Morning Drink- (The 'E1'): Peanut Butter/Bananas/Vegan Protein Powder & Almond Milk

Healthy Fresh has been on an expansion spree, and for good reason. To add, this Healthy Fresh is identical (almost) to their Morris Park location. Part of the reason why I like Healthy Fresh is because they have a wide-ranging menu that covers fresh Produce and Veggies for all your Fresh Pressed Juice and Smoothie needs. Plus they also offer Salads with several meat or cheese proteins to choose from. Healthy Fresh's E. Tremont & Bruckner Expwy corner location is no doubt chaotic in the p.m. But on a low-key morning, parking up front shouldn't be a problem- then again, I parked right at the bus stop with one eye on my back and the other scoping out the Smoothie menu to avoid the meter maid. Anyhow...Throggs Neck doesn't have an endless list of fresh-pressed Juices+Smoothies+ Salad places on the strip. And aside from Juices For Life (which I dig too) those guys are straight up drinks with no meals. My Plant-Based Smoothie gave me a nice boost and I didn't mind coming here at the crack of dawn.

Create your own salad. Super fresh ingredients and great portions.

Love HealthyFresh and their portions, fresh ingredients and services. The work stations are always clean and the workers are very hard working and kind.

I love being able to recommend a steakhouse that dry ages its own meats right here in the neighborhood. Yesterday, we were a bit pressed for time, so we ordered the lamb chops, skirt steak, and, of course, a nice bottle of wine. Everything was fantastic. The lamb chops were phenomenal, easily among the best I've had at any restaurant. They were incredibly flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. I'm usually not someone who enjoys eating the fat on meat, but the fat on these chops was rendered so beautifully that I found myself eating every bite. There wasn't a single chewy or unpleasant piece. I normally order the porterhouse or ribeye, but the skirt steak was an excellent choice when I wanted something leaner and quicker to enjoy without sacrificing flavor. The fried potato salad is another standout. It's a unique side that's absolutely worth ordering. And then there's the peppercorn sauce served with the lamb chops. It's a total mic drop. I honestly can't put into words how good it is. I found myself dipping everything in it (even my fingers ). It's that delicious! Fiorentina continues to impress every time we visit, and it's become one of my favorite places to recommend for a great steak dinner.

I noticed other new items, such as the pork Ossobuco, which sounded better on paper, but Felix, who had taken over from Irma, stated the Pork Chop was better than the Ossobuco and accounts for my to go order. I still wonder about that decision, but the important thing is Home Bx is constantly evolving while the chefs in the kitchen remain constant and consistent. The roasted chicken is really good and verges on comfort food. It comes with a malanga truffle puree, which is a puree of the malanga tuber in the Caribbean and South America, resulting in a consistency of mashed potatoes, but has a nutty flavor that becomes very earthy with the butter, truffle oil and mushroom sauce, sparked with white wine and bits of bacon that has you thinking pancetta. The sauteed spinach accompanying this dish melds perfectly well with this dish. The chicken is the boneless breast and bone-in wing drumette, grilled in their kitchen. The skin is crispy and there is some char from the grill on certain parts, lending even greater favor and texture you will devour. The white meat of the breast absorbs the white wine, balanced with the butter and truffle oil and never has a hint of dryness. I am certain this dish would have been exceptional had I eaten it on premises. It will not have the impact of the Cote de Boeuf, but, at twenty seven bucks, this is probably the sleeper on the menu. Four stars. The Home Pork Chop is a single French cut chop, medium thickness, bone-in resembling a mini Tomahawk style frenched bone. It comes with a Marsala mustard sauce, which I could not determine if it was made with a dry red or white Marsala wine. It was served with an Oriental sweet potato mashed that did not do anything for this dish in my opinion. I would have to revisit this by eating it on premises, but this was the least impressive of the steak and chicken. Please take this review a little lightly, given I ate the chicken and pork chop at home. The pork chop benefits from being grilled as well, but did not have the impact other preparations have at Home Bx. If the Marsala mustard sauce had more bite to it, the Oriental sweet potato would have offered the contrast and juxtaposition for this dish to shine more. You'll enjoy eating the rest of the meat off that frenched pork chop bone. 3.8 stars. They work very hard at Home Bx to deliver on your plate for the benefit of your palate. Home Bx may be the only restaurant I have found that is receiving feedback and acting upon it and without anyone's prompts and Home Bx is independently evolving in their menu, preparation, and presentation. If there's any doubt, try their Lobster Mac and Cheese and get back to me or ask the folks nearby who ordered it.

When I arrived the entire lower level was empty. Not only did they make no gesture to accommodate them in any other way, this is an EXTREME ADA violation, and could have very well been a lawsuit. The manager, Jimmy, sat and watched as both my grandmother and great uncle struggled to take the stairs, no hand of assistance. When I approached him, I was told 'what's the big deal, so you had to take some stairs'. I told him my uncle fell last year and was hospitalized for 6 months, if you see someone in a walker, why would you do this? His response 'I don't know what you want me to do, buy you a drink?'. Not only was their overall service awful and food barely edible, this is one of the most unaccommodating, disrespectful, and genuinely unsafe establishments I've ever been to.

We ordered the porterhouse, creamed spinach, calamari, baked clams, the jumbo baked potato, and some pasta. The porterhouse was perfectly seasoned, and it was enough for three people to share. Whatever sauce the baked clams were doused in, I need that recipe. I used the complementary bread to soak up some of that juice and it was amazing. Their espresso martinis were also really good and strong. The only thing I did not like was the jumbo baked potato. It just felt like there was Velveeta cheese slathered on top, so if there's an item I would pass on, it would be this one. Just get regular mashed potatoes. The service was amazing. The owner came out to meet with us multiple times. Our waiters were very attentive and gave us ample time to order. They literally cut our meat and served it for us. The ambience was really nice. It's your usual steakhouse joint, with dim lighting. However, the best part about this dinner was that they seated us in a private room with one other party. It was very intimate and nice and I don't think I could've asked for better service. The cherry on top was that they came out with limoncello shots to end the night. If you're in the Westchester area, please definitely come check this place out. It is worth the money, time, and effort. You will not be disappointed.

