Unfortunately, the company was sold to Valley Plumbing. I would discourage anyone from doing business with them. I called to have my waste-line snaked out. The plumber came and snaked the line (supposedly) but was mostly interested in trying to sell me additional repairs. That was a bit annoying, but okay. Because he was more interested in sales than doing the job, he failed to replace the cap on the clean-out under the house. Days later I discovered the line was still clogged and waste water (toilet and other) was flowing beneath the house. You can imagine the stench and mess. I contacted another business to fix it. It is sad to see a once fine business destroyed by greed and incompetence.

We had a plumbing emergency and Sam showed up quickly, got the job done, and best of all - they even cleaned up after themselves, which other plumbers never cared to bother with. As I've mentioned in my previous review, in the past, I've gotten quotes and been price-gouged by other plumbers. Now, we don't waste time and just call Sam when there's a problem. He will explain exactly what's going on and ALL of the options available - not just the most expensive one (which is what the other plumbers did). Also, he and Luis were so patient - I'm handy enough to be dangerous around the house and technical things fascinate me, so I like to ask a zillion questions. They answered each and every one of my questions patiently and succinctly and didn't get annoyed with me. At least, they didn't seem to be, hehe I honestly hesitate to write this because we kinda want to gatekeep Sam and his team, hehehehe, but they're the kind of folks that do such a great job and are so HONEST that in the end, you want them to get all the clients, support, and business they can. We cannot recommend these folks enough. And no, we still haven't gotten the gumption to remodel our bathrooms and kitchen yet, but when we do, you can bet that Sam and his team will be the folks we call to help with the plumbing.

Several months ago I made a point of jotting down the phone number from the side of the vans and I programmed it into my phone. I had a feeling that someday National Plumbing & Rooter was going to be MY plumber. Lately, I haven't been getting hot water in my shower. There was ample hot water everywhere else in my house, but in my shower the water temperature never raised beyond luke warm. Today was the day I realized that this was the perfect opportunity to try National Plumbing & Rooter. When I phoned I was told that Tony, the owner would phone me back shortly. He phoned me back in less than 5 minutes. On the phone, Tony told me he could be at my house in 2 minutes. He arrived in about a minute-and-half. As I had suspected, Tony and I are neighbors, which is why he was able to mobilize and get to my house so quickly. Tony completely understood the issue and quickly resolved it. I'm guessing he spent a total of 2 1/2 minutes making a simple adjustment. The best part of the story is that Tony charged me a price that simply could not be beat. Today, Tony and the team at National Plumbing & Rooter did more than repair a plumbing problem, they restored my faith in people. A situation that began as a frustrating "here we go again" scenario ultimately became an experience where integrity and community won the day! I offer my sincere thanks to Tony and everyone at National Plumbing & Rooter. I am extremely happy and comforted to know that I not only have discovered a trustworthy and professional plumber, but I also have an amazing neighbor who has integrity and a sense of community. If you live in the Greater Los Angeles Area or San Fernando Area and need a plumber, you need look no further than National Plumbing & Rooter.

This December I had an aneurysm and then 4 days later pen heart surgery, now back home recovering to discover oh here's an issue for Tom, the shower faucets are original to the 1947 home and have finally given up the ghost. Tom was good enough to come over to affix a temporary faucet so I could use the shower unit as he ordered proper ones. There was no charge for his visit to come over and do that temporary fix, that's the kind guy he is, a good one who won't take advantage of you. A couple weeks later he came over with the new faucet unit, installed it which was not an easy job considering the 1947 degraded tile he had to chip away at... It wasn't long before he had installed the new unit and it's been working like a charm since. His bill was fair and reasonable as is all his jobs that he's done here at my home. How about this, I'm away working on location on a movie out of state, the 1947 sprinkler pipes burst out front and who comes to save the day, Tom! Over the phone via text he sent me pics of the damage and his repairs, and the bill was again fair and reasonable. My 1947 sink gave up the ghost year before last, Tom came over and was able to save the old vintage unit (it looks too cool to replace it) and it's been working beautifully since, and here it comes... the bill was fair and reasonable. Can't say enough good about him and the service he provides. With Tom you get your monies worth, he doesn't hold you up at the bank, if you need a plumber, make Tom your first call!
