Spaghetti al Nerano

We loved this restaurant in Positano! My boyfriend proposed here overlooking the view because it is stunning, but outside of that the service was very attentive and offered great recommendations! We had a delicious bottle of wine and a yummy caprese salad followed by two amazing pasta dishes that were cooked to perfection with gorgeous presentation! They also brought us little pizza puffs complimentary to start. For the engagement, they kindly snapped pictures while it happened and offered sincere congratulations and glasses of champagne! We loved this spot!

Risotto with shrimp and lemon

Arguably the best restaurant in Positano Food: The restaurants in Positano are so cute and always come out with a small complimentary "welcome" dish to try out - we got a garlic pizza dough puff drizzled with homemade marinara sauce, which was delicious The highlight of this restaurant is the various Italian seafood dishes that seem to have a Japanese influence, which is very unique HIGHLY recc the risotto with shrimp and lemon. Oh my god this dish was so amazing that we got a second! The lemon worked beautifully with the sweet red shrimp, and there was a teriyaki glaze that added a harmonious blend of flavor. The risotto was cooked perfectly and had pieces of either crab or lobster in it Other: Friendly staff, fast service Outdoor seating on the fourth floor terrace of La Posa Posa hotel, with beautiful views of Positano and the ocean TLDR; A hidden gem with food that is high on quality, presentation, and flavor - you don't want to miss this place while on your vacation to Positano!

Our waiter was very personable and friendly. He helped us selected a very delicious wine. The spaghetti alla nerano was awesome, probably the best spaghetti dishes I've had. I wasn't sure what to expect but it blew all of the expectations I had. The views are also amazing.

The Mirage Ristorante is located on the 4th floor of the Hotel Posa Posa with a great view of Positano.

Mirage Ristorante is a restaurant located on the 4th floor of Hotel Posa Posa in Positano, Italy. They are open for lunch and dinner. Lunch did not requite a reservation but reservations are highly recommended for dinner. The view of Positano is amazing. The view alone makes it a very romantic place to have dinner. The food at Mirage is very good. I had the risotto with shrimp. It was the best risotto I had my entire two weeks in Italy. My wife ordered the gnocchi and also thought it was very good. Most restaurants in Positano are more expensive than others areas of Italy. However, compared to other restaurants in the area, this one is comparable. If you are taking the bus, conveniently, there is a bus stop located directly next to the entrance of the Posa Posa. You can look at the photos to see the view from the restaurant, the outside of the hotel (for navigation purposes), and a couple of the dishes we ordered. Bottom line - Italian food that is very fresh and delicious. Amazing views overlooking Positano. This is an easy 4-star review that doesn't kill the budget. We would eat here again when in Positano.

This place was delicious and I highly recommend coming here! The views were spectacular.

Scammer tourists who committed identity theft. If you see them be aware!

Absolutely worst dinner we have ever experienced. This restaurant was over rated, overpriced and did not care at all. First this British couple stole our reservation (apparently this is very easy to do, you can just come in and pretend to be someone else and boom! You have a free reservation! (See attached photos of this couple who should be ashamed of themselves. Then? They take the view we wanted. The waiter without any apology refuses to confront them and serves us the coldest and blandest food ever. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusted by this restaurant and do not recommend it at all!

Carbonara and ravioli

Hidden gem in Positano! We weren't sure what to expect but were blown away by the attentive and friendly staff, incredible food, and quiet romantic setting. Was by far the best meal we had in Positano, can't wait to come back someday!

Avoid. 2 HR wait despite reservation and being empty. Everyone at restaurant seemed miserable, probably for similarreasons. Next2 down the street on the other hand was amazing. Not sure how they are rated the same unless you get well seated for the view at mirage but that is unlikely. Good luck if you decide to come here anyways perhaps we went to the wrong mirage from TripAdvisor. That being said, we were stuck in this spot long enough for us and others to call it purgatory (see photo). Will say the couches were comfy though.

Salmon tartare

Making a reservation was a breeze (October, not peak) we made the reservation a little over an hour before we intended to eat and we're given a prime terrace seat overlooking the lit up coast for our dinner. It was a little brisk, my husband mentioned it to the waiter who provided me with a shawl which was very appreciated and so kind. I had tried to order the rizzoto as well as the frutti de mare with homemade spaghetti, he mentioned that he didn't believe I could eat 2 carb loaded meals (my words to describe what he said, not his) and he was completely right. I ordered the frutti de mare which had an insane amount of mussels and clams and delicious home made pasta, I was very very VERY pleased with this dish. I followed with the salmon tartare based on suggestion from our waiter and even though I was full, that dish was also well executed. I believe I would have preferred it first due to the cold temperature of the dish, however I'm fine with having it secondary as I couldn't possibly finish it after the pasta.

