because my phone was dead I couldn't check reviews prior- big mistake! On the outer perimeter it didn't look as dirty and hoarder-ish as it is. This place was really messy, sadly I didn't start noticing this until I was ready in the pedicure water. The chairs are outdated and uncomfortable. If this place was not in Columbia mall you would've thought you were in a very trashy area! The nail tech was extremely nice - I can not fault her there. She moved me to a pedicure station where I could charge my phone with my charger and everything! However she can NOT polish! I'm a very particular about my polish being neat and it was not at all. It got to the point where I got tired of telling her what to fix because I really just wanted to get out of there. I still tipped her for her effort because she did everything I asked to try and make me happy but it just wasn't there. It's a traditional Vietnamese nail salon. You get the regular experience of nice ladies in their 40s that have been experienced with nails for a while. I personally love going to these types of salons because they scrub your feet very nicely and cleanly. Nowadays our go-to is more trendy nail salons and they would have a waterless pedicures. Sorry but that is not the way to go. You need to have the nice chair massages while you get a foot scrub. The salon is hidden in the mall but very close to a separate entrance rather than on a search hunt in the middle of the mall. I would come here again definitely. I got a regular polish milk and honey treatment for $45 with a tip of $55. The salon offers lots of gel and powder gel options. However, I prefer to always get regular polish and add a gel top coat at home to save $20 whenever I go to a salon. This time I forgot to put my gel coat at home. The regular polish lasted so long. I could tell she was going to be an utter mess as she picked the drill up. So I asked her how long has she been doing nails. "10 years". No way in hell! She was looking and holding the drill as if it was a monster with 20 heads...Fast forward, one week later my gel fill-in is cracking and the polish is literally melting off; which began on day two. I wanted chrome nails and the one I wanted, they ran out of. So she used another that was similar. However, there is nothing chrome about my nails. If anything, they look like brown polish. Two Weeks Later... My mani looked good for the entire two weeks. My nails grow very quickly, so I needed a fill within one week, but since I get Gel polish, I had to wait two. I walked in and was taken immediately. I didn't see Tony, but I met Jimmy. Not extremely chatty, but VERY professional. I'm fine with that. I chatted with my "neighbors" getting their manicures. Where Tony was very quick with his work, Jimmy took his time. I will be asking for Jimmy from now on. My fill/gel polish change is PERFECT. I mean it. For $35, It's worth every cent. Needed to get my nails done last week, decided to come here instead of my usual place in White Oak since I happened to be at the Mall in Columbia. I noticed they didn't have their prices posted anywhere up front, but I didn't think too much of it since gel manicures tend to be in a similar price range. I had gel on my nails that needed to be removed; the woman wrapped my nails but only let them sit for maybe 3 minutes before she started unwrapping them. Unsurprisingly, the gel wouldn't budge so she started hacking at my nails with a scraper. I suggested she rewrap them for a bit which she did after rolling her eyes at me, but again only left them for 2 minutes and then started hacking again. The polish job was messy, and 4 days later it started to peel and chip off (again this is gel polish!) When I went to pay, the woman told me it was $40! I pay $25 at my normal salon, which is nicer than this one, and they do a way better job. She also made it clear that she was exasperated that I didn't have cash to tip and asked to add it on the card. read more

Absolutely terrible! Everything about this nail salon is just terrible. It's dirty and unorganized. I went in to get a hot stone pedicure and gel manicure with tips. I was desperate because I waited till the last minute before I went on vacation to get my nails done. I never got hot stones and my manicure looked terrible. Bubbles, uneven tips, overfill of gel polish, half painted nails and just a sloppy terrible job. When I looked at my toes there was white polish all over my toes. Don't waste your time or money... The customer service is horrible. I had been getting my nails done at this place for about two years now. At first, I loved this place had no complaints what so ever. Well then mother day weekend came, I thought id pamper myself with a manicure and pedicure ( well that was a mistake). So, I picked my color and for some reason she couldn't get the nail polish to go my toes right, so she told me to go pick another color( another disrespectful remark) . I explained that I didn't like the job she had done ( I wasn't rude about it) and you know what she told me.. she said This is the last color and I don't want to do your nails (another disrespectful remark) WOW REALLY!!!. I just told her to take the polish off and paid for the child like painting service she gave and walked out the door. ( I could have went back and fourth with her about the horrible job she had done but I didn't... because all I wanted was a relaxing Mother's Day weekend). Now, let me explain something; I have been getting my nails done since I