My friend and I randomly found ourselves exploring Yonkers last weekend and there was a huge street festival going on with several vendors. We had already eaten earlier in the day and were dying for a sweet treat. The line was literally around the block for this ice cream shop, but we persevered and decided if so, many people are lining up it must be something worthy. A few days have passed and I'm still thinking about this amazing ice cream. This is literally the creamiest, most balanced, texturally pleasing ice cream I've ever had. I got a scoop of the taro and the messy girl. They both come with divine chunks of cookie and graham. The ice cream is smooth and not too sweet which I loved. We also got the banana pudding, which was absolutely to die for, very light, creamy with the perfect wafer to cream ratio. As a texture girly, I felt seen and heard about the ratio of crunch, and clusters in all their creations. Do not skip the spot if you are in the area.
I just had to come back and rave about this sweet spot! Last time I was here, I had the most incredible ice cream (and I'm not even exaggerating!), and today I decided to try the hot chocolate with a toasted marshmallow and whipped cream - WOW. It was rich, chocolatey, and everything a hot chocolate should be. Not watered down or lacking flavor like some places can be. Paired it with a chocolate chip walnut cookie and I was in heaven! If you're in the neighborhood, DO NOT miss out on this gem. Can't wait to come back and try more treats!
Line out the door thanks to the small indoor space, but absolutely worth the wait. I tried the Dominican vanilla and the bizcocho, and it instantly took me back to having Helados Bon in DR. The small batch ice cream means every bite is packed with rich flavor, and the cake pieces were perfectly spongy, almost like a tres leches (they even offer a tres leches flavor). The shop is also filled with fun stickers, decor, and art, so there's plenty to look at while you wait to pick your new favorite flavor.
After a not-so-solid brunch, I figured Lost Borough in Yonkers- tucked not too far from the Hudson River, would be the perfect spot to top off our day with some ice cream. I'd seen them on Instagram, and that alone was enough to get my interest going. The space is small, but there's a sense that they can pack a lot into it. The flavor lineup had some cool highlights like fig+walnut, Dominican pineapple cake (tasty but could've used more oomph), Yonkers Blackout (chocolate), Red Velvet and others. They also had ridiculously thick cookies (I zapped mine in the microwave for 10 seconds at home to soften them up), their well-known banana pudding, and a few other treats that I didn't bother asking for fear they "were all out". My daughter and I grabbed a mix of single scoops, doubles, and cookies. The service was honestly great- super patient while my kid tried several pinky nail-sized samples of the few flavors they had available that Sunday. Price-wise? Not cheap, but not wild either. What stood out was the creativity of the flavors. I love an ice cream parlor that isn't afraid to step outside the vanilla-chocolate box... but for an early Sunday visit, there wasn't even their only Blackout chocolate available. And their total number of flavors available could've been counted on one hand. For a place with such promise and people boosting Lost Borough's personality, I left... lost.
After getting recommendations from this place and seeing others experience on IG I finally made a trip to check out the ice cream. The shop is very unique for the area and it has a cute decor. The ice cream shop is quite small so it's more of a buy and go place. I appreciate the creativity of the flavors many inspired by Puerto Rican and Dominican culture. I've had bizcocho-cake, the banana pudding which was amazing and cookies cookies cookies. Even if you're not in the area it's a place worth checking out

Today I stopped off here and got their messy girl ice cream and their taro ice cream. Messy girl: REALLY good, vanilla ice cream, strawberry preserves/sauce, some cake inside. Very good. Taro: eh, wasn't nearly as good as the messy girl, it wasn't bad, but it was nowhere near as good as messy girl. Overall: the place doesn't really have anywhere to sit, plus it is super packed with long lines. That being said, the staff is friendly, the unique ice cream flavors really good. Will be back to.
As a new spot in the neighborhood, my friends and I were excited to check it out. We sampled the Coquito and Dominican Vanilla, but unfortunately, both left a lot to be desired. Since they just opened, we plan to give them another chance down the road once they have time to settle in and find their groove.
I've been following Lost Boroughs via IG for months. Finally, I made it. It's a small shop filled with sweet aromas of pure vanilla and chocolate. I tried the bizcocho flavor and it is decadent! Sweet, very sweet, pieces of cake. We had the grape nuts and the lavender, all delicious. And for those who dairy does not sit well with us, I am happy to report NO issues at all. While you're there don't forget to look up. The ceiling is a work of art.

The owner attended my friend and myself and was very friendly and shared local triva and history. He let me sample several flavors and all equally good. I opted on a strawberry shortcake scoop and an additional lemon blueberry pondcake. My friend got the Dominican vanilla with sprinkles. We also got banana pudding. The ice-cream itself was DELICIOUS. Very smooth and creamy and I love the fact it is flavorful put not very sweet. The banana pudding tasted homemade. I plan on buying to take to a holiday party. The establishment itself is very small yet cute. Without a doubt I recommend and will be returning. This is a small local business that deserves the support of the community.

