I went with a group of 11 (mostly senior) ladies in early June on a Wednesday night.. Many of us have special dietary needs or preferences. Our waitress Celia was most gracious about explaining options, and I don't think any one of us was told NO! For myself, I ordered unbreaded chicken parmesan, and although it took a little longer to be served, it was worth the wait. Our only complaint was that we were seated in such a manner that group conversation was difficult, and the banquette style seats were awkward to get in and out of. Besides our lovely waitress, the young men who helped serve and who brought water, etc. were very attentive and polite--sometimes we older gals don't seem appreciated, but the staff here was great. We ordered a wide variety of dishes, and I believe each one of us was fully satisfied. Just FYI, the ladies' room was lovely and very clean. Update July 10: returned with my husband because I couldn't wait any longer for more of that chicken parm! We were not disappointed--food was delicious and service was excellent (thanks, Gina). I had the pleasure to take my family for Easter dinner at this restaurant, it was my recommendation. It was very busy however my table of 8 was sat very promptly. their regular menu was offered which is plentiful in addition to wonderful specials. we kept with the Easter tradition and ordered the stuffed artichokes which were to die for! The rack of lamb was mouth watering. The kids had a little pizza that they raved over! We finished the dinner with coffee and homemade dessert one of which was an Easter grain pie that I haven't had in years, brought me right back to my Italian roots. The last time I had such a memorable Easter dinner was when my mother was alive. Thank you Villa Positano for such a delicious dinner with outstanding service. We will be back! Last night we had the best time at dinner! Our server Olla was adorable and full of personality. She was attentive and knowledgeable. She had wonderful food recommendations which for appetizer we got the shrimp oreganato (which were so good, I can literally smell the garlic and lemon right now) and the Caprese salad, I mean who doesn't like some fresh mozzarella? I got a classic Italian dish , chicken parm! The portion was huge so I got to eat it again for lunch today...woohoo (now I'm ready for a nap). 2 pieces of breaded chicken smothered in cheese, with penne for a side that could have been a meal all on its own. I truly give this place 5 stars. They checked everything off, customer service check, food check, drinks check, good time check!!! Highly Recommend!!! read more

I really look forward to eating at Villa Positano again. The food is consistently delicious and prepared the same as if you were in Italy!! They offer all of the classics, plus seasonal specialty dishes you won't find anywhere else.... The restaurant has one side for pizza which is also made fresh and authentically fantastic. Family friendly atmosphere in the dining room with outstandingly friendly staff!! This restaurant also features Comedy nights and live entertainment on occasion. It's always a unique & FUN performance!! I have been there several times for the holidays with my family and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. Orange County residents no longer have to travel to New York or New Jersey to experience fine Italian Cuisine. Though unassuming from its exterior Villa Positano, named after the owners hometown, offers a delightful array of Italian dishes that conjure old world flavors. On a number of occasions I've dined here and have always found the wait staff to be friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and accommodating. I specifically enjoy the chicken costiera which is a delicate blending of breaded chicken breasts sautéed with mushrooms and garlic in a lemon and wine sauce. Villa Positano also offers entertainment such as Open Mic night and Comedy night. I whole heartily recommend a visit even if just to sample the gourmet pizza. read more

Came on a Saturday night and it was packed! This is a pizzeria up front and a full service restaurant in the back. When I walked in, I was greeted with a long line. Since it was my first time there, I got on line and waited the 15 minutes. They bring you a bread basket to start and you still get a salad with the meal. The garlic knots are AMAZING! My shrimp scampi was delicious and my boyfriend raved about his dish as well. I would have liked to try the fall sangria but they were out of it, maybe next time. I look forward to coming back, seems like one of the better restaurants in the area and we are new to Monroe. read more

Always a great experience at VP! It's definately our favorite go-to Italian restaurant in the area! The fried goat cheese appetizer and osso buco with sesame sauce appetizer are out of this world; so flavorful! For entree, I highly recommend the shrimp portofino and the veal piccata. Prices are very reasonable for great quality! The atmosphere is warm and super kid friendly too! Our daughter loves their penne with vodka sauce and desserts of course! Went there tonight on a recommendation from a friend...huge disappointment. None of the employees seem to know what they were doing, some training is a necessity. Fresca pizza was bland, cheese tasted like the flavorless shredded variety that comes in 50 lb bags from Sysco, crust nothing special. Pear salad had way too much of a very sour dressing on it. Poor food, poor service. It surprises me that a place serving barely edible food seems to be thriving. I guess people dont mind throwing their hard earned money away on terrible food. Writing this near midnight on New Year's Eve. My wife and I are having a wonderful time. Great food, great music and dancing, and great service. We have been coming to Villa Positano for several years and this is our go to place for a great meal and wonderful service. The special night entertainment on new year's was first class. Neil, the owner is a hospital host, and makes everyone fell at home. We feel fortunate to have Villa Positano in our town. Just the best! read more

What a great meal I had with my family this past weekend at Villa Positano. Our host Neil was so personable and made my elderly parents feel so special on my father's birthday! I had a veal chop entree that was out of this world and the grilled calamari appetizer was done to perfection; tender and fresh! I work at Exclusive Motor Sports in Central Valley and we order from here at least once a week. The food is fantastic and is always delivered quickly, which we love!! We sometimes order from down the street that doesn't get here as fast as when we order from Villa Positano. I've also stopped by for dinner with friends and gotten take out, it is always fantastic. I always new Villa Positano had the best pizza however now that I've eaten in their restaurant, they also qualify for the best restaurant in Monroe! My steak was so juicy and delicious paired with the broccoli rabe and my kids just love the individual pizza with French fries! I was at this restaurant 6 months ago. It was nothing exceptional, it was ok but missing something. I went back with my parents last night, it was unbelievable and great. My waitress Gina was wonderful. The Chicken Parmigiana was outrageous, my mom had the salmon special, said it was also outrageous. We will definitely be back! read more

My wife and I visit Villa Positano often and I can honesty say we have never had a bad meal , just had the 18oz Veal chop tonight it was amazing cooked perfect !!!
