It's been years that I've been here and they did a lot of improvements. Our food was on point, shrimps and mofongo was sooooo good! Did I say good it was great. Service was great, it was just a little too noisy but munching cured that.

I haven't been to Willie's in a few years since before the pandemic when it used to be a part of my normal commute home. It was wonderful returning yesterday. Had a lovely dinner very welcoming atmosphere that has not changed. The place is clean really friendly. nice ambience good music you can dance if you want to we decided to eat at the bar, which was terrific. That's some new friends and just really had a good time. The food was delicious and Marte Delivered excellent service.

This place is an old school Puerto Rican restaurant/club in the Westchester Bronx area. As soon as I entered live band playing old time Latin music bought back memories of the songs my mom and dad would listen to. The crowd was amazing like a family environment everyone knew everyone hugs kisses familia vibes. Smiles from everyone made me feel at home -conversation going on all around-dancing all around. I ordered an appetizer (mind you I had already eaten in New Jersey ) plátano relleno with beef and one of my old time favorite alcapurias with ground beef inside. I even danced a little felt sooo good . Will be go back soon for dinner and more dancing for sure

I went back to my old stomping grounds yesterday to enjoy some salsa and good Spanish food. It's been quite a while since I've been back, but I used to party in this neighborhood including Willie's and a few other spots back in the day. Upon entering the place I was greeted so warmly it felt like I'd never left. The people were so friendly and happy to see me that I felt right at home. The crowd is a mix of young and old but the old timers enjoy themselves as much as the younger ones. They love to dance. I enjoyed some good drinks and some apps and celebrated a good friend's birthday. This place makes some great food, the steak in the platanos rellenos was so tender and flavorful I couldn't stop eating them. Parking in the Bronx is tough but I think the police know this place so well they don't bother the cars doubled parked in front of the restaurant. We found a spot right at the door and got in and out without a hitch. A great night in the Bronx.

We've been coming here for years, I actually met my husband there. The food is great, steak was very tender and the chops as well. Staff is always very friendly and welcoming, service is always good. The ambiance was great, they had a DJ which played old school salsa. Since it was Valentine's day we enjoyed ourselves. We will always returned to Willie's.

Good afternoon:I'm very disappointed Willie's I want there for dinner Saturday to eat there sat us down and the first thing there said u only have two hours to eat here but then we have to wait own food to came so what ever another person came and tell us the same thing while we eating the waitress said you have to paid $40 dollars if u want to stay there long I'm looking at her and what's going on to the waitress was so rude with the same thing we did not even finish own food because the waitress was so rude that the sandwich steak we got was I do understand is was a lot of people but there need to have more respect for the customers the people that work there should be in the same page and to stop being disrespectful that day the ladies waitresses it was not only me others people to .

I recently saw WSH on instagram and recognized this place as somewhere I have been years ago. I went there with my family on a Saturday at about 5-6pm. I was disappointed, the place was practically empty and very quiet. No ambiance, opposite of how it was portrayed on instagram. They didn't even have any music playing. DJ was setting up by the time we were finished eating and ready to go. Saturday is a day that things should be popping at anytime. Despite the disappointment the food was actually good and tasty. The portions were plenty. May return just for the food. The experience was not what I expected, nothing exciting.

I was expecting better, definitely. The old glory days of Willie's steak house seemed to be truly over..... I used to dine there with friends and family many years ago... To many options in the menu I think, my guests and I were expecting a known steak house, it was a surprise when the waiter had no idea what "skirt steak" meant..... Perhaps they are going through some kind of ownership change.... I would give another try because of the nostalgic feeling.... The place has history, I hope they get it together.

