Bacon, egg and cheese on a toasted everything.. just so good!

I just moved back to the neighborhood and have to say this is my go-to breakfast spot. The wife and I take a weekly walk to this awesome bagel spot for breakfast and we are always greeted with a smile and a welcoming good morning by the crew. The bagels are fresh, and the bread is even fresher. You can take out or sit-in. They have specialty sandwiches, cold cuts by the pound, and a range of desserts. Stop by, grab a sandwich and hang out. You wont be disappointed!

Great bagels, great family-run business! The plain bagel is my favorite. It's hard to get good flavor from plain bagel, but this one has flavor and a nice chew.

Amazing bagels and great service. I walked over for a bagel once to kill time. The staff was so nice and friendly. Gave me a free coffee and I ended up buying a half dozen bagels to go in addition. (You get 2 extra free with a half dozen). The bagels were delicious and fresh. Only downfall is I ended up throwing 3 away because they started to mold after a week...I had them stored in plastic but what did I expect since they are fresh and don't have those store bought preservatives. Next time I just won't buy so many at once. I can't wait to try their breakfast sandwiches. They looked good.

    Plenty of sweets!

You could walk into almost any…read moreneighborhood and have your pick of incredible baked goods, often from family-run shops specializing in different ethnic traditions. Over the years, as many of those bakers retired, the number of quality bakeries slowly dwindled. One by one, many of the old favorites disappeared. So when Aphrodite's opened, I was eager--and a bit skeptical--to see if it would be worth the trip. Then I tried their mini cheese empanadas, and that settled it. These little sweet treats are unbelievably addictive. I've brought them to gatherings and shared them with friends and family, and without fail they disappear almost instantly. I honestly can't think of another baked item I've purchased that has been so universally loved. Since then, I've started exploring more of their pastries and baked goods, and each visit has been a pleasant surprise. One item seems better than the next. No, the prices are not cheap--but the quality absolutely justifies it. In this case, you really do get what you pay for. If you stop in, do yourself a favor and try the mini cheese empanadas--you'll understand why they've become my go-to order.

The layers were flaky. The cream, exceptional. Such a wonderful Pistachio flavor. Sweet enough to curb any sweet tooth. Service was easy. We ordered at the pastry display and they brought our desserts to the counter where we also ordered a Lavender lemonade. It was so good. Starbucks Lavender has nothing on theirs. The ambiance was nice. Some camped on their laptops. Others running in for a quick bite. Beautiful dining area. Very comfortable, as well. The booth couches are a nice touch. We will most definitely be back!

I ordered the strawberry tart, lemon tart and pistachio Mille fille. I really appreciated the packaging and the takeout bag, which made it seem very high end. The pastries were all pretty good and were HUGE. The tarts are very similar and the pistachio Mille fille has a subtle taste. It was reasonably priced. My only complaint is the checkout process. It was slightly disorganized but I think it was mostly due to the amount of customers they had that day.
