AMAZINGLY fresh donuts. Made on premises. Soft, fluffy, not greasy. Service is friendly and quick. Ambiance is awesome. Small but tidy, clean and hip.

Grounds is a small shop but big flavors. Staff was fast with service and the cafe Cubano I had was perfection. Sweet yet strong. As for donuts there are so many options and honestly hard to choose but in a good way. The cinnamon bun donut was by far my favorite. Tastes exactly like a cinnamon roll with the lightness of a donut. The perfect pairing with their amazing coffee.

Treat yourself to a visit to this donut bakery! The shop radiates warmth the moment you step in, with a festive glow, inviting decor, helpful staff and a welcoming aromas that make you want to sample every flavor as you feast your eyes on the varieties of donuts. Each donut tastes crafted with quality ingredients- vanilla bean, rich cocoa, and jelly fillings that are full of fruit like black raspberry and honey apple. Great for breakfast choices are their maple bacon donut with smoky-sweet crisp bacon bits on maple glaze, fruity pebbles crunch donut and coffee cake donut with streusel crunch and a moist crumbs. For creamy donut lovers, the requisite boston cream donut delivers a lush custard center and a not too sweet chocolate glaze, and the tres leche donut is ambrosian, milky and rich. There is always a nod to the current time of the year- it's back to school now, autumn leaves, crisp air and the shop is featuring apple cider, pumpkin glazed, and coconut macaroon donuts. Some of the adventurous flavors are easily recognizable standouts from classic sweet comforts like cookies and cream, peanut butter oreo, or my fave, samoa donuts with chocolate icing, toasted coconut and caramel drizzle. My Mr. is all about the caramel chocolate pretzel donut. As a precautionary measure, my friends and I have taken to going halfsies rather than consuming a whole donut apiece to better sample the varieties without turning into a dozen donuts ourselves. Good thing too as we've discovered the other two locations in the Putnam and Fairfield areas we frequent. If you're stocking up for a gathering or treating family and friends, this bakery has you covered. Highly recommended for anyone who wants an above average donut experience or needs a sweet gift that is unique, thoughtful, and tailored to the tastes of the season.

Grounds is a welcomed Bronx addition. Their donuts are inventive and very good. I was happy to have had a chance to try them out. I picked up a bacon and maple donut for hubby to try and it was really tasty. Not too sweet, with just the right amount of bacon. Their drinks are good also. They have bursting boba and lemonade, if you're not looking for caffeine. Their lattes are interesting. Owner, Stephanie, and her baristas, were very welcoming. I'll definitely be back.

Love the donuts too delicious. It was ordered from uber eats, from my coworker for my early b day gift. I was so excited. The service is always great. I've haven't been to the actual store yet but I definitely love the donuts. Try them all so far so good with all the choices I had today

This might just be the cutest and swankiest little donut shop I've stumbled upon in a while! There's a sweet setup with two chairs and a table outside--just enough to enjoy the moment. I got to witness the most heartwarming scene: a dad and his daughter sharing donuts together--seriously, melted me. I went with the coffee donut and WOW... it was absolutely delicious. They had a tempting variety, but I kept it simple this time and was not disappointed. The coffee? Just the right balance--smooth and satisfying. Customer service? Impeccable. The young lady behind the counter was so kind and helpful, instantly making the whole place feel warm and welcoming. And can we talk about the decor?! LOVE. It's bright, colorful, and full of personality--just like the vibe of the shop. I'll definitely be back!

So I'm not an ordinary caffeine guy, but my girlfriend runs on coffee so when you add that to the very unorthodox but amazing selection of donuts & sweets they got here, it's a pretty good combo!! Plus it's in my neighborhood and I'm all about supporting small local biz!! Staff are always welcoming & such a vibe with their energy and the hidden gem vibe makes it worth the while.

Good coffee, lots of crazy flavors if you're looking for something sweet. Great donuts, they had some original flavors and the classics. Staff was very kind!

After an initial Yelp pick-up event, I've visited this business at least once a week. The donut flavors change constantly so I have to try them all. This week's selection are Lemon Cheesecake, Blueberry Cheesecake, Carrot cake and Rainbow cannoli cream. Coffee, lattes and sandwiches are also on the menu. Great customer service. See you next week.

I heard about this donut shop on social media, and after seeing the pictures of the food they sold I had to go check it out. And I wasn't disappointed! Upon entering the shop the fresh baked donut aroma had my mouth watering. The service was great. The young lady who prepared my Dubai pistachio chocolate latte was so friendly (and helpful with selecting my donuts) that I returned for more coffee and donuts the next day. The donuts I would compare to a taste of heaven... DIVINE! not overly sweet, light and fluffy. I ordered 6 donuts and a medium size coffee for about $35. Let me not forget that the shop's decor was so sweet and I laughed out loud at the sign hanging... "I Licked It, So It's Mine!" The neighborhood was busy but I was able to find parking spots on both days that I visited.

