This review is long overdue, considering my roof was completed about a month ago…read more Getting a roof replacement was on my bucket list for 2026 after I noticed a leak in my kitchen at the beginning of February. Before that, I had a leak in my garage that was patched up. I knew it was only a matter of time before I needed a new roof and with the weather we've been experiencing, I didn't want to risk putting it off any longer. Before choosing Roofing Solutions, I had received five other estimates. Some were higher, and others were lower. The process was generally the same: estimators would walk around the house, measure the roof, and then return with a quote. However, the quality of the proposals varied significantly. Some looked like basic word-processed documents that didn't appear very professional, while others focused heavily on manufacturer information, shingles, and warranties, with very little detail about the actual scope of work. A few companies even repeatedly called and left voicemails, which made me feel like they were trying a little too hard to get my business. This is where Roofing Solutions stood out, and ultimately, why I chose them. Roofing Solutions had previously completed a roofing job next door to my in-laws' house. When I asked who had done the work, the owner told me it was Roofing Solutions and referred me to Ivan. I gave Ivan a call, and he came out a few days later to provide an estimate. After walking around the house, I explained to Ivan that I had some dry rot that needed to be replaced, wanted new gutters, and was interested in Presidential shingles. Sure, I could have gone with standard shingles, but I really liked the pattern, thickness, and overall appearance of Presidential shingles. My philosophy is that if you're going to do something, do it right the first time. Sometimes, you have to spend a little more upfront to get the results you want. A few days later, Ivan sent over his proposal. It was well organized, easy to read, detailed, and professional. It clearly outlined the process and the work that would be performed. What really impressed me was that he included detailed photos of my roof showing the existing flaws and problem areas. None of the other estimators had provided that level of detail. Ivan was also never pushy, which I appreciated, especially after dealing with some of the other companies. His pricing was also affordable which was in the middle from the quotes that i had recieved. When it came time to sign the contract, we discovered that plywood needed to be installed because my house is older and the roof had wide gaps where the roofing nails could potentially pass through. Ivan worked with me on the additional cost of the plywood and labor, which I appreciated. The entire roof replacement took three days. On day one, the crew removed the old shingles, cleared the debris, installed the plywood, and replaced the dry-rotted areas. These guys were extremely clean and organized. They consistently cleaned up around the perimeter of the house, keeping the front and sides of the property looking great throughout the process. Days two and three involved the city inspector, remaining roofing work, shingle installation, and gutter installation. The crew also went above and beyond the original scope of work by painting my trim in the color I wanted. That extra attention to detail was a great finishing touch. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality of the work and the entire experience with Roofing Solutions. From Ivan's detailed proposal and straightforward communication to the crew's demo, install of the new roof, cleanliness and willingness to go the extra mile, they made what could have been a stressful project a positive experience. Although Wonderlin Roofing was not the least expensive, he felt they were the most credible. He also told me that the owner, Grover, would personally come out for a free inspection and discuss any repairs that might be needed. I trusted my neighbor's referral, so I gave Wonderlin Roofing a call. Grover came out within the week. He was very professional and personable, conducted a thorough roof inspection, and afterward took the time to go over his findings with me. He also showed me photos of what he had found. When I received the estimate, I appreciated that it was broken down into repairs that were necessary, repairs that should be completed within a reasonable amount of time, and repairs that could be addressed in the near future. I called to discuss the recommendations, and ultimately decided to have all of the work completed. This is where the scheduling process became a little challenging. There was some miscommunication on both parts, including missed emails and some confusion about scheduling, which became frustrating at times. We did establish dates, although I also had to cancel once because of unforeseen circumstances. One thing I wish had been communicated more clearly was that when a work date is scheduled, there can be uncertainty about whether the crew will be able to complete everything that day. I completely understand that with roofing, you don't always know what you will find once the work begins. The challenge was coordinating my availability with Wonderlin Roofing's availability to return the following day if additional work was needed. It became difficult to keep additional days open and make sure I was available when the crew was able to return. Once we finally locked in a date and the crew arrived, everything went very smoothly. The crew was professional, personable, and respectful of my property. They were also very considerate of the neighbors--they weren't talking loudly or yelling back and forth to each other, and there was no loud music or unnecessary noise. They did an excellent job cleaning up and kept me informed throughout the day as the work progressed. I was even shown the areas of the roof that were removed and needed to be repaired or replaced, and they sent me pictures of the completed repairs. This allowed me to compare the finished work with the original inspection photos, which I really appreciated. There was also an issue with my gutter. After the initial consultation, I noticed that the gutter had been damaged where the ladder had been placed. I immediately notified the office, and they told me they would address it when the crew returned for the repairs. When the crew arrived, the crew lead saw the damage and immediately said that he would replace the gutter. I told him that I appreciated his willingness to replace the entire gutter, but asked if they could try to repair it first. I explained that if the repair looked good and resolved the issue, that would be perfectly acceptable to me. They were able to successfully repair the gutter without having to replace it. I was very appreciative that the crew lead was willing to replace the gutter without question, and I also appreciated that they were able to find a way to repair it instead. One thing to be aware of when planning for the work is that Wonderlin Roofing does not accept credit cards as a form of payment, so you'll want to make sure you're prepared with an acceptable form of payment when the job is completed. Overall, I would recommend Wonderlin Roofing. I was impressed with Grover's professionalism, the detailed inspection, the photographs, and the way the estimate clearly separated the repairs by priority. The crew that completed the work was excellent and treated my home with respect. My only recommendation would be to make communication after the initial inspection a little clearer, particularly regarding scheduling and the possibility that additional days may be needed to complete the work. To be fair, there was miscommunication on both sides, and once we discussed it and agreed on a better way to communicate, everything went smoothly. In the end, I am happy with the work that was done and appreciate the professionalism of the crew. Leon Brothers did an excellent job putting a new roof and gutters on my 100 year old craftsman…read more For years I looked at the exposed rafter tails on my roof and wondered how to fix the dry rot that many of them had. Arcenio arrived swiftly, put a ladder directly on the front of my house, inspected the roof, and proposed that the old dutch gutters could easily be replaced. They cut the rafter tails, added gutters, and completed the project in 3 days. Plywood was also added on top of the decking, which should add some structural stability. Overall I had a great experience with Leon Brothers and am looking forward to seeing how the new roof handles what could be a very wet El Niño winter.