If you really think about it the Dominican food has taken over the Bx. I searched, and found this place. The moment you step in you are greeted with the warmest blessings. The 2 beautiful people that worked there made our time there so memorable. The food was out of this world let me tell you. Also, I will say it is AFFORDABLE. portion size was huge and the place was so CLEAN. Food: Pernil: 10/10 flavorful and tender Yellow (arroz con gandules) and Black rice with the beans: 10/10 both were good and couldn't even decide which one was better Pulpo 9/10 : fresh and tangy, cut into small pieces so you can top it on your rice Alcapurrias: 8/10 great and made differently then what I'm used to but it was sooo good I'd come again for this alone Juices: Ask them to try the juices and they will let you. We tried it all. Came home with passion fruit (parcha) and guyaba (guanabana) Delicious 10/10 It was so fresh and they don't add too much ice so you get all the juice taste. All in all I'm coming here from now on. A true BX staple for the community and a true essence of the Bori pride resides here. If you miss PR, come here.

They also have a lot of variety so I plan on trying something new next time. The lady working there said that sometimes they make guanimes (some people call them guanimos) which I have never been able to find outside of PR. I hope I get to try them at this place. I wanted to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday on Saturday, May 16th, and after searching a few places, I settled on Sobro Garden especially after finding out it was one of Jimmy's spots. We celebrated with 30 of our closest family and friends, and it truly became a night he said he'll never forget. Where do I start? Let me begin by saying Sobro Garden, you guys did NOT disappoint!! First and foremost, thank you Jimmy, because when I tell you this man went above and beyond to make everyone feel like family at his establishment, I truly mean it. Jimmy personally checked in with everyone going table to table making sure everyone was enjoying themselves, asking if everything was good from the drinks, atmosphere, music and food was to satisfaction because he genuinely wanted everyone to enjoy and especially told my husband it's a blessing to hit a milestone, celebrating with family and friendsand hope his place made it a memorable one. Jimmy is truly a perfectionist at heart. A host beyond host!! Even taking pictures with everyone. He took several pictures with my husband and even accidentally walked away with his iPhone for a moment & my husband allow his too he didn't realize it was his phone until I told him. Our maître d', Suhaily, was such a beautiful soul inside and out. She made the entire booking process for my husband's event feel effortless. She guided me step by step, helped choice a menu plan, stayed in communication the whole time and was so patient, kind and welcoming the moment I arrived. Her smile and warm hearted present made the experience even better. She greeted me as if we knew each other for years and our waitress and waiter? Absolutely AMAZING. My husband, our guests and I were attended to with such PRISTINE EXCELLENCE all night long. Now let's talk about the FOOD... because BABY!!! Everything was DELICIOUS. I can't even single out one item because every dish hit the spot. Everyone at our tables ordered something different, so we all got to taste a little bit of everything from the pernil, steak & onions, grilled salmon, chicken, arroz con gandules, fried fish, steak skewers and BABY... those famous Crack Wings Rub had everybody wanting to eat their fingers To top it all off, the highlight of the night was seeing Melle Mel celebrating his birthday from the day before and actor Darrin Henson, so handsome in person was also in the building. Both were so down-to-earth and when Melle Mel grabbed the mic, he absolutely brought the house down!! Thank you again to EVERYONE at Sobro Garden for making my husband's 50th birthday celebration such an UNFORGETTABLE Experience. We will DEFINITELY be Back!

The vibes were amazing from start to finish: great music (major shoutout to the DJ), perfect lighting, and a lively, fun atmosphere that made the night feel special. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge -- seriously, two or three people could've eaten from my plate alone. I ordered the pernil with rice and beans, plus a variety appetizer platter. The pork was juicy (though I do wish the skin was a little crispier), the beans were flavorful, and both the garlic and chimichurri sauces were top-notch. The potato salad was okay, but overall, the meal delivered big flavor and big portions. Since it was my birthday, the team surprised me with a birthday flan and tres leches dessert plate that the restaurant provided. It was the perfect ending -- sweet, creamy, and delicious. The birthday celebration itself was incredible; you truly feel like a superstar. Between the LED signs, the DJ shoutouts, and your name flashing across the booth screen, the energy was unmatched. The drinks were just okay, nothing to write home about, but they got the job done. The only other downsides were the limited parking (especially at night) and the two-hour time limit for our party of ten. Still, it was a fantastic night overall. Great food, great vibes, and a truly fun experience. I'd highly recommend Made in Puerto Rico for birthdays, team outings, or anyone looking for flavorful food and an energetic atmosphere.