Seafood homemade pasta and shrimp risotto

Mirage Restaurant is located on the 6th floor of Hotel Posa Posa. We stayed at Hotel Posa Posa at the end of September. Mirage restaurant has literally THE BEST view of Positano. The food is wonderful. We had tuna tartare and grilled octopus as appetizers. They were both delicious. As main course, we had homemade seafood pasta and lemon&shrimp risotto. The seafood in each dish was so well cooked and soft that you are not gonna want to have seafood anywhere else again! For dessert we had the pistachio parfait. This was the best dessert we ever had. The staff is so friendly that they totally go out of their way to make you happy. If you ever visit Positano, make sure you eat at this restaurant and also stay at the hotel.

Risotto with Shrimp and lemon sauce. Delish! Sorry for the bad photo - taken around night.

Wow! What a great find! We came to Positano toward the end of tourist season (end of October) but we were lucky enough to still have warm weather without the crazy crowds that I'm sure swarm this place during summer. Anyways, we stayed at a hotel nearby (Hotel Vittoria) and were trying to find a new place to eat, as we had tried a couple nearby and many others were closed around us. The first time we came here, it was after a not so great dinner at a nearby restaurant. We needed some wine and whiskey and place to unwind, and we found Mirage restaurant. We took the elevator of Hotel Posa Posa to the fourth floor to get to Mirage Restaurant. The views were spectacular. We got seated immediately along the balcony overlooking the hillside and sea. The pricing was very normal for Positano (the same as we paid for a street view). We were so happy with our drinks that night, so we made a reservation for the following night for dinner. The place was never packed (because it was the end of the tourist season), so we had the place mostly to ourselves despite two other tables on the massive rooftop patio. The servers are very friendly. We ordered a bottle of wine and the shrimp and vegetable tempura to start. Delicious! The best seasoned tempura I've ever had. They also treated us to pizzettes (small fried dough with red sauce, cheese, and basil) - tasted exactly like a fluffy pizza. Yum!! Then we ordered the gnocchi with tomato sauce and cheese on top. It was so tasty. My husband inhaled it. I ordered the risotto with shrimp and lemon. There was a ton of shrimp and just the right amount of lemon. Both dishes were absolutely, positively delicious. I'm happy our server recommended we hold off on ordering the steak to share (he suggested that the plates were large and filling and we could always order more after our pasta course). And boy oh boy, we're glad he did hold us back because we were stuffed. We finished with a delicious panna cotta with forest berry sauce. Perfect balance between sweet and tart. We loved it so much that we're going back tonight for our final meal in Positano

Many other reviewers have mentioned that this is the best meal that they've had in the entire country and unfortunately, without sounding like a false advertisement, I absolutely must agree. This was the best meal I have had in the entire country and I have traveled Italy extensively. They only have a couple of tables, the brothers, along with mama and Bridget, deliver an incredible meal, incredible experience, and the way the patrons feel after the experience cannot be matched. What the hell if we ordered Caesar salad, then meatballs, then gnocchi, then seafood with linguine, then the local catch of the day which today was amberjack, then ribeye, then dessert. I'm not alone in my prayer of this restaurant, my wife and my three children are unanimous that this was the absolute best meal that they have had in Italy. I strongly recommend this restaurant, but I would mention that you need to get there early because they do not take reservations. Please feel free to joke with Bridget about her Texan roots and her hallmark story which caused her to settle in Positano!

The Caprese salad was fresh and bursting with flavor, and the prosciutto salad was beautifully balanced with just the right mix of savory and sweet. Every ingredient tasted incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The drinks were equally impressive. The house Posides Spritz was refreshing and perfectly balanced made with a cherry liquor, and the limoncello spritz was smooth, bright, and easily one of the best we've had in Italy. We finished with an affogato that was the perfect finale, rich espresso poured over creamy gelato for a sweet, satisfying finish along with the seasonal cake. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening, making the experience feel personal and relaxed. The restaurant is a bit of a walk from the city center with a few stairs to climb, but it's absolutely worth it. The stroll back down afterward is the perfect way to walk off the meal. Between the amazing food, stunning terrace views, and kind service, Posides is a true Positano gem.

This was our first meal after arriving in Positano and we couldn't have asked for a better one. We arrived in Positano around 10 PM on a Saturday night. This restaurant was on our itinerary and was a 2 minute walk from our hotel. We walked up around 10:30 and they sat us immediately on the outdoor patio. We ordered grilled octopus to start and it might have been the freshest and tastiest grilled octopus I've ever eaten. We also ordered a spicy green sauce pasta that was top 3 best things we ate on our entire trip. I wish I knew the name of it so that I could mention it here. We also ordered a prosciutto and burrata pizza. My wife isn't a huge fan of prosciutto so she didn't enjoy it as much as I did. But I would happily eat that pizza again and again. The staff were very kind and friendly. They didn't ever seem annoyed that we came in later at night. Every day that we walked past them to go into the main center of Positano, they smiled and invited us back in or asked how we were doing. They don't have the same view that other restaurants might have, but what they lack in a view, they make up for in quality and service.
