Great bagel shop. The iced coffee is much better than most places. Very nice service. Bagels are very good. Will come here often!

The baker's dozen (13 bagels) is worth it because you can choose between regular and specialty bagels and it still comes out to $24. And if you get the dozen on a Wednesday, you can actually get 16 bagels! The bagels are big, and airy. The combinations and variety of options go on and on. Excited to be try a new one every time. They are pretty precise with the weight of spread you order, as well. We ordered the egg salad, tuna salad, and scallion cream cheese spread. The egg salad and tuna salad were mild in flavor, not heavy, tasted healthy. I've only come on weekends, so there is always a line out the door, but there are many staff members, so the line moves. If you are ordering a lot of bagels, be prepared for back-up options because although they are constantly making the bagels on the premise, popular options do run out and you may have to wait 15min for a new batch.

My everything bagel had a near-perfect balance between a crisp exterior and a satisfyingly chewy interior. That reputation means Utopia is likely to be busy no matter the day or time. I went around 11 am on a Wednesday, and there were about 10-15 people ahead of me. Between ordering and actually getting my bagel (and it was just a toasted bagel with cream cheese, not an egg sandwich or anything), it took about 15 minutes. That being said, are the bagels at Utopia worth making a special trip for? Not really, for me personally. While Utopia may technically be the best, there are enough bagel shops around Queens that come close enough that I don't see myself going out of my way to visit very often. Utopia has recently opened a few locations in Manhattan and Long Island City, so it's easier than ever to give them a try without coming out to Whitestone.

Korean owned and operated so it has the typical pastries you'll find at any Korean style bakery. They claim to hand roll their bagels so I knew I had to get one to try. I saw they offer egg everything bagel which is hard to find so I ordered it untoasted (ode to a past Yelp event) with cream cheese. Not sure if they couldn't hear me well (they had loud customers) - they gave me a regular everything bagel. I didn't realize until I left already but it's ok, I didn't mind. It's a decent bagel but nothing ground breaking. The cream cheese was the standout imo. It was tangy and quite rich. I really liked it! I hope my taste buds aren't playing on me and it's just Philadelphia cream cheese

Or the hand rolled bagels which included egg everything, plain everything - on par with the chains.

Friends brought me to Spin Bagel, and for that I am gastronomically thankful, for as good as New York bagels in general taste to me, the bagels at Spin Bagel have a "spin" on them that cannot be beat: clean, high-quality ingredients that enhance the taste as well as nourish the body, and a lightness to them that allows you to eat the whole bagel without feeling that heavy lump in the stomach one can get from the standard, doughier bagel. When I asked the owners what their secret is, I was told that it's the fermentation process that's unique. They also offer an array of meats and others bagel toppings that don't contain any nitrates/nitrites, artificial flavors, or preservatives. No seed oils are used. The atmosphere is super nice too - décor is charming, but it's the service that stands out. Our server was Angelina, who is charming and friendly, and moves like the wind. She served our food quickly, but no one rushed us out. I enjoyed all of it - the bagel and toppings, the service, the atmosphere. Going back again, for sure, next time I get to Bayside!

There's so much variety and the specialty bagels are *chef's kiss*, AMAZING! The customer service is PHENOMENAL! Yvonne (Not sure if I spelled it correctly) is so pleasant and calls me by name when I walk through the door. The ambiance is beautiful with all the greek decorations and themes. I would say what my favorite bagel is on here but they already sell out of it before the afternoon (it's that good, guys) I Love Spin, -Shen.
