A gorgeous Michelin eatery- one of the first in southern Italy to earn a Michelin Star and its a might fine experience! The menu here is entirely dedicated to the region of Campagna and the gorgeous flavors from the sea and citrus groves. We have chef decide on the menu and it was one beautiful surprise after the other. The service did not skip a beat. As expected in a Michelin rated restaurant. Master sommelier selected our wine pairings and they were equally as outstanding. Dinner here is $300 a person and quite frankly worth it. Caravella is the spirit of Amalfi

The service was top notch and the food was just as amazing. As always I love the appetizers best. The squid tasted so fresh and well made. I absolutely love the ravioli, it was the best ravioli I ever had in my life!

    Desert is served, yum!

We did manage to throttle back and not eat all of it lol, as we wanted to still enjoy our starter and pizza. The oils provided were the perfect compliment for the bread, the salad (and the crust of the pizza). Salad was fresh and light. Pizza rolled out next and we still believe this to be the best pizza we ever had. Not heavy, but filling. The flavors were so rich and bright. Of course I had to have a local beer which paired well. The seating was outside, which was covered in an ivy like feel. It was lemon trees providing adequate sun coverage and of course looked beautiful. We would highly recommend checking out Donna Stella if you're in Amalfi.

It is kind of hidden away and looks almost like you are entering someone's property. There was a wait but they seemed to remember faces and I did get seated after about 30 minutes, though they did seem pretty busy for a Sunday night. I ordered the lemon ravioli since I had been eating a lot of pizza and read that people enjoyed it. In my opinion, the lemon ravioli didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked, it seemed a little bland and didn't really taste like there was much lemon flavor and the quantity was a little small. Cooked well though. I think I would come back again but order the pizza instead. They did have a longer wait if you didn't make a reservation. Their lemon tiramisu (8€) was definitely worth it. Very creamy and not too sweet and had more of that lemon flavor that I was looking for. I wish I had come in a group, so they I could have tried more things, but no worries that can be next time.

This was the best meal we had on our recent Italy trip!…read more While the restaurant doesn't offer a seaside view, we sat in the atrium with a lovely evening light and heaters. We started with an amuse-bouche (compliments of the chef), which was a parmesan cracker with ricotta. We shared two appetizers among the four of us - a tuna carpaccio in citrus fruit and poached eggs with black truffle. The poached egg came in a sauce that was totally delicious and mop-able with bread. The tuna was fantastic and very light. For the main, our table split the pasta stuffed with burrata and black truffle and the risotto with red shrimp in lemon sauce. Absolutely incredible! The risotto was soooo refreshing and light and cooked perfectly. The truffle pasta was full umami flavor and a flavor party. We ended with delicious desserts, my husband got the hazelnut coffee which he loved and I got a lemon assortment. This had a lemon cream brulee sort of preparation which I loved. The wines here were also fantastic and the service prompt and great!

They don't have anything marked GF on their menu but the server walked me through what I could have. My friend and I started with the La Caprese and they provided me with a GF baguette. For my entree I had the zucchini GF pasta. The pasta was good but the sauce was a bit overwhelming. It wasn't my favorite. My friend ordered the La Genovese with GF pasta and it was really enjoyable. They only had 1 GF dessert so we opted to get the lemon sorbet. They also brought out a few GF candies as well. Overall the service and views were really nice but I wasn't a fan of my entree.
