Returning years later, I'm happy to say that Ricardo's is just as special as I remembered. My friend and I recently visited, and the food was outstanding. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium), tender, flavorful, and exactly as ordered. The mashed potatoes and mushrooms were equally delicious, and every dish reflected the quality of the ingredients. The drinks were expertly prepared, and it's clear that Ricardo's continues to take pride in what they serve. What truly stood out was the atmosphere. As we enjoyed our meal, we watched families and friends gather to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, and other milestones. There's a warmth and energy to this place that makes every visit feel like an occasion. It's also a testament to the owners that Ricardo's has stood the test of time. In an industry where so many beloved restaurants come and go, they have continued to deliver a consistently excellent experience. The value was exceptional. The portions were generous, the quality was top-notch, and the bill was more than reasonable for what we received. You can tell they still use quality ingredients and premium cuts of meat. Ricardo's has managed to maintain both its standards and its charm over the years--a rare accomplishment. Well done, Ricardo's. I'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal and a great dining experience.

I have been treated very poorly at this place in the past, however the people of At The Wallace told me to go back because servers have been changed and Chad had improved the overall experience. Since I care about the folks at At the Wallace, I decided to give them a chance. The first thing was that the waiter, an apathetic hipster, changed my seat because I was seated in a table for four people, nothing outrageous or out of the ordinary, but then I see him separating the table to allow a couple to sit there. Which made me wonder why I didn't get that treatment, but whatever. I order a medium Spicetown USA burger and a Seltzer. A different waitress brings me the seltzer and basically drops it on the table spilling some of the drink on the table. She didn't apologize for the abrupt gesture, she just turned around and went back to another table. After waiting for 30 minutes for the burger, I call another waitress (this one was friendly at least) and ask the delay, turns out the original waiter didn't even put the order. She talks to him and apologized to me. The burger comes over, but well done, instead of medium. After the two bite check up, I pointed out to the waiter who LITERALLY shrugs and goes to another table. Despite not being my desired temperature the burger and the fries were very delicious, so I will give them that. However, the service here is unforgivably bad. I don't understand why, At The Wallace is right next door, the servers and bartenders are super nice and it's also cheaper. I don't think I will go back to this place again.

The creamy garlic parmesan bread appetizer was tasty, but that was the beginning and end to any excitement for my tastebuds. My main dish, the fresh squid ink linguini, lacked flavor. My friend said the same about her dish, a soup on the daily specials (which she had previously really enjoyed). The savory bread pudding was also lackluster. I really like bread pudding and was sad I didn't want to scarf it down immediately. It pained me that we barely touched it. My friend is a fan of Lido's and has had lots of positive experiences with their menu offerings. She thought something may have gone amiss the night we went. It was a disappointing first meal, but with some convincing I may be willing to give them another chance. We'll see...

The pernil and skirt steak were flavorful, but the salmon was bland and needed more seasoning. For large parties, the prix fixe menu is $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity was rounded off to $85 not including alcoholic beverages. Water is complimentary. A few tips: bring cash, as they only allow up to three credit cards for payment. If ordering drinks, consider buying them directly at the bar and tracking them yourself. We experienced confusion with drink charges when settling the bill. Louis, who I believe was the MOD, was very short and not particularly helpful. He seemed more focused on assuming some guests had left without paying, which was not the case. After assessing everything was sorted out correctly, and we were able to continue celebrating until closing time. This was the first issue my family has had here. We've celebrated at Sofrito before and usually have a great experience, which is why I'm giving 3 stars. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and the DJ was great. I just hope billing for large parties is handled more smoothly in the future.

The calamari and the beef empanadas were decent for the appetizers. I didn't love the pork chunks, they seemed over cooked. For my meal, I ordered the steak and eggs. There's a $7 upcharge for skirt steak, which I picked. I asked for my steak medium, and it was much closer to medium well and well done. The steak itself was juicy and flavorful, and the chimuchurri really helped. The potatoes were soft and not seasoned well, could've used some more time on the stove. I asked for my eggs to be fried and it came out weirdly made. Only took a bite and then left it. We did have bottomless drinks but the service on that was slow and not consistent. I had 2 mimosas in the entire 90 minutes, and I had to flag down a staff member to even get my 2nd one. It is a loud restaurant with music playing, but I guess that sets the mood and ambiance. They are strict with the table limits and will ask you to leave after paying.
