Excellent restaurant. Amazing views and vibes. Our server Jaylan was very attentive and sweet despite being kept super busy. The cocktails were great and seafood was fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back!

I sat at the bar for happy hour. The oysters were fresh and delicious. I opted for a burger with fries, which was perfect. The bartender was sweet and attentive. The low background music at the bar gave a good vibe.

It's aptly named- The View has the best view in town. I watched a beautiful sunset there as well. The food is delicious & it has a nice wrap around bar where you can easily walk outside and be right on the water

My family hosted a surprise party at the View for my birthday. I can't thank the staff enough for making my special day amazing! The passed hors d'oeuvres were delicious! My favorite was the mini lobster rolls and spring rolls. My daughter in law said the manager and staff were very easy to communicate with and made the party planning a breeze. Even during a rainstorm, the View has breathtaking views. Looking forward to the relaxing outdoor dining experience. (No food photos this time. I was enjoying my party with family and friends.)

I dined at The View recently. The restaurant staff were welcoming and friendly. The outside dining area is mostly covered by an awning. I started out with the shrimp and scallop ceviche (a special) and little neck clams. Both were tasty! For my entree I had their warm lobster roll. It was filled with a lot of lobster. Very pleased and delicious. For dessert I had their Campfire sundae. Highly recommend! This is a great spot to dine during the summer months.

Absolutely wonderful welcoming by manager Blonde waitress was wonderful and kind and attentive . Breathtaking views, water view, boats whizzing by and beach in site. Fresh salads, appetizers, soups are outta this world. You can air in our outside A must try off the beaten path. Totally worth it

My daughter & son in law had their wedding here & all I can say is this place is perfection. From the planning to the execution, the venue covered it all. The couple used the partners of the View for photographer, videographer, flowered, DJ, etc, & everything was perfect. The staff couldn't be more accommodating & professional. Being on the river was extra special as we utilized inside & outside of the restaurant. The picture opportunities are spectacular inside & out. The gazebo on the edge of the patio was a perfect backdrop to the ceremony. Food & drinks were all made to perfection! An added bonus is the dockage as the couple & their family & friends are all boaters. Having several guests arriving by boat was unique. The new couple sailed away after the ceremony on their boat. It was the best wedding exit I've witnessed. We loved this place so much, we're looking to plan another event there in the future.

Is it necessary for men to wear suits at early September 12:30 wedding?

Yes at least a blazer would be appropriate

What's the attire for this place?

Nice but casual attire to dressy. (May sound odd but being waterside with an outdoor patio it needs to be noted: No tank tops, bathing suits. Foot wear is a must.)

The only downside was that it's winter and we are smack in the middle of back to back literal blizzards and we went at night so we couldn't see any of the view. But believe me, I will definitely be back to make it all right. Every once is a while, for one of my sisters' birthdays we will hold a psychic night. This time, we saw that Snapper Inn was having a psychic night with dinner, so we decided to let them do all the work. I called over a month ahead and spoke with Jim, who was the loveliest man. He gave me all the details and I told him I would call back when I have an official head count. The psychic dinner came with a prix-fixed 3 course meal and a 15 min reading. The menu was amazing. I got the winter salad and the shrimp oreganota while ending up with the banana bread pudding. Everything was top notch, from the private set up with our reading, to the round table they sat the 7 of us at. The service was out of this world and Caroline made sure everything was done perfect. The most important thing is that my sister very much enjoyed everything. And being that this is a family owned business, according to Jim, I was proud to celebrate my family with them. I hope we can do it again.

However, The heater seemed very strong, especially if you're seated by the windows -- it felt uncomfortably hot. Entrees are priced around the $30 range, so expectations were a bit higher. Unfortunately, we waited almost an hour for our entrees. There was also a mix-up with our salad order. At first we were told the portion served was the full size, but it clearly wasn't. To their credit, the staff did replace it.

I've always loved it and recommended it to everyone. The last two visits have not been too great not only to the portion but the prices went up. It wasn't as crowded as you would've thought. My husband's lobster was mushy and overcooked my son's girlfriend shrimp on crabcakes she only ate two due to being Bland ,my chicken Was dry and boring and under flavored. The french fries were over salted We went back again last night for New Year's Eve. This is the place that we've been coming to for the last 10 years. We come with the same couple and usually have a great time. There were lines for the bathroom which left people standing close to people's tables. I ordered the New York strip off the bone which came black and blue when I ordered it Medium it had to go back two times and then it came back the last time and I couldn't even eat it. It was butterflied and mangled The manager was aware of this and did nothing. Which is a first for this restaurant My friend ordered the filet mignon which looked like shoe leather. They did take that one back and gave her a new one which was cooked properly with the first send back My husband's and his friends were also black and blue, but they ate them because they didn't want to send back all the steaks at the table . The Waite staff is phenomenal there the management has changed and is terrible. You would've thought that the manager would've came over when I'm spending eighty dollars on a steak and am the only One not eating and just say hi can I get you dessert and coffee? Nope nothing!!! I have $600 bill came for four people and I was so unhappy with the amount of money I spent for food that I could've gotten from JNR steakhouse Sorry but that's how much it changed! Unfortunately, this will now be my last visit based on principle I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone anymore for the change is unbelievable so disappointed The manager knows us The manager knows that we were just there last week And the manager should at least try to make the regulars happy Along with first timers Guess I'm finding a new place for New Year's Eve This will not be my local restaurant any longer

It took almost 30 minutes just to have our order taken, another 30 minutes for soup, another 30 minutes for the calamari appetizer, and yet another 30 minutes for our main dish, which was just a lobster roll. What should have been a simple meal turned into an unnecessarily long and frustrating wait. What made it worse was that our waitress didn't seem apologetic at all about how long everything was taking. In fact, she appeared much more attentive to the table next to us, who she seemed to know personally, while we were left waiting most of the time. To add to that, the water we asked for never even arrived. The experience ended on an uncomfortable note when we went to pay. Our card was flagged for possible fraud (likely because we're not from the area). While my husband was already pulling out cash to pay, a man wearing a beanie and chef jacket stood there in a pushy manner insisting we call the bank immediately while he waited. Between the extremely slow service, lack of attentiveness, and the uncomfortable payment interaction, the entire experience was frustrating from start to finish. Save yourself the trip and the time -- we should have listened to the reviews before making the drive.
