Came here on a Friday early afternoon for a quick bite before a different engagement in the area. The space is quite large and our party of 2 was able to be seated right away. Most of the tables are 2 tops with some 4 tops and also bar seating. Decor was all decked out for Halloween We tried their espresso martini - it has a Spanish brandy in it so the end taste was interesting. It was good though Their food menu was a bit different from what we'd anticipated based on prior reviews so it seems they're constantly evaluating their menu. We tried their latke waffles. Really crispy outside, soft inside. It came with sour cream, apple sauce and we ordered the additional smoked salmon dip. The salmon dip was excellent. Overall, it was a good experience, 4/5. There was some miscommunication as the menu wasn't clear - the salmon dip is not an extra $8. Rather, just the Latke waffles with the salmon dip (no sour cream and apple sauce) is $18 (not sure how $11 + $8 = $18). Also, when paying the check, their POS system way overcalculated the tip (ex. 20% tip amount was actually 25%). Not sure if it's because they adjusted our check for the latke confusion but strange either way. read more

This place is legitimately fantastic! The pancakes (chocolate chunk in this case) were extra fluffy. The bacon egg and cheese was like an elevated McGriddle- in the best way. I want to go back for a dinner. read more

Food was decent, but nothing special, and drinks seemed a bit small. Service was slow, and a bit disorganized. Took over 25 minutes for a single taco to come out. But what is a bit concerning is that the bill is presented on a small tablet style device with no listing of what was ordered, and it already has tip added. Not sure what the exact tip was, but it was clearly in excess of 20%. We were only two people, so I don't understand why we were charged an automatic tip and I didn't see any listing acknowledge that policy. Very shady and opaque business policy. read more

Well let's start with super friendly and welcoming service. Thank you for brightening my day. This hip spot has a lot going for it. Lots of simple eats/bar snacks -/ but an awesome double smashed burger with Smokey ketchup and bright sauce. I asked for salad on the side and skipped the tempting fries. It is a bit of a trek, but it was well worth it. Trendy bar in a trendy area and I really liked the vibes. Went late on a Wednesday night and it wasn't too busy, and got to pick any seat. Really, I came here for the caviar. It comes with the most amazing latke waffles and a creme fraiche sauce -- definitely the star of the show. Drinks are also really good too -- I would recommend the frozen Miami Vice. So dangerously good. Service is a bit slow, but we were there to enjoy and chill, so as long as you're not in a rush, you'll be good. read more

Nobody Told Me is a causal restaurant with a limited menu in Dumbo. The space is relatively large so theres no need for reservations. In fact, it doesn't seem like you can make a reservation. We went when it was humid outside with rain in the forecast. The place felt damp and warm. We shared the nachos and each got the burger with fries. I remember really liking the burger at the UWS location and this was as good! The fries weren't as crispy. The ketchup had an odd aftertaste. Initially I thought it was my altered taste buds but everyone else thought so too! They seem to have good happy hour deals and taco Tuesdays so we may find ourselves back. read more

It's tucked a few blocks away from the touristy area of DUMBO in a more residential area. It's a cool spot when in the neighborhood to grab a drink or two. It has a hipster and trendy vibe with fluorescent and dim lighting all around. I like the rope light centerpiece, which is a cool feature. We came just for a drink as I had the Copy of a Copy ($18) while my friend had the Pornstar Martini ($18). The drinks a standard with a bit of a twist as there's some fun ones on the menu. Neighborhood bar but in an upscale building giving the bar a trendier feel than most neighborhood bars. Clientele were friendly and some brought dogs. A few beers on draft with a focus on craft and local offerings. Full bar with lots of house cocktails. Some wines too. Seemed like they cranked out a lot of burgers which you could smell from the kitchen. Service was attentive and quick. Bartenders were fast to get me a menu and take an order. I live in the area and have been 5 times. Every time I either wait 30 minutes for water/ to have a waitress come over or 30 minutes to get a drink after ordering. They just can't figure it out. I strongly recommend they hire a different restaurant manager who can better allocate resources for guests. Don't come here guys. read more

I'm so happy they opened a location in Brooklyn! The cocktails are amazing. I've gotten the copy of a copy at the UWS location but this time I went for something new and got the British sea power- a frozen drink with rum, passionfruit, and ginger. So good on a summer day. I always end with the warm toffee chocolate chip cookie with amaretto milk. Not pictured - the fries with leek dip and chicken slider, both very good. If you're in need of a chill Sunday Brunch spot, you should definitely check out the DUMBO Nobody Told Me location. My bf and I usually come here on Sundays after working out nearby because the food and service have been consistently great! It's not extremely packed and loud and chaotic like other brunch spots I've been to. There's a cool/trendy, hipster vibe in the indoor dining area with its hanging rope lights, graffiti'd/mural'd walls, and bar height seating areas. There is music playing, just not obnoxiously loud. The servers are really personable and attentive. The food is consistently great (I know I've said this twice already, but it's true)! There's tons of natural lighting from the large windows all around. Also delicious signature cocktails! For reference, we've been there about 4 times and have ordered their avocado toast with scrambled eggs, the latke pancakes, and the chicken sandwich sliders. These dishes have not failed us and they taste delicious! Would recommend if you're in the area. Solid 8/10! read more