It was my day off so I hopped on over to the shop for the first time. Saw a post about them last week and knew I had to check them out and happy to say I wasn't disappointed. The shop is small but quint. I loved the leaf wall with the words "I liked it, so it's mine". I left with their Strawberry Shortcake Mini Donut Boat, the Strawberry Cheesecake Donut and the Caramel Coffee Cake Donut. I also left promising to bring back my family with me and i did just that. Everything is top notch and super delicious. The staff here is so friendly and helpful, you can tell they enjoy their job. EDIT: This spot has become my weekend splurge. I drive across town for this treat every Saturday

I've wanted to check out this location since coming across their social media accounts. The Bronx, in comparison to the rest of our NYC boroughs, doesn't have as much variety in specialty restaurants, cafe, or shops. So when a unique business pops up, I love to patronize them! The shop itself is super cute with awesome decor and art on the walls. The staff greeted me right away, and were friendly and helpful. The donuts are in clear view, and as I waited they were bringing out fresh ones. Additionally, they offer a variety that seems to rotate throughout the year. I picked up a few flavors: the guava and cheese, samoa, strawberry cinnabun, cinnabun, and Boston cream. When I got home, my husband and I sampled a piece of each donut, and they were delicious. Light and fluffy, but packed with flavor. Grounds does not skimp on ingredients! Additionally, I purchased a pistachio Dubai style latte and cold brew with oatmilk to pair with our donuts. While we appreciated the lattes as early morning pick-me-ups, my husband and I found the espresso to be on the bitter side, which unfortunately isn't our favorite. However, we would love to try some of the other drinks on our next visit. If you are a donut or dessert lover, please do yourself a favor and check out Grounds Donut House, you won't regret it! :)

So take this in the spirit of constructive feedback guys. I tried to contact you directly but was told no one was available. I've been to side door donuts 3 times now but only was able to get donuts once. The first time I went I came too late, I didn't realize this was a side business run out the back of Billy and Pete's. They apologized but stayed firm, 20 minutes too late, sorry.. want a burger? Second visit, we made sure we were there shortly after opening time. Again we left donutless, is that a word? It is certainly a depressing feeling. As it happened, the donut machine was broken and they were waiting for a part. Weeks now. It was smack in the middle of Covid and I understood. I would have preferred that they updated on Google maps or something but what the hell, we had a nice 25 minute drive and hit up Duck Donuts instead. The third and last time was successful for Donuts but the experience was so bad I won't be back. Ever. The donuts are small. Like really small. And for $20 bucks total not worth it. They are good. Actually really good but my surprise, and embarrassment as I brought them to a friend's house as my contribution to brunch, 2 dozen bite size donuts equals 4-5 regular ones. Ok. Learned. But here's the biggest issue. After such a buildup trying to get these donuts, over the course of years, we were faced with the meanest, difficult person to guild us through our experience. She was older, unhappy, disinterested, unhelpful and just an ass. I stated it was our first time and not sure where to go as she yelled at us for opening the side door. There are no signs. Side door donuts.. you'd think you gotta go in the side door. Nope. I explained our buildup and excitement of finally getting here after our disappointing broken machine visit.. she said that the machine has never broken. I didn't want to argue.. I just wanted donuts. I asked what was popular and she said how do I know what you like and walked away without explanation. There was no menu. Finally she hands me something to look at but I'm already like F this. I said I needed to bring something for a brunch, she said 2 dozen but tell me which ones ... annoyed I replied whatever. I paid, no tip and when I got the box I didn't bother to look as I just wanted to put as much distance between her and I as quickly as possible, there was also a kids birthday party going on surrounding us so that also made me want to run. The donuts looked good and everyone at brunch laughed and said they were cute. No man wants to ever hear anything that starts with "aw that's tiny but cute". Donuts were good. We fought over who got what and there was definitely not enough. I wish the bitchy lady at the donut place explained what I was ordering as I never would have guessed 2 dozen donuts would be so unsatisfying. I would have bought 4 dozen had I known... So, donuts good, experience very bad. Too expensive for what I got and customer lost. Too many other places that want our money. Please do better.

Pretty good doughnuts. Their size is perfect bite size and they are just too adorable!read more

They a diverse variety of gourmet donuts. The only problem I had was having to choose because I wanted to explore them all. These are a couple of the donuts I selected: Maple Bacon: Originally, I was hesitant about combining a breakfast meat with a pastry. As soon as I took my first bite, I instantly fell in love with this unique creation. It had a sweet and salt taste. If you decide to try the maple bacon, you'll have to wait until the weekend because it isn't available Monday through Friday. Ring Ding: This is identical to a Hostess Ring Ding. The inside is plentifully filled with chantilly cream. It is rich and very sweet; supplementing a glass of milk is highly recommended. There is a small dining area, which seats about 6-8 customers. There is a decent amount of parking in the front and back of the strip mall. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the perfect place. The lady who assisted me was so sweet, so friendly and it was nice to come all the way from the city and be greeted with such lovely hospitality. She was working by herself and she had a couple of other customers waiting, but made everyone feel like a priority. She was a natural professional lol. The prices were quite pricey, which each donut flavor having its own price, my box of minis with tax and tip were about 40 bucks! Although I can't complain because I got a box free. I also can tell my donuts were freshly made with quality ingredients and the flavors are true to its donuts name. Although my visit was really for the banana foster, my favorite turned out to be the cannoli. They nailed that donut true to its original interpretation of what a cannoli is but made into a donut. My daughters loved the flavors of their selections although the strawberry cheesecake was a bit sweeter than she expected and liked. A bit overwhelming is how she put it. She would have been satisfied with just the mini size. Overall I think the next time I'm in town I may stop by for a half of dozen of minis because of the prices and because some flavors were better than others. I also wouldn't mind trying some of the signature donuts. So yes make a visit because it worth one. Two thumbs up and a Happy Yelping!
