In the bathroom was a liquid hand soap dispenser with only water/ zero soap in it. It did't lather at all. I saw one of the cooks use the bathroom. EVEN if they proceeded to wash their hands with soap in the kitchen- that is terribly unhygienic especially considering they'd then be preparing our food. The atmosphere was nice, our waitress Skyler was sweet and attentive, the food and ice latte was good but the soap thing is really bad. Please have soap in there for your patrons/ staff. read more

I am thrilled that Vineapple was able to reopen during Covid. The new menu is simply divine! The choices are creative and the food is super fresh and delicious. I have been 3 times since they reopened and brought a friend for brunch this past Sunday. We were both so happy to be seated in the adorable back garden. The service was top notch and our food (avocado toast on Caputo's olive bread and the prosciutto and tomato jam panini) was incredible. There is nothing like it in Brooklyn Heights! What a perfect addition to the neighborhood. There is just nothing like it. Great coffee shop AND bar AND restaurant in one! The lattes are perfection. Most of the cocktails I've tried have been great (I loved the fall special with the egg white... and the holiday coquito... and the spiked cider...I could keep going). I haven't found a bourbon cocktail yet that wowed me but it's not stopping me from loving this place. All the food I've tried so far has been delicious (butternut squash soup especially) and the staff is all very friendly. Not sure if they're still doing it but when they first opened, they had musical Mondays where they would play showtunes inside and it made this theater gal very happy. I love their backyard and I look forward to eating inside once it's safe again. Everyone should be lucky enough to have a Vineapple in their neighborhood. read more

Food was mediocre, I could've made the egg scramble with mushroom. Service was NOT! GOOD! The employees were very standoffish and quite rude to me. I noticed they would greet others with a smile and serve food with so much kindness, but I'm not sure why they were not the nicest to me. I can't say enough about Vineapple - both the food and the management. I recently visited the restaurant for brunch and the food was delicious and service was excellent. Later, I attended a wedding reception for a family member. The food was outstanding - they served a variety of hor d'oeuvres, including empanadas and chicken and waffles, a salad, three options for a main course, and dessert. All were fantastic. The steak entree was particularly excellent. They hosted the wedding ceremony in their cozy backyard space, which was perfect. The staff was highly professional and friendly, and I understand from the grooms that they were very flexible while ensuring that all COVID-19 protocols were followed. I highly recommend this restaurant as a place to eat as well as a venue for hosting a small party or event. read more

I finally made it to Vineapple and was very pleasantly surprised. They have a full bar, from which you can order a very good dirty martini, among other things. Try the charcuterie combo for appetizer, then one of their flatbreads. The main menu is a bit limited, but definitely worth sampling, fir instance the chicken skew. And, if the season is right, make sure to reserve a table in the backyard. Though the inside is also very charming (if you are fully vaccinated, in covid times). read more

Whilst on vacation with my partner, I looked up a place local to our hotel and was impressed with the reviews, menu, and look of Vineapple. We booked a table. The male host took no note of our reservation on arrival, despite explaining the twice. He arranged another table, although appeared annoyed throughout the whole interaction. This was far from a feeling of being welcomed, which we had experienced pretty much everywhere else we had visited. The food was absolutely brilliant and I would definitely recommend. The remainder of service varied, with some staff very attentive and others almost indifferent. Visit for the food, but be ready for the lack of reception. read more

If the good looking sweet guy with the mini locks makes your coffee you are going to be happy, if the bitchy blond with mask and glasses serves it to you the experience diminishes considerably. Vineapple - Please move her from the register! Her negative stink bitch attitude is too much to deal with in the morning (actually it is always too much). She really should be in the back and not dealing with customers. I would definitely come back again. I found this cafe after visiting the brooklyn bridge in the morning and I'm so glad I did. I got the breakfast sandwich with bialy and a hazelnut latte. The sandwich was very flavorful and satisfying. The latte wasn't too sweet either. My brother enjoyed their almond croissant and hot chocolate. Hello all, Vineapple Cafe, will definitely be the new trendy, hip place in Brooklyn Heights. Definitely different than anything else I have seen. From delicious baked goods to tasty snacks and plates for lunch and dinner. Full bar is what makes this coffee house different than anything else. Cocktails that no one else has ever tasted makes this place unique. I actually stopped in there during a walk for an iced coffee one day made by a very courteous, friendly, knowledgeable barista. Came in for breakfast with the family - three adults, one child. They are hi-tech which is OK - as a Software Engineer, I am not allergic to technology but it's somewhat bothersome and time consuming to deal with their implementation so we skipped the online menu access process and just ordered four very basic "dishes", the fanciest being a burrito. No drinks. The "avocado sandwich" turned out to be two small slices of bread with a couple of slices of avocado and a hint of salad on the side. Another dish contained the same slices of bread with two halves of an egg and the same hint of salad. Plus three coffees. We did not bother to check prices because no matter what they were we could afford afford them but (BUT!!!) $171+ check - yes, ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY ONE US DOLLARS WITH CENTS - was a joke, and not a funny one. From now on, "abuse" is spelled "vineapple café". If you decide to go there, treat this place as a hospital or a car dealership - expect an arbitrary and unreasonable bill for a questionable at best product.
