In the continued saga of my Vince's Plumbing reviews over the years, I recently spoke with Vince via text. He guided me through some plumbing issues that I'll try and repair myself. He did so out of the kindness of his heart. If I get stuck, I'll likely give him a bell. He's working less hours these days, and sadly it appears he's returned to being a solo operation. I wanted to replace my shower hardware and wanted to make sure that I got the right type so that I wouldn't have to break into the walls to change out the weird valve that I have. Vince was kind enough to allow me to send him pictures of the set I was considering to make sure it would work and was kind enough to work around the schedule of my bathtub reglazer. On the day of the job, Anthony showed up exactly on time and was super careful with my freshly glazed tub and had the job done in record time! Even though it isn't his job he also answered a couple of questions I had about water softeners and pointed me in the direction of how to start my search. My mom had an issue where her kitchen drain rotted out (after 90 years). As I live 350 miles away, I had to find someone and found Vince's on Yelp. She called, made an appointment, and he came out and replaced the rotted out drain. Vince's guy didn't actually perform any work at the site, which is why I'm giving them such a great review. Over the holiday weekend, we had a puddle form under a toilet, which had the same issue last year and got roto-rooted by a contractor who was not a plumber, but we figured since the issue came back, better have real plumbers take a look. Vince's guy came and couldn't diagnose the issue because he couldn't recreate it (maybe the clog had drained slowly by then or something), so rather than charge us for some kind of make-work thing that might or might not fix it, they told us to just get them back here as soon as it comes up again. That's great customer service. Most contractors I've worked with usually try to find something to fix or charge you for the trip out. I'll be a customer for life now for every other plumbing issue that comes up. read more

Here is who Vince is - I met Vince through a referral for a service I provide. Although I could not improve his situation, he was very grateful for the time I invested in the appointment and told me as a thank you he would provide me with one hour of free plumbing. I told him that was not necessary. As it would usually happen, several months later I had a need for a plumbing issue. I had retained Vince's card, not because he offered free plumbing but because he impressed me as a "straight up" kind of guy. So I called him. Vince showed up a few hours later (who does that?}, assessed the issue and made the repair. I fully intended to pay him but he refused. I offered to at least pay for the part. Again, refused. He said, "I'm a man of my word and I do what I say what I would do". Of course, Vince is now my plumber for life! That's who Vince is - straight shooter and I believe you will be happy you hired him and you to will have a plumber you can count on! read more

I called Vince late in the afternoon for a quote on either replacing or removing a 'broken' garbage disposal in my ADU. He asked me to send pictures and call him in the morning. When I called the next morning, he answered and gave me a 2-hour window for his guy Anthony to stop by to take a look that same day--no charge. Vince called to adjust the arrival time window to an hour later, and Anthony arrived just within minutes of the first window! He was only here about 30 minutes, 'reset' the disposal, cleared it of a child's toy(!), and gave both the tenant and me a lesson on how to keep the disposal and drain clear--complete with a demonstration! He told me his minimum charge for a house call was $90, but since he was only here about 30 minutes, he said he wouldn't feel comfortable changing that amount! He charged me $60! Might I add, a handyman had taken a look earlier in the week, and after turning the disposal switch on/off a couple times and getting a 'stuck motor' sound, then no sound the third time, he assumed there was now an electrical issue, and that I should call an electrician, then call him back! I thought, now I not only have a plumbing problem, I also have an electrical problem--$$$!! I called my electrician, Wayne Beauregard of Burbank Electric, and he said to first have Vince take a look. I can't tell you how nice it feels to work with, 1) experienced professionals, and 2) honest human beings! A TRULY HONEST PLUMBING BUSINESS!!! I just moved into a house in Burbank, and during inspections, there were a number of plumbing related items noted that potentially needed repairs, along with a quote from another highly rated Burbank based plumbing business. On Friday, I called Vince, and made an appointment for Monday between 2pm and 3pm, and that Vince would call when he was on the way. Just like clockwork, Vince called about 10 minutes before 2pm, and showed up just a few minutes after 2pm. He was courteous and professional, and took a look at the first issue (pressure regulator), measured it and concluded it was perfectly in spec (saving me $350). The next issue noted was that there was no water line running to the refrigerator / freezer. Vince and his partner pulled out the fridge, and noted that there was actually an existing line, but someone had turned it off, which they corrected. When I asked how much I owed him, Vince refused to accept any payment at all. He is a truly kind man, and has earned my future business and references for life. I am now paying it forward via Yelp. Once again, Vince to the rescue! Had a gas leak last night and the Gas Company shut down our gas line to the entire house until the leak on the valve for the gas logs was fixed. My husband and I recently purchased our first home and needed some work done to get it up to snuff. The house was built in the 1930s and one of the big areas we needed worked on was the plumbing. Our realtor recommended Vince's Plumbing and I am so glad she did! Vince is a wonderful plumber. He works quickly and efficiently and leaves your space clean when he's finished. Not only does Vince do great work, but he is friendly and honest. If you have questions he will explain things in a way you can understand. In my opinion, this is one of Vince's best qualities. Other contractors we've met with have talked over my head and made me feel dumb for asking questions, which is insulting and incredibly frustrating. Vince never does this and always makes sure you know what is going on and what your options are. If you need a great plumber, don't waste your time with the other guys. Call Vince! So our kitchen sink leaked for two days while we waited for our usual plumber to call us back. We gave up because rinsing dishes in the backyard was getting incredibly tiring, and we started researching other plumbers in our area (Burbank) on Yelp - where we came across the outstanding reviews for Vince. He lived up to his reputation 100%! When I called him 8am on Monday morning, he answered. He scheduled me right in for 3:30 that day and called back at 1:30 saying he was ahead of scheduled and wanted to check if I was available early! (yep...early! - that's a first!) He was friendly and professional both on the phone and in person. As he looked at my issue, he claimed..."I see... It's a faucet issue! All you have to do is tighten the faucet and it's fixed! - No charge, your all set!" - I offered to pay for his time of course and he kindly declined.
