This company did my roof in 2019- a complete new roof. In 2020 the roof shingles began to lift. I had a different company come and share that the job was poorly done along the ridge and I should contact the company. I did and the company told me I had to contact Lowe's because they were subcontractors. I contacted Lowe's and they said I had to contact the company that actually did the work. I contacted Manada again and I was told to pay $500 for them to come out and see THEIR own work and that fee would be applied to any work they do! Unbelievable, my father became ill and couldn't deal with this and I did contact the Better Business Bureau and they stated that too many years had passed- it was 3 years. How long is a roof supposed to last?? Regardless, poor craftsmanship and material reflects the job quality of Manada Roofing. I just today, completed the repairs for this winter. This is a shameless unethical company that DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. read more

I'll give them a five because the work was good. Communication could have been a little better, but experience tells me that's just par for the course. We had a garage re-roofed and went for the top of the line with all the bells and whistles. The result leaves me happy and their price was right. I had contacted other contractors and not had a good experience. Their sales guy, Ray, responded well when I told him what I wanted and there was no attempt to steer me to something else. I've worked in the trades and know when a good job has been done. read more

Appointment was a breeze to make over the phone for repairing my roof leaking issue. Jesus Mendez showed up on time. Jesus assessed the damages of the roof for repair in half an hour and gave me the reasonable price quote. Appointment for repair was set for 4 weeks out due to holidays season. But, Jesus covered the leakage area of the roof. He also promised me that he will replaced all defective 7 or 8 O-Rings for roof ventilation ports. He did came back after a couple of days later with brand-new O-Rings and replace all the defective ones for me before the heavy rain hit in our area. Jesus came back after New Year and fixed all my roof leakage issues with a professional manners in 2 days. Cleaned up debris from all my gutters, valley areas of the roof along with constant update on the progress. Heavy rain hit in between the repair days and leakage seemed to be completely fixed now. I would like to commend Jesus Mendez for doing the excellent job, the honesty and his professionalism. I had a doubt in the beginning about Manada Roofing Company since I was not able to see recent positive reviews from Yelp or Google. But, I have decided to go with them just to support our local businesses. I am glad that I made a right choice and happy to see that great honest people are still in business. Thanks! read more

Manada Roofing completed a roof project on my home in Oakland's Rockridge District in 2017. My neighbor across the street is a general contractor and was amazed by their skill, quality and thorough work! I rehired them this Summer to replace a tar and gravel roof for our beach house in Bodega Bay with TPC roofing material. Got onto their schedule quickly! All communication was smooth, professional and courteous. This company has fantastic customer service. There were 1-2 spots that needed to be sealed after the job completed and, true to form, they came right out and fixed the problem with a smile... read more

Fast response, professional and fair price. We needed to have the gutters done. They came out the next day for the estimate. Emailed us the proposal- we accepted it. The next week they came back for the job. There were three people working on the project. It took them a day to finish. No debris left at the job site. We are very pleased with the out come. Highly recommend it. read more

We called for an estimate. They wanted over $400 to show up. Enedina offered us to send pictures and measurements and they will provide an estimate. We sent the requested information. Waited one week. Asked for updates and did not get any response. I would not recommend this company due to bad service. read more

Manada Roofing installed new metal roofing at our home in Hayward and the experience from start to finish was great! I called to make an appointment for a quote and within a couple days Ray came by the house to check everything out and show us our options and I had a quote that week. Upon pulling the trigger on the new roof I made the deposit payment over the phone and material orders were placed. Enedina was my main point of contact in the office and she was always extremely helpful with updates, scheduling and payments. The field was just as great. Pascual was very friendly, helpful and informative. I loved that his main priority was always that we were satisfied with the work and that any and all questions were answered. There was one minor bit of trade damage during the demolition of the existing tile roof where it appeared someone had accidentally stepped through ceiling drywall and the very same day it was patched, taped and textured then painted the following day. This small incident showed that Manda Roofing is a company that stands behind their work, owns up to any mistakes or issues and addresses them promptly which I respect very much. Our overall experience with Manada Roofing was very pleasant and all their staff was great. I hope to do business with them all again and have already recommended them to a neighbor looking to have their roof replaced as well. read more

i needed a new roof before installing a solar photovoltaic system. I got about 5 or 6 quotes and Manada roofing gave me one of the best quotes in term of price and the people seemed nice and not snobby like some contractors are. The work was done quickly and they even were able to move some vents within the same estimate. Moving the vents allowed for more solar panels to be installed. Highly recommended business. read more

We needed our gutters redone and we called Manada after remembering them from downtown hayward street party and we love to support local businesses. Ruben came out gave us an estimate and the job was done that same weekend. Fast reliable friendly service highly recommend! read more

THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE LITTLE PEOPLE. I needed my skylight replaced, so I called Manada roofing. Poor customer service. Showed up for appointment and never got back to me on service. I found Manada roofing on BBB.org I needed a skylight replaced. I made contact via their website. They were fast in responding to my message. They said they could come out on Friday September 20th. They changed the scheduling to Monday September 23rd. The rep came into my house and looked at the skylight without taking any measurements. He said he would contact me via email with a quote. I waited until Wednesday September 25th and made contact via email. I have not receive a response with a quote for my skylight. I feel that they looked at my house and assessed that they were not going to make a lot of money with the skylight repair and decided to not do the work. If this was the case then they should have let me know. Up to this point and have not received any kind of communication from them I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS, BUT THEY WON'T LET ME. I GIVE THEM 1 STAR FOR SHOWING UP, BUT THATS IT. read more

As a homeowner who has been burned by multiple contractors on two previous roofing jobs and HVAC , I was hesitant to hire a contractor to replace my roof but could not really do it myself. After getting several quotes I based my decision on 1. Responsiveness and Professionalism 2. Value and the ability of the contractor to fully understand my needs. I chose Manada Roofing and worked with Jesus. This company exceeded all my expectations and did not nickle and dime me for anything. The crews were professional and punctual. Rain did delay the completion but there was not much anyone could do about that. PM me if you would like to see the work and if you need any additional information. Also, Manada was the lowest bidder . read more

I work with a property management company. We had about 6 roof leaks at various locations due to the recent storm. We went to our regular vendors for help and they were busy for quite some time. We decided to give Manada Roofing a chance. Boy were we pleased with their service. They were out right away. Communicated quickly and kept us updated as to the scheduling and progress with tenants. The prices were reasonable and the service professional. They have moved to the top of our list of roofing vendors. If you are looking for a roofing company, give them a try. read more

Review Update: I want to reiterate that in no way was I satisfied with the work or the customer service. If you look at the final repairs you can clearly see the replaced tiles are NOT a color match. While I did appreciate the fact that a representative came out later in the day to try to alleviate the issue, the conversation ended with the rep promising that she would be speaking to the owner about being overcharged and the lies told by the workers. Needless to say, after they billed the payment, I never heard from them again. Again, please do not frame the response to appear that all my concerns were addressed. I remain unsatisfied with what I received in regards to "professional service" and hopefully this review will prevent others from being ripped off like I was. read more

Manada has terrible service and followup. They don't stand by their roofing service and won't warranty their work! I used them to install my roof, and some years later when I started to have leaks, they overcharged me and actually didn't fix problem! When the next major storm hit, I advised them their work didn't fix leak, and they declined to fix it by saying there's no warranty on their work! Don't waste your money! With their change/handover in their management, Manada has now become a scam roofing company...stay away!! read more

I had an appointment to get a estimate for new gutters and dry rot repair. The rep I believe his name was Jesus came out, was very prompt and courteous and said he would email me an estimate either later that day or the next day. When no estimate arrived I called him, he apologized and said he would get it to me later that day. Again, no estimate ever arrived. Called again, now he is not picking up or returning my calls. This has been going on for three days and I explained the work is time sensitive as we are painting exterior our home end of the month. Called the office today, not his cell and left a message that if the company doesn't want the work just let me know so I can look elsewhere. If I have to call this many times, never get a response, maybe that is a sign I need to look elsewhere for a more reliable company that returns calls. Hate leaving a one star review, but this company obviously does not pride themselves on communicating with their customer. read more

I contacted Manada Roofing to install a gutter and downspout on the front of my home (2nd floor). Ricardo came out and evaluated and said he could do it and match the exisiting gutter style. He also noticed that there were a few broken tiles which he said his team could replace. The surprise was that in order to ensure a good install, a few rows of roof tiles needed to be removed from the front. Despite this, the estimate was reasonable in terms of cost, so I hired them. The team came out and performed the work in a day as scheduled. There were a few things I noticed afterwards that I pointed out and Ricardo quickly responded and fixed them up (they were minor things). The install looks great and the rain is moving throught the gutter and away from the house as it should be! I'm glad Ricardo's team replaced the broken tiles and I worry much less about my roof now. I highly recommend Manada Roofing as they do quality work, care about the customer and in the end I got exactly what I wanted for a reasonable price with great service. I will not hesitate to contact them again if I need any further work done on my roof and gutters. read more

From the first contact with Manada through Ruben (the estimator) through the completion of the project was 5 stars. This is an honest and reliable company. The price quote was fair and reasonable. From the tear down to the finished product, workmanship and crews were excellent and respectful, and the staff was a pleasure to work with. I have two types of roofing. They installed 30 year Corning shake and 50 year Membrane, along with gutters. There was more work than expected, but they did not charge for it. Also, they were able to work within my tight schedule and get the project done before the rain. This is a reliable family business that has been doing roofing for over 30 years. - I am Chris W. in Hayward. read more