I had a waffle cone with the Bizcocho and Red Velvet flavors, and wow!! Both were so rich, creamy, and full of flavor, but not too sweet. The Banana Pudding too was a huge hit with my family, everyone was obsessed with it, and we were still talking about it. But the flavors weren't the only highlight, the service was amazing. Diego and Taylor were both super patient and friendly, which I appreciated so much because we had to try some flavors before our final pick. The only negative about Lost Borough is that you are limited to two samples. Every flavor was so incredibly unique and representative of Latino culture. I wanted to try every flavor. I'll just have to come back instead. I ended up choosing watermelon sugar which is a cream based not ice based as expected. This made it so creamy and brought out the sugar flavor in a way that didn't make it too sweet. The line outside is well worth the wait read more
After seeing a viral video, I had to check out Lost Borough Ice Cream to see what all the hype was about! The shop is small, so the line went out the door, and I waited about 20 minutes to place my order. There's a small table and some high chairs for seating, but I chose to take my order to go. I was especially excited to try the viral hot chocolate--and it did not disappoint! The graham cracker was delicious, and the marshmallow is torched for an amazing smoky flavor. Loved this place!! Tiny but cute decor, standing only. The employees were fast and friendly. We tried the Yonkers Blackout, Brown Butter, Coquito, and Honeydew flavors. Everything was perfect. Delightful, rich flavored. Will definitely be coming here any time I'm downtown again!!! read more

Dominican owned ice cream shop! Came for the bizcocho ice cream and definitely did not disappoint! The Ice cream has sprinkles and chunks of cake mixed in. Very nostalgic! The service was great and even though there was a line it was not a long wait. Definitely best ice cream I've had in a while and it's local! Need to return for the banana pudding and the cookies! read more

This spot has been all over my social media, so I was excited to come & check their shop out! I came in & was instantly greeted by the staff & the smell of fresh baked cookies. The shop is small, but there's a lot to look & see decor-wise. The ice cream flavors they have are so fun & creative; I decided to try their Cookies, Cookies, Cookies & Bizcocho ice cream & both were so good! I had a sample spoon of their Taro ice cream &&& I will surely be back for 2 scoops of that! I also decided to get a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie, but when I got home I realized it was underbaked & ended up fully cooking it when I got home. This ice cream shop is incredible. From the moment I walked in, it felt like I had discovered a hidden gem. The vibe was warm, fun, and inviting--like the kind of place that instantly puts a smile on your face. But the real magic? The banana pudding ice cream. Oh. My. Goodness. I've had a lot of banana pudding in my life, but nothing comes close to what they're serving here. It was rich, creamy, perfectly sweet, and loaded with real banana flavor. Not that artificial stuff. Went here to try some of the popular items this spot offers. I got to try the banana pudding which was very good. It was light, fluffy and refreshing. I was also able to try their malta milkshake which was very good. They used dominican vanilla ice cream which tasted authentic. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. I visited for the Bizcocho ice cream, and it certainly lived up to the hype. With full sized chunks of moist cake-- this definitely set the bar up high for ice cream. The charming, intimate space exudes a cozy ambiance, perfect for enjoying a sweet treat. The service was exceptional, adding to the overall delightful experience. I couldn't resist leaving with a selection of other indulgences, including cookies and banana pudding, all of which were equally wonderful. read more

This ice cream was the so called Messy Girl Strawberry Shortcake with so called pieces of Shortcake in it. Unfortunately where is the Strawberry or Shortcake? It looks and taste nothing short of Vanilla Icream. Maybe they call it Strawberry Shortcake because it's SHORT of both Strawberry and Cake. What was even more disappointing is that I drove from New Jersey to try this social media viral ice-cream to be completely disappointed. I'm definitely not saying the other flavors aren't good, I also purchased two cookies and they were very good i must say. read more

I'm pretty angry that the summer has passed and I didn't know about this ice cream being made in Yonkers. Luckily, I'm prone to eating ice cream all year long...because this place is just *so* good. It's everything you want in an ice cream- smooth, creamy, and delicious with an emphasis on premium quality. And if you're into inventive flavors - this is your place. (Don't worry, they let you sample and really explain the flavors to you if you have any questions.) We made the wise choice of skipping dinner and making ice cream the main course, so we got larges (and they are LARGE) and we each got two flavors. Husband got cookies and cream and chocolate - both so good. I got the rose and candied pecan (!!) and the strawberry shortcake. These flavors are thoughtful and the add-ins are really well made. The cookies in the cookies in cream have been baked with an abundance of butter to get a delightful sandy/melting texture. The pecans in the rose were large and beautifully candy-coated for an intense crunch- and that rose flavor was front and center. With a rotating cast of ice cream flavors, I'll be back. A real gem in the downtown Yonkers area. Newly opened ice cream shop offers hand crafted ice cream, sorbets and vegan options made onsite. The Owner is a really nice man who will happily tell you the story behind the shops name as well as the beautiful mural painted on the entry wall by a local artist. He's happy to give you a taste of any flavor. On our visit some of the flavors were vegan vanilla, vegan matcha-vanilla, blueberry crumb, strawberry shortcake, rose with praline pecans, grape nut, chocolate grape nut. Get a scoop, sugar cone or home made waffle cone. After sampling both the Coffee with Almond Biscotti and Peanut Butter & Jelly we got two small cups. He scooped two large scoops into the cup which was more than plenty to eat. So creamy and delicious. And reasonably priced. Treat yo' self to several different toppings with your ice cream cone or cup. I know it's still winter but ice cream knows no season. Enjoy. read more

Great place. It's a little spot which has a variety of ice creams. I noticed the place has a nice aesthetic with cool drawings on the ceiling. The ice cream that I ordered was a the strawberry ice cream. The ice cream was very delicious and it had real chucks of shortbread in the ice cream. The service was great! I would go back to try other options they have on the menu read more