Yes, there are some good ones, but we wish we had a half of what Williamsburg can offer :) The Nobody Told Me bar is located on Front & Bridge Street between DUMBO and Vinegar Hill. We liked their food. We ordered crispy fish tacos, daily oysters and some drinks. The burger was huge with cabbage salad and a lot of spicy mayo. I can definitely recommend their house fries. Came here on a Friday night with 2 friends. The decor was cute and reviews were good so we decided to have dinner and drinks here. Unfortunately there was only 1 waiter for the entire restaurant so service was terrible. I'm pretty sure he was also the host. We had to physically get up to go look for him a couple times. We ordered drinks and then food. Our food came way before our drinks. We got the eggplant dip, steak nachos, arancini balls, fish tacos, and ahi tuna tartar for the 3 of us to share. We also ordered 2 drinks each. My drinks were terrible, the espresso martini and the pornstar martini. I'm not sure which of the drinks my friends ordered but they said theirs were very bad too. Each dish was about $20 and each drink was about $20 so at the end of the night we spent $90 per person and it was the worst $90 I have ever spent. The fish tacos were extremely dry, barely any sauce. The ahi tuna tartar was too fishy and it said there was avocado included but we didn't get any. The steak nachos were the best thing we had here but unfortunately they only put stuff on the top nachos so the bottom nachos were bare. The eggplant dip was ok, nothing special, but not enough bread. At some point they turned up the music so we could barely hear each other. Also they sat a few people next to us who had a dog with them and my friend who's allergic to dogs was sneezing all night. Why is it ok to allow dogs inside restaurants? This place is just not it. The Burger, fries and shrimp cocktail here are so good. Legit had not had shrimp cocktail since I was a kid until I came here for an after work event. The fries have no business being as good as they are, there is some kind of seasoning on them that gives it a different flavor. Drinks are very good as well and the service is super attentive. The atmosphere is candlelit in the evenings, giving it a different feel than the daytime. The Large windows and concrete make it feel closer to a coworking space during the day. The food was also really good. They have a happy hour menu daily from 3-6pm and the deals are really good. I got the Spicy Chicken Slider (6.5/10), Fish Tacos (7/10) and the Shrimp Roll (9.5/10). We found this place by accident but it was perfect. My husband had the fish tacos and said it was a generous portion of fresh fish. They were crispy but not overly fried and had a subtle, not too overbearing sauce. I had the mezze plate with hummus, eggplant dip, harissa, olives, falafel, pita and cucumbers. I came here with a small group of friends on a Monday evening and loved everything about it. The owner was great about communicating with me ahead of time - I needed to find a spot where I could hang for a while with some space and people could come and go, plus I needed to find a good menu because I recently got diagnosed with a gluten intolerance. Their gluten free hamburger bun was so good I stopped to make sure it was really gluten free. Service was great, space was inviting, and everyone we encountered was accommodating. Finally a really amazing smash burger and wings in DT BK. My partner and I have tried nearly every burger in the neighborhood and on a whim, I discovered Nobody Told Me while searching for delivery options. Needless to say we were intrigued to see something we hadn't tried before. We each got the smash burger and the jerk wings to share. The jerk wings were perfectly tender, smoky, and well sauced. Absolutely delicious and the sauce it came with was the perfect compliment. In my opinion, strong wing options are really, really lacking in this area so we're really excited to find some that are this incredibly good. The burger - wow. First of all, HUGE burger, so worth the price. Neither of us are double patty people and I would say that a single patty version of this burger would be a great option to add to the menu, but that does not in any way make me feel any different about this burger. Patties were really juicy, the shrettuce was the perfect topper, and there was a good amount of special sauce (I'm a huge believer in sauce, so I was extra thrilled). Bun was nicely toasted, held up super well in transit, and didn't disintegrate as we were digging into it. Fries that came with the burger were not over-salted, which is so thoughtful, and they remained crispy through delivery. 10/10. We loved everything so much that we regretted not getting the amaretto milk and cookie for dessert. Highly highly highly recommend! We will be coming in for brunch in person soon! read more

Appetizers are pretty good, French fries are always well-liked. The eggplant dip has a strong amount of spice, can be slightly overwhelming even if you enjoy Ethiopian flavors. Crushed beets were delicious. Arancini are good, lots of cream inside, keeping them from being too dense. read more

What a find! So random... we were in the DUMBO area for a quick visit and needed to find a place to sit down and grab a bite to eat. With no expectations, this became our favorite eating place of our whole trip in NYC. I tried the Old Fashioned and it was solid. Actually, it was one of the best I had during my whole stay! Next we realized it was Happy Hour so we ordered the Chicken Sliders and the Fish Tacos... then we ordered more Chicken Sliders and more fish tacos... then we ordered more chicken sliders and fish tacos. So good! We had the oysters and those were good too! My son ordered the cheeseburger and his only complaint was it was heavy on the sauce, so it had to be eaten with a fork and knife. All in all we walked away impressed and wishing we could go back soon! read more
