Huge blueberry muffin
Emily C.

I order from this place all the time. Love the bagels, duh thats what they are known for haha. Fresh and generous with the filling you choose. Even with coffee, they offer the huge cups and its the best for a long day at work. Their blueberry muffins are huge but not enough blueberries, maybe it was an unlucky one. They have sandwiches too and they have always been fresh and tastey. Great spot for sandwiches as they are pretty big and decent priced. The place always has a line during high times, so you can order online and pick up. Delivery can take pretty long as they use their own drivers and not through the food ordering apps. The place can be overwhelming when it get busy and you have people all over the place and loud. Gotta know what you want and order it, but the staff there are friendly. A must try for everyone in the neighborhood and better than the other places in the area. One of my go to spots for breakfast for sure.

Ended up being the best bagel for me on my last trip to NY. Didn't look like anything special, but the absolutely fantastic chew on the bagels was so so satisfyingly good... Loved the Lox Package, with nice salty flavors. But just eating the simpler Everything bagel with the cucumber dill cream cheese was such a pleasure with the firm chews. Cream cheese are so smooth and the cucumber dill ended up being the best companion with the bagel. Wow, def will be hitting this place up again next time in NY, it was simply the best made bagel I've ever had.

So I've been back a few times since and found out what to order! Go and order a bagel with cream cheese.. keep it simple.. that is what they do well! I ordered an Everything bagel and plain cream Cheese. It' was toasted perfect and bagel tasted great!

If you're in the Kew Gardens area of queens, stop by bakers dozen and grab some freshly made bagels in house! A long time visitor to this shop whenever I am in the area and it's a neighborhood gem. Go early to avoid long lines but well worth the wait. I tries there the strawberry cream cheese spread recently and it was amazing. Go check it out and thank me later

I'm typically a fan of Baker's dozen, they have the best bagels in the area my opinion, but this in my sandwich is unacceptable. Second time, I get rotten avocado along with the (not to be consumed) end of the skin. It's not hard to see that it is clearly not green anymore, but whoever made this, didn't care.

Check this place out. The bagels, cream cheese flavors, coffee, and muffins are always fresh. I came in this morning at around 8:15am. There were two people in front of me. I didn't wait long for the person to take my order. I had an iced French vanilla iced coffee and a still warm pistachio muffin. The pistachio muffin is over sized and my favorite. The price is right and there is street parking. If you haven't tried them yet, you're missing out.

O MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST BREAKFAST BAGEL IVE EVER HAD. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel. The bagel was perfect baked,it was very soft and moist. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the bacon was amazing. It wasn't overly greasy. I can't stop thinking about this breakfast sandwich. I can't wait to go back. The staff was friendly and the line moved pretty quickly. You wait in line and take your order with one of the staff at the counter. And then when your order is complete you pay at the register

In my opinion, the best bagels in the city. They are much more affordable than Manhattan bagels, are consistently delicious and the staff is friendly. This is THE bagel place to go to in Kew Gardens and even if you're in Forest Hills. There's a reason the line goes down the street on weekends and early in the AM. Great sandwiches for lunch as well. The menu is extensive, not only to "create your own bagels" but also in spread and salad options. The tuna and chicken salad are also delicious. Bagels with cream cheese and lox here never disappoint. My favorite bagel shop in New York! Fresh and fluffy bagels. Generous filling. I recommend getting the bagels toasted if you plan to eat them right away.

Ask the Community - Baker's Dozen Bagels

I'm flying in to JFK airport on 10/25 from CA and my brother in law asked me to buy a dozen bagels. How can I get them to him? How long do they last?

You can probably get 2-3 days out of them. I bring them back to where I live all of the time. I wouldn't recommend it, but you can freeze them.

The baker's dozen (13 bagels) is worth it because you can choose between regular and specialty bagels and it still comes out to $24. And if you get the dozen on a Wednesday, you can actually get 16 bagels! The bagels are big, and airy. The combinations and variety of options go on and on. Excited to be try a new one every time. They are pretty precise with the weight of spread you order, as well. We ordered the egg salad, tuna salad, and scallion cream cheese spread. The egg salad and tuna salad were mild in flavor, not heavy, tasted healthy. I've only come on weekends, so there is always a line out the door, but there are many staff members, so the line moves. If you are ordering a lot of bagels, be prepared for back-up options because although they are constantly making the bagels on the premise, popular options do run out and you may have to wait 15min for a new batch.

