Finally found another salad joint in Austin and I love this place so much, I have already been here twice in one week. I first tried the caesar salad with added chicken and it was delicious although it was seemingly a basic Caesar salad but like most salads, the dressing is everything. Later on in the week I tried the la pepita along with the kale fritters and a side of bread and all were yummy choices. My husband and I both got salads and we each ordered bread, however, one order of bread comes with two pieces, so if you are not big on bread, one order will suffice. The inside is spacious and the outside contains a very cute patio area although I have yet to experience in-dining. It looks like I might be making a weekly stop at Vinigrette until I make it through the entire menu. read more

I LOVE IT HERE!! Such a cool, calm decor. Natural and clean. The hostess greeted us warmly and seated us right away. The vanilla cardamom soda is IT as is the Blueberry Coconut soda. I've been here twice. On the first visit Mom and I both had the AMAZING Apple-cheddar Chop with pork tenderloin. The second visit we both had the Nutty Pear-fessor salad (no added animal protein). I always get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the main drag on South Congress but this place is a perfect getaway with so many healthy options. My table's order: - Moscow Mule - Admittedly felt like mostly ice compared to beverage but very refreshing none-the-less. - The Beet Goes On (Salad) - I am obsessed with beet salads and this one really hit the spot! If you're a salad person, this place is for you. Came here on a Saturday night and it wasn't too crowded - we got seated immediately. We both ordered the special that night, a duck confit salad with a duck fat-based vinaigrette. It was delicious! I also had a cup of their hot mulled wine with a shot of bourbon. Had the corn appetizer and the peach, prosciutto, and burrata salad off of the seasonal menu--both were hits. Also, the mocktails/virgin drinks are great and love trying new ones each time. Firstly, such a cute spot with plenty of parking reserved for the restaurant. Has outdoor and indoor seating - really big space. Can't believe I hadn't been here before. Excellent place for lunch! They have a huge variety of salads (probably the most I've seen on any restaurant menu) that you can add pork, steak, chicken, or salmon to. Portions are big so you might have some to take home. They also have a big list of non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. I got the kale fritters to start and the nutty pear-fessor with chicken. Tons of outside seating with a private patio and garden area. They also have a huge beautiful tree outside that makes the atmosphere extra special. I LOVE this place. It's like Sweetgreen but waaaaay better and more of a nice sit down experience. I love that they have arsty juices as well as adult beverages! Typically, when I go to a salad place, I always make my own salad because none of the options sound great. At Vinaigrette, I had the opposite problem. This is my go-to place for salads in Austin! There is plenty of seating and it has a nice vibe. The waitstaff is also usually friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that it's a bit pricey. Got seated and table had a dead mosquito right in the middle with crumbs all over the side of the table where condiments were placed. 2. Menus were dirty and sticky to the point that I found myself trying to minimize touching it (and I'm not grossed out easily). 3. My wife noticed a roach walking on the floor under the table behind me. 4. A server never came by during the 15 minutes we sat there experiencing the previous 3 items above. (The silver lining here is that it made walking out before ordering anything.) There was a lot of parking which i was surprised by since it by South Congress area. The food was speedy and the staff was really nice and polite. Such a gorgeous place with a huge tree in the middle of the outdoor seating area! The salads were delicious, I had the beet salad with artichoke and I'm still dreaming about it. Oftentimes with beet salads, I feel that the amount of goat cheese added can be overwhelming or that the dressing drowns out the natural goodness and sweetness of the beets, but the salad at Vinaigrette had the perfect amount of everything and was well balanced. I enjoyed every bite. The artichoke was so tender, delicious...I did not miss meat at all. My one complaint is that it was so expensive! I think $25 for my salad because I added the artichoke. Unfortunately due to the price, I won't be coming often...but I'll never forget that salad despite not being a salad girly! read more

We recently spent a little over a week in the area while some work was being done on our house. After having dinner and splitting the most amazing Cobb Salad with seared tuna steak in it, we came back the following evening to have the same thing with seared scallops this time. The mix of veggies and dressing was just perfect. The salad was huge and they were glad to split it into two bowls for us. It was definitely one of the best salads we've ever eaten. Austin's hottest restaurant is vinaigrette (it's been around for a long time lol) I came here not expecting much, just a good salad, but I was truly blown away when I entered this fine establishment. I mean really, I was ebullient at the sight of the mid century modern light pendants and the lavish green tile. I ordered the Cuban torta, sadly only a side Caesar salad, but this sandwich was downright dangerous!! If I had one more bite the staff would've had to roll me out of there! My brother ordered the Mexican medio litro coke, which I had the honor of sipping from, and when I tell you that it tied the whole meal if not restaurant together, it did just that. No dessert for us sadly, but we did have an amazing time with the amazing staff! We had reservations for 5:30, but it was not needed as there were only 2 tables booked! Feel free to come in at any time of the day, I'm sure you will be able to enjoy this amazing gem located just off of south Congress! As I try to type this, my mouth is watering! Vinaigrette was recommended to me by multiple friends, and once I walked through the gorgeous glass doors I saw what all the buzz was about! This humble salad and sandwich establishment knocked my socks off with the apple cheddar chop salad! I had already read reviews of this specific salad, and I can confidently say it was definitely the best salad I've ever consumed. The portion of pork was very generous, the green apples gave such a nice and sweet crunch, and the sharp white cheddar tied the whole thing together! While travelling in Austin, I have thoroughly enjoyed the TexMex and southern cuisine - but my body was definitely craving some healthier fare. Thankfully, friends who had dined at Vinaigrette in Santa Fe had highly recommended we dine here if we needed some salad. I am such a fan of the outdoor and indoor atmosphere here! The interior seems like a great place to spend some time away from the heat enjoying some healthy bowls, while the outdoor space is magical underneath the massive tree. I tried to spend as much time as possible outdoors, even on this day when it was raining slightly, but the tree does provide a good amount of cover. The food was amazing, and just what we needed! The variety of salad options was inspiring, and I realized that I can seriously up my salad game back home! However, the service was very slow, despite us being one of the only tables dining with many staff. It took over 20 minutes to even receive water, but we were on vacation and not in a rush so we were not bothered by that. There is ample parking behind the restaurant, which made our experience at Vinaigrette much easier than some other more popular restaurant areas. read more

I love the food here. It's always nice to eat something fresh. Never had a bad meal here. Very consistent. Easy parking. But.... Here's why it's not getting 5 stars There's no separate checks. It's 2023. Every restaurant does separate checks these days. It's so easy. The only reason this would be a no would be you have an outdated pos system or you just don't want to do math. I mean the local strip mall Vietnamese mom and pop shop in south austin lets you do separate checks and they barely have a register. It's just math. Not hard. The next thing that keeps me going there more often is the servers opinions of the owner. I've had one server say the owner is a nightmare. Then I had one server months apart say the owner is a bitch. So disappointing to hear. The servers are really good. I would even say some are too friendly but I realize that's just me being in a hurry or I'm hangry. Do better owner. It feels yucky to support the place now. read more