was about 14 years old; I'm 36 now. I have never been treated so rudely or had such an horrible experience at a nail salon. I faithfully get my nails done every two weeks so, I know a bad job when I seen one. (At this point I realized it was not the nail polish it was the nail tech/ manager that was doing my nails and didn't know how to paint nails correctly) So, with begin said don't waste your time or money. Felt like my pedicure was rushed. When she put the clear coat it messed up one of my nails so she just painted a third coat of nail polish on that nail and now that it's dry, you can see where she messed up. The other 2 nail techs were just Sitting around talking about how clients want them to come in early sometimes but they don't want to. They literally had no other clients the whole time I was there all the pedicures prices were listed except the basic one! Which I asked and they said $25. I am so glad I did not pay more than that. STAY AWAY!!!!! Yelp really needs to consider giving negative stars for reviews. I just left this nail salon. I only went because I was already in the mall when I should have walked straight through the exit door and went to the shop that I frequent. When I signed in at the counter, the gentleman nail tech sucked his teeth, huffed and asked what services I wanted. His vibe was that he did not want to be there or he didn't want to be bothered, either way- this visit started off wrong. The same gentleman began my pedicure, he acted as if it were a chore: yanking my feet and then pushing them back down into the water. When he was cutting my cuticles he CUT my toe, I yelped and blood began dripping everywhere. My first instinct was to mule kick the man square in the forehead; instead, I took a deep breath packed my things and headed out the door. One of the female technicians asked if someone else could perform my requested services, I calmly said no thank you and left. I also took note of the fact that despite having my feet in a pedicure bowl and bleeding, the tech took no provisions to clean the bowl. I didn't see him spray any cleanser in the bowl or use any disinfectant; he simply rinsed the bowl out with water and proceeded to fill it with new soap and water for the next pedicure. NASTINESS at its best. I would think that with what they charge for services they could offer better customer service and utilize basic sanitary protocols. read more

So I went to this salon for a pedicure manicure. Walking in on a Sunday, they were pretty busy. After signing in and waiting a few minutes I was ushered to the back to start my pedicure. They aren't very talkative but I was able to chat up Justin who did my nails & pedi. You know, asking his name, how he is, commenting on his tattoo.... I'll make anyone chat it up. I'm very impressed by the work he did. Especially since it has been a loooong while since I had a pedicure (partly because my feet are extremely ticklish... it is agony for me when it comes to scrubbing!!) Justin gave me a discount and upgraded my spa package. It was heaven! Nice foot massage, clay bath, exfoliant scrub, hot towel wrap, the whole shebang! After that I got gel overlay french manicure. My normal nail place wasn't open, due to a blizzard (Lynn's nails in burtonsville) so I settled for the nail place in the mall. Pretty slow day, there was no wait, both my friend and I decided to get acrylics, she got gel polish, I did not. The gel polish color selection is insane, I think they have any color you could possibly dream of in gel (one star for that!) So they sit us down entirely apart, when they actually have chairs next to each other, and they are open and available. Kind of irritating. She starts doing my nails, then after getting off pieces of my old acrylics and doing a little filing, a new women comes in and sits down to continue doing my nails. However there was no communication that I was getting a new technician, and no introduction as to who my new tech was. She then proceeded to talk to everyone in the nail salon except me, the entirety of the manicure. I had told the original tech I wanted the pointed shape of nail, but she did not communicate that to the new nail tech, thank goodness I reminded her before I got the wrong shape nail. She also cut my nail and then asked me how long I wanted it. Which I thought was counter productive. The turned out shorter than I wanted, which was irritating at the time. The over all vibe of the place was not welcoming and I felt like they didn't necessarily want my business. My friend was mostly dissatisfied with her experience as well, as the tech she had cut her fingers with the drill 3 times and her thumb nail was weirdly shaped. They pulled my hand and cut my cuticles. She put on the forms and filled them in I showed her where to cut them and she still cut them wrong and crooked! At first I loved this place , a day after getting my set a tip broke off. Today I went to get a repair. However technician who was responsible for my repair was a middle aged man named Kevin. I highly recommend not going to him to get any thing done. He missed match the size of the now repaired nail to the rest of the set , and his painting skills aren't the best. I was very polite and informed him of the mess he made and proceeds to get an attitude with me. I told him the nail polish was running down the nail and instead of taking it off and re painting the nail he just added more onto the nail. Making a heap of nail polish just running and smudging.