The owner was very gracious and offered us six complementary oysters since we couldn't sit at the bar. The oysters weren't our favorite that evening, the rest of the meal more than made up for it. The rest of the meal was very enjoyable. The crab cake was enormous, the grilled octopus was excellent - my son loved it - and the veal with prosciutto and melted cheese was tasty. The baked potato was huge and cooked perfectly. I ordered a cocktail and they made me one with elderflower which was nice but a little sweet for my taste. My friend's Manhattan was nice and strong. What stood it the most was the hospitality. The owner went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience, and that level of service is sobering we really appreciated. Next time we'll probably make it an adult only happy hour so we can enjoy the bar menu.

Before I could even speak with the bartender, a man who later appeared to be the manager immediately approached me in a rude and confrontational manner about seats at the bar that had drinks sitting there but no people present. I calmly explained that I only needed a place to sit briefly while ordering and that I would gladly move once the guests returned. What made the situation extremely uncomfortable was that he repeatedly tapped me while speaking to me. I politely told him to stop touching me because it was inappropriate and intimidating. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he became louder and increasingly disrespectful. If this person was truly the manager, his behavior reflected a complete lack of professionalism, customer service, and respect especially toward a woman who was simply trying to order food and enjoy a family event peacefully. Managers are supposed to de-escalate situations, introduce themselves professionally, and treat guests with courtesy. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here at all. The atmosphere and overall experience left such a negative impression on me that I would never personally return or spend my money there again. The only reason I stayed briefly was because my cousin encouraged me not to leave during our family celebration. I frequent many upscale establishments throughout New York and New Jersey and have encountered countless managers and hospitality professionals over the years. This experience stood out for all the wrong reasons. Respect and professionalism cost nothing, and unfortunately, neither was shown that evening.

One Rare Italian Steakhouse in the village of Scarsdale pulled it off! My family and I have been here twice for dinner and both times it was busy! We did make reservations ahead of time so we didn't really have to wait for our table. The restaurant is simple but chic and cozy with dark lightings. Service was great! The waiters were all nice and attentive! Our water glasses were never emptied and the plated the food for you too. Now for the food: Appetizer: Bread basket: (5/5) a huge complimentary basket of onion rolls and sliced bread with butter. Delicious! Calamari: (5/5) crispy and tasty. Love the fried pickled peppers too! Salads: Caesar salad: (5/5) love their dressing. It's a little more peppery than others but I really it with the fresh crunchy romaine lettuce. Portion was on the smaller end though. House: (3/5) fresh mixed greens along with tomatoes and a vinaigrette dressing. Nothing special and small portion Porterhouse: (5/5) we got the porterhouse for four medium rare. It was cooked to perfection! The nice char outside and the juicy tender meat inside was an absolute treat! It comes out piping hot and the waiter is there to serve you. This is why you come to a steakhouse! It's truly the star of the show! Creamed spinach: (5/5) smooth and silky but not too creamy just the way I like it. You don't even need to chew! Sautéed spinach: (5/5) if you like garlic, this side is for you! I love garlic and I love spinach so this was made for me. Portion was on the smaller side but the taste made up for it. Mashed potatoes: (4/5) nice and creamy. No gravy but still very tasty. Penne Primavera: (5/5) this was a nice surprise because I really didn't think this dish would taste as good as it did but it was very flavorful. They seasoned it well and the pasta was cooked al dente! Fries: (3/5) typical thick cut fries and portion was tiny so I would probably skip this next time. If they can dress it up with some truffle or Parmesan cheese with rosemary or something and make them crispier then I might reconsider. However, the steak was so good that I'm definitely coming back here soon.

We happened to be nearby for a Doctor's appointment and passed here on the way there. When we arrived to the Doctor's office we called for a reservation and were offered 545pm for two(a rare & spontaneous date night). We left the Doctor's office and arrived to P.L. around 520pm. Friendly valet took our car and we entered. We were checked-in and advised to wait in the lounge area where the bar is. Not 5 minutes later we were seated. We received fresh bread(albeit cold not warm) and butter. We were promptly greeted by server Frank, who is very knowledgeable and assisted us with our selections. We decided on the wedge salad, one rib steak, and the crab cake(1) appetizer option, with mushrooms as a side. As our food arrived other tables started to join us in the side room with beautiful stained glass windows. The salad was very fresh and delicious. The crab cake was amazing, just pure crab, not lots of breading as filler. AMAZING!!!! A MUST-TRY!!!! We ordered the steak medium and it arrived perfectly pink in the center and hot off a hot plate with sizzling butter. CHEFS KISS!!! The mushrooms were whole and flavorful. Frank visited our table after each course to see if everything was fine and if we needed anything. Only experienced, tenured servers do this and even as he gained more tables to service he remained close by and available. I love that!!!! My husband wanted coffee so we ordered the apple strudel at Frank's recommendation and I'm so glad we did. It tasted like an old school recipe, maybe from the 1800's (one can hope&dream). It was accompanied by their famous SCHLAG which was divine!!!! If you're on a diet don't let anyone order it at your table because trust me, it'll entrance you, and you'll fold like a stack of cards. It's that amazing!!! Overall I'd give 6 stars if I could. Great place for celebrations like graduations or birthdays but also are welcomed just for a nice date night to enjoy their food and time with your spouse.