I'm a stay at home mom of two small boys and find it a struggle to find quality companies that take the time to sit down and go over all the questions I have regarding work that I'd like done. I received several bids regarding replacing our composite garage roof, but either wasn't happy with the price or the brush off I received, I don't know if that was due to the job being on the small side or possibly because I'm a female and they seemed to always as to speak with my husband. I saw Manada Roofing on the BBB website and after looking over their website, decided to call them to come out to give me an estimate. I called the office and was able to get an appointment quickly set up with Edmund. He came out and looked over the job and we talked about what I was looking for to have done. I also expressed my concerns regarding the age and narrowness of our driveway and how they were going to remove the old material without possibly damaging our property. Within a couple of days I received a call from him asking to come back over so that we could sit down and go over the work and estimate. He came well prepared with a binder of information that included their insurance, bonds, BBB rating, certifications, etc. I was pleasantly surprised with the detailed information given as well as the price of the bid. Within a week we decided to go ahead with Manada Roofing. They called to schedule the date of tear off and installation, the job was done in less than two full days! The men working were very polite and were aware that I have to small children so tried to keep noise to a minimum (which I knew would be hard regardless because replacing a roof is not a quiet job). And my concern regarding the driveway? They actually took the time to haul the material by hand down the driveway to their truck! We did a quick walk through after the job was done and I was beyond pleased with how clean the job site was at all times and how great the roof looked. I highly recommend Manada Roofing and will definitely choose them for when our main house needs its roof replaced. read more

I scheduled an appointment with Manada roofing with the purpose of re-roofing my property. Person arrived, inspected roof and we discussed various options for roofing. Manada Roofing Inc. has performed over twenty complete roofing installations for us in the last ten years. They are methodical in their approach and everything runs on a schedule .They simply keep their promises and perform. We are very happy with their quality and price .We have worked with several roofing companies only to find out that some companies will charge you extra for roof flashings and or roof jacks, or even double paper under tile roof installs, which is insane as we consider these items essential for a high quality install that will perform over many years. if you want to have peace of mind with no nightmares ,give this family run business a shot. These guys were great. I chose them randomly as they had a large advertisement in the yellow pages, thought I would use them as a "high bid" to judge other bids. I met their sales rep at the Alameda County fair back in 2011 and we had our roof re-done the same year. It's been a while but I am still very impressed with the work they did and have recommended this company to everyone who has asked for a roofing referral. I had taken many pictures during the days of removal to the beams to the finished product so looking back it reminds me of the amazing job they did, the safety measures they take with their crew (all up to code), and the efficiency of clean up at the end of each day so as not to leave roofing debree on my lawn or down my driveway. Summary: Low bids, you get what you pay for. Our roof leaks. Their warranty isn't worth much, neither is their word. 2 years into a 5 year warranty, When we got the quote, due to drainage issues on our property, we asked them to angle our downspouts towards the street. We asked the guy cutting the gutters to do the same, as well as the young man who installed them. None of this was done. They left all the gutters going the exact same way they were originally, with the downspouts in the same exact location. We asked them to fix it when they finished the job. We asked them to fix it again and again and again, emails, phone, etc. Jesus even came to our house, told us that it couldn't be done (but then he changed his mind before he left and said that it could be done and described how, even sending us a quote for the work later). He said he would fix it for free since we were dissatisfied and since they messed up relaying messages. 2 months later, he sent us an $1,100 quote. He told us that they didn't write it into the contract so therefore they wouldn't honor their word. I'm guessing this is how they achieve the low bid. . They left roofing nails all over our property, including our driveway. (They came back later and cleaned up most of it) . They left our property a mess, with shingles everywhere, debris all over the garden. (They came back a few weeks later and cleaned up most of it) . They didn't do the work that we asked in terms of gutters/downspouts (2 years later and they have yet to fix anything) . They left one of the downspouts disconnected at the roof, so we had a waterfall next to our front porch (They fixed this several weeks later) . They didn't connect one of the suntunnels - it is loose in the attic - They removed insulation around the suntunnels (which is understandable because they are going to cut a hole), but never put the insulation back afterwards (meaning they left huge sections of joists without insulation). - they broke a lot of wood on our roof, their repairman said we should bring it up with "the jefe" - 2 years later, our roof is leaking, there is water in our attic and our ceiling drywall is getting discolored - they say they won't fix it. read more

Manada roof installed a roof for me. The staff was polite and responsive until there were problems. The gutters were not install correctly -- in the rainy season, a light rain would caused overflow in the gutter in several areas. I suspected that it was because not enough downspouts were installed, or the gutters were not installed correctly to allow water to drain to the downspout (as a matter of fact, the contract stated that they only install the gutters but will not adjust the position or slope. Be aware!). So I spent additional $ to have several additional downspouts installed. I selected this company based on the yelp ratings. But my experiences with them have been disappointing. read more

Jose Parez from Manada showed up on time and in a very professional attire, he checked out the roof and suggested chipping away 6 inch of the roof edge and install a rain gutter with the down sprout.
