    New gutters and downspouts
    Josh W.

We had just gotten the siding done earlier this year, and now that the rainy season is approaching, we knew we needed to replace the rusted and leaking gutters on our house. I got a number of quotes and Roofology was thorough, fairly priced, and was able to get the work done quickly. In addition to the gutters, the team also did some maintenance on the roof extension that covers our laundry room, and covered over some exposed nails and vents on our roof. The new gutters look much nicer and I expect when the rain comes that they will do a good job of diverting the water away from the porch and foundation. The team was very polite and professional and made sure to check with us for design decisions. I would definitely consider them for future roofing or gutter needs!

I definitely will reach out to Armando and his team again when the time comes for a full roof replacement.

The crew that was onsite was professional, punctual, and completed the job within one day. What really stood out was their attention to detail, not only in their work, but also in the cleanup process. The crew made sure everything was thoroughly cleaned up before leaving, and our property looked spotless. We truly appreciate their efficiency and professionalism and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of roofing services.

Upon…read moreinspection, the roofer immediately attributed the cause of the rust to the solar installer, effectively deflecting responsibility. However, the evidence does not support this conclusion. Our roof consists of two levels, and we observed rust on several spots across five long panels--many of which are not adjacent to the solar installation. Furthermore, the upper level of the roof, which has no solar panels whatsoever, also exhibits couple similar rust spots. These observations strongly suggest that the rust is not caused by the solar installation but rather stems from a material or manufacturing defect. Despite these panels carrying a 50-year life warranty, the roofer was quick to claim that the rust is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. This is deeply disappointing, particularly given the clear evidence that the damage extends well beyond any area impacted by the solar work. The roofer demonstrated no willingness to help address the issue and offered no solution for the roof leak currently occurring at the lower level. The lack of accountability and absence of any proposed remediation is unacceptable given the scope of the defects observed.

He broke down what needed immediate attention, what could wait, and what wasn't worth redoing until we need a full roof replacement. Their office staff is very responsive to emails. Pricing was more reasonable and they provided a warranty for their repair work. The shingle work was straight and looks good. Chimney reflashing was a bit sloppy with the sealant. Crew was friendly and easy to work with.

Nothing is standard about this home including a massive one-of-a-kind full custom multi-level roof that included: mounted electrical solar panels, and separate roof mounted pool solar collector panels, 2 chimneys, a flattop roof section with adjustable skylights that need to be replaced. We also needed an outbuilding's flattop roof and skylights replaced. We chose Wonderlin Roofing Systems for the following reasons * Extensive expertise * Long history in the Castro Valley area * Excellent references * Willing to work with clients Grover Wonderlin and his office Manager Marianne worked with us throughout the entire process and were always polite, knowledgeable, answering our questions, provided excellent advice. Before starting the tear-off, they covered the pool with the largest tarp I have ever seen. I was impressed with their clean-up, walking around the home twice checking for nails and anything that might have been missed. The crew inspected the exposed roof structure, repairing water damage, and recommended adding a chimney cricket to reduce the potential for water damage in the future. The crew was on site the day the roofing materials were delivered, to setup and ensure the roof was protected in case of rain. I was impressed with the quality of their work and how quickly they completed the job in just a few days. Each day the crew cleaned up, and on the final day thoroughly checked the entire property for nails or anything that might have been missed. Grover's knowledge and advice for the vendor reinstalling the electrical solar panels was invaluable and greatly appreciated. I enthusiastically recommend Wonderlin Roofing Systems Sincerely, Dave Burton

I did and the company told me I had to contact Lowe's because they were subcontractors. I contacted Lowe's and they said I had to contact the company that actually did the work. I contacted Manada again and I was told to pay $500 for them to come out and see THEIR own work and that fee would be applied to any work they do! Unbelievable, my father became ill and couldn't deal with this and I did contact the Better Business Bureau and they stated that too many years had passed- it was 3 years. How long is a roof supposed to last?? Regardless, poor craftsmanship and material reflects the job quality of Manada Roofing. I just today, completed the repairs for this winter. This is a shameless unethical company that DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.

Huge thanks to Carol at Sunshine Gutters and Roofing!…read more We had a leaking skylight that was originally installed by another company, and we were preparing for an expensive repair. We received quotes ranging from $1,500 to $4,000 from other roofers and assumed we'd be paying out of pocket. Instead of trying to sell us a repair, Carol suggested we contact Velux directly, as she thought the skylight might still be under warranty. She was absolutely right. Velux confirmed that the skylight is covered and will inspect and repair it under warranty. Carol's honesty, knowledge, and willingness to point us in the right direction saved us thousands of dollars. It's rare to find a company that puts the customer's best interests ahead of making a sale. We are incredibly grateful for her advice and professionalism. If you're looking for a trustworthy roofing company, I highly recommend Sunshine Gutters and Roofing. Thank you again, Carol!

During the job, I paid an additional $200 in cash requested by the technician on site when he said some additional scope wasn't included in the $1,200 project. Later, the company stated they had no record of that payment and billed me for the full amount. I informed them of the payment and disputed the balance. I asked for documentation and clarification on their accounting, but that was never provided. Communication became focused on collection and lien warnings rather than investigating the payment issue. I was pretty shocked how aggressive they were in their phone calls and emails. I recommend that customers keep detailed records and receipts for any work done with this company.
