We stopped here for lunch last summer while we were in Ravello. The view from the terrace overlooks the Amalfi coast and is truly stunning. If you can, make your reservation in advance so that you can get a table with a view. The service was friendly and the food was quite good with generous portions. This is a great place to have lunch if you have spending the day in Ravello!

Gorgeous terrace with amazing views. Review is only for breakfast and lunch (stayed on property). Breakfast buffet was included, and was a nice mix of pastries, cheese and meats, and you could order scrambled eggs for no extra cost, but if you wanted an omelette there was an up charge. For lunch we had Caesar salad, and club sandwich. Service was very attentive.

Nothing better than getting lost in Italy then finding a jewel on your way to the The Garden Of Villa Cimbrone. The views were spectacular, a full bar menu and serve to table concept made this place a must visit. We came here for lunch without reservations but was able to get seated fairly quickly. We ordered champagne with the flower blossom appetiser, the beef carpaccio and the homemade Tagialette in clams and muscle. My ratings

A lovely place to dine with family

Found ourselves here without a reservation (those with reservations get tables with a view) but it was a spectacular view & ambiance nevertheless. We'd had an especially arduous hiking day in 90+ degree heat wave and the food and drink were especially satisfying. Loved the scialatielli with clams and mussels. Excellent cocktails and service. Note: it takes at least 20 minutes to prepare fresh pasta so order an appetizer.

If I was to utter only three words after my visit to Ravello, they would be 'visit Villa Maria'. My boyfriend and I mainly go on holiday to find breathtaking sites, to create memories and to eat eat eat, and this satisfied all three needs to the highest degree. The four star hotel and accompanying restaurant are run by four generations of Italian family, and so the restaurant atmosphere is at once relaxed and familiar and also elegant enough to feel like a treat(!) The view, wow, the view is worth visiting alone - sumptuous rolling Italian hills and sea views in the background and layer upon layer of organic gardens that sustain the restaurant just below you. You can see the lemons that go into your granita and the peppers that are grilled for your salad growing only metres away, all accompanied by twinkly calming classical music. The food is delicious, and the best we had this holiday - it's fresh, interesting and offers surprisingly sizeable portions for a white-linen-table-cloth-style restaurant. Your best bet is to go for lunch, their salads and pizzas are delicious and not at all unaffordable, especially considering the size and quality you get (under €13 per main course). We had the anchovy, bread, mozarella salad and the Smoked cheese and grilled vegetables salad, both of which were much more than their descriptions explain and highly recommended. Others nearby had the couscous salad and although they seemed to enjoy it, we thought ours looked to be the most scrumptious. Dessert, as is often the Italian way, was a smaller, more delicate affair but still lovely with fresh fruit and inventive flavours (star anise and pink peppercorn sauce!). The lemon granita was especially moreish and refreshing. Overall, all very tasty, and eaten within a lovely atmosphere looking out into the breathtaking hills. The dishes other diners had looked exciting and delicious as well, and all good value for lunchtime in this area of the Amalfi Coast. As expected, dinner time looks to be slightly more expensive, but I would reckon it would be a visit worth making if you're only in Ravello for the evening. As I say, for views, memories and delicious food, you must visit Villa Maria(!).

Marcello took extremely good care of us. Definitely second to none service. TheGurnard was cooked on point and had soo much flavor. The Rissoto was well prepared and had a very unique bold flavor. Cant quite pondered point it but the green pesto sauce really set it apart.

Beautiful view. However the food was underwhelming. We ordered five dishes and the best one was the Buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes, which is hard to go wrong. Everything else was either too bland or over cooked. You are definitely paying a premium for the view.

Windy night in Ravello. The resultant was glassed in so we wouldn't be as cold. Best view at night from the restaurant which is located on the side of the Ravello mountain. We ordered two wonderful bottles of wine. Bread with oil was offered as we ordered our main courses. Food was presented beautifully. Service was excellent!

Gnocchi and clams that were very rich with flavor. Delicious.

Nice view, good food and great service. Try the gnocchi with clams, it were delicious. The meat dishes are on a more basic standard internationally, so I would keep to the pasta and fish.

Plenty of tables along the edge overlooking beautiful views

We did manage to throttle back and not eat all of it lol, as we wanted to still enjoy our starter and pizza. The oils provided were the perfect compliment for the bread, the salad (and the crust of the pizza). Salad was fresh and light. Pizza rolled out next and we still believe this to be the best pizza we ever had. Not heavy, but filling. The flavors were so rich and bright. Of course I had to have a local beer which paired well. The seating was outside, which was covered in an ivy like feel. It was lemon trees providing adequate sun coverage and of course looked beautiful. We would highly recommend checking out Donna Stella if you're in Amalfi.

There was a wait but they seemed to remember faces and I did get seated after about 30 minutes, though they did seem pretty busy for a Sunday night. I ordered the lemon ravioli since I had been eating a lot of pizza and read that people enjoyed it. In my opinion, the lemon ravioli didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked, it seemed a little bland and didn't really taste like there was much lemon flavor and the quantity was a little small. Cooked well though. I think I would come back again but order the pizza instead. They did have a longer wait if you didn't make a reservation. Their lemon tiramisu (8€) was definitely worth it. Very creamy and not too sweet and had more of that lemon flavor that I was looking for. I wish I had come in a group, so they I could have tried more things, but no worries that can be next time.

We started with an amuse-bouche (compliments of the chef), which was a parmesan cracker with ricotta. We shared two appetizers among the four of us - a tuna carpaccio in citrus fruit and poached eggs with black truffle. The poached egg came in a sauce that was totally delicious and mop-able with bread. The tuna was fantastic and very light. For the main, our table split the pasta stuffed with burrata and black truffle and the risotto with red shrimp in lemon sauce. Absolutely incredible! The risotto was soooo refreshing and light and cooked perfectly. The truffle pasta was full umami flavor and a flavor party. We ended with delicious desserts, my husband got the hazelnut coffee which he loved and I got a lemon assortment. This had a lemon cream brulee sort of preparation which I loved. The wines here were also fantastic and the service prompt and great!
