This is my second time at Pete's Cafe here in the Bronx, and I love it. It is on Fordham Road and right across the street from Fordham University, where my daughter attends. Myself an alum but from the Lincoln Center Campus in Manhattan. The decor of Pete's decor is modern and clean. Because of the large window panes that run along one side, there is always ample sunlight. On the two occasions I've been here the food has been tasty and well cooked. Pete's has the feel of an old dinner, the type I used to frequent back in the day when I was a high school student, a long, long time ago, lol and it brings back memories even though its new and modern. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. I've only been here twice, once for lunch, and today for breakfast and I enjoyed it both times. This morning I had a "Pete's Special" it consisted of two eggs (over medium) two pancakes, two strips of beacon, two sausage links, a cup of coffee which was brought to me very quickly, even before I knew what I wanted to order, and a medium sized cup of OJ. That's a big meal I know but I don't usually eat like this, it was a real treat. When in the northern part of the Bronx, be sure to check out Pete's Cafe.

One my all timer cafe to go. I was very happy they reopen after the fire. They have great selection, serves alcohol in the morning; lol and even help you celebrate birthdays. I believe this is a family own cafe because i see small children helping out the adults.

Solid diner. I've tried a few items; the best has been the classic eggs, bacon, and homefries combo. Prices are reasonable, but service is inconsistent.

Nothing special just your typical diner. I usually get the mozzarella sticks and chicken souvlaki wrap.

As much as I love a good Italian meal from Arthur Ave, sometimes I just need some afternoon pancakes.

Being…read morefrom California, I definitely missed the Mexican food scene, so I wanted to try Taqueria Tlaxcalli to taste a bite of home. When we entered, we were greeted with kind smiles from the ladies and they welcomed us to sit at any free table. Inside has lots of decor with ample seating. We sat and a server grabbed us menus. We got a carnitas burrito, grilled cactus side, horchata, and strawberry limeade (per her recommendation). Everything came so fast, and they even split the burrito for us! Oh my god, everything was so good. This has to be one of the BEST burritos I have ever had, comparable to the ones in San Diego. I love carnitas, and they do it so well here. It was tender, flavorful, just the perfect amount of sauce and seasoning! And the horchata was the best I have ever had too! The strawberry limeade was refreshing, and the grilled cactus was good! It was my first time trying it and it reminded me of aloe vera/okra texture. I had such a great time, such a great experience, I will definitely be back!

They have options for dining in or taking out and were quite efficient We went with a burrito and a few tacos - the burrito is massive, I would say it's meant for two people at once and filled with rice, meat, vegetables, thick flour tortilla and covered with different sauces - it is very heavy! The tacos are Mexican-style with meat and vegetarian options and were simply delicious. The meats we got - carnitas, steak, chicken were all cooked great with tender juiciness. They gave ample lime and sauces to pair as needed. Prices felt reasonable. Overall taqueria tlaxcalli had exceptional Mexican food for NYC with very good hospitality and dining options and I highly recommend! The tacos were a tier above my favorite NYC tacos - Santos, Los tacos no 1 and carnitas Ramirez.

I usually go to the Westchester Square spot as it's the location closest to my parents, but I've also been to their restaurant in Kingsbridge and (most recently) this one on Westchester Ave. The standard items one would expect to find at a Mexican restaurant are on EP's menu. What makes them stand out for me though, is the vast selection they have within each menu section and the quality of they food they serve. My usual go-tos are their burritos and tacos - they offer a variety of proteins to complement and they're always delicious. Outside of that, their soups are great as well as their nachos. I've only eaten in-house a few times; my standard is takeout and it's always ready by the promise time. Overall, Estrellita is a resounding yes for me; they are one of the best examples of quality and consistency, and I would always recommend them for good Mexican food in the Bronx.