Portion was huge but it didn't fall apart like I thought it would. The bagel itself wasn't mind blowing but the sheer amount of flavor provided by the filling more than made up for it.

There are certain gimmicks that I don't subscribe to, which is any kind of fusion in bagel form…read more (#1) Between The Bagel proved me wrong, in a way that I haven't fully yet recovered and as a result has become a go-to destination for me whenever I'm back in Astoria. They've done such an outstanding job across the board (customer service, price, food, etc.) that I am constantly thinking about going back. Located on the constantly busy (#2) 30th Ave, one wouldn't notice this place as being any different from any other bagel shop. There's hardly any seating but a steady stream of customers all throughout the day. The NSFW signage (#3) keeps the place fresh and interesting, if not extremely memorable. The first thing that is offered (and often complimentary) is their fried rice balls, dubbed "Ben's Balls" that are mixed with seasoned rice, kimchi, topped with a gochujang mayo that would wake up any sleepyhead. Each bite had a nice crunch, but the lingering effect of the kimchi makes it addicting. It is the ultimate complementary snack, a desired, potluck item, and frankly genius. This is not something I would ever consider getting out a bagel shop, but having had them I would gladly buy them by the dozens. Most folks are here for the Seoul Meets Bagel (SMB) and rightfully so: it's layered with chopped bulgogi meat, cheese, egg, kimchi, topped with gochujang mayo and is packed with flavor. While the dank ass pork sandwich is a crude name, but it's not hard to see why it's one of their best sellers. Their regular bagels are also excellent. Folks who are expecting a large variety of cream cheese may find it disappointing that there's only a handful in the display, but they do have lox, bacon scallion, tofu cream cheese, and some flavored cream cheese. For what it's worth, my toasted everything bagel with lox was fabulous. It was pillowy soft, nicely toasted, and extremely filling. Offering Korean savory bagels wouldn't be complete without actual Korean fare, which is also a part of their larger than expected menu. It includes items such as Korean fried chicken, kimbap, pajeon (various), bibimbap, kalbi, ramyum, and mandoo. This is in addition to the burgers, breakfast platters and sandwiches, and a number of pastries. The staff is mostly Spanish and English speaking, in addition to the owner Ben who brings Korean to the table. Prices are very reasonable for Astoria and I'm hoping they continue to stay that way. This spot is the ultimate neighborhood spot and I'm insanely jealous of all the residents in the area that get to enjoy this on the regular. ___________ (#1) Why mess with something that doesn't need changing? Oh, because palate + innovation. (#2) And incredibly gentrified. (#3) One sign reads: "My happy place is when I tell people to .... FU, KMA, MF, STFU, SOB, SMD." Oh how New York.

Beware of Dishonest Business Practices…read more This place has a huge sign advertising FREE coffee with any egg order, so I came in this morning expecting exactly that. I ordered an egg and cheese bagel with salt, pepper, and ketchup, along with a coffee--since, according to their own sign, it was supposed to be free. The man at the register (who I assume was the owner) charged me extra for the coffee anyway. When I politely pointed out that the coffee should be free, he acted clueless and said, "Oh, I didn't know you wanted the special." Seriously? Why would anyone knowingly choose to pay extra for something clearly advertised as free? He then said, "Okay, I'll give it to you," but still charged me the full amount. When I asked again if the discount had actually been applied, he flat-out claimed that it had. I showed him right there that it hadn't, and instead of fixing it, he shrugged it off and said there was nothing he could do--basically trying to keep the extra money. At that point, I walked out. It's not about the price of a coffee--it's about honesty. If you advertise something, honor it. This felt deceptive, shady, and completely unprofessional. Disgusting business practices. I won't be back. Stay away

I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel, and my partner ordered a breakfast burrito. While the wait was short, I was shocked that our total came out to be $27.
