Last night Sweet 16 party DJ and cake great. Sure don't know good food... Food sure not worth the money. Soggy and tasteless. Came home major stomach issues last night... I'm not a drinker, but the quality of the liquor was very poor quality. FOOD a horror, people in no way came back for seconds. I did brisket and seconds horrible. Left on the plate...Everyone else felt the same. Had a great time with all the family and friends. But, you owe these people at least half of there money back. No way would I recomend this place. 1 star is far more than it's worth. read more

I had the honor of attending my friend wedding reception here and overall things went pretty smooth from what I can see. They have ample parking, clean restroom, and an inviting staff. The only thing I'd suggest, is them replenishing the cocktail hour veg and fruit table. The servers that had trays of food came out in a timely manner and I didn't have to look for a server, which is always a plus. This particular wedding was buffet style and the food was pretty good. The selections were mac & cheese, bake chkn, bbq ribs, steak, onion, and peppers on a stick, potatoes w/ vegetables, and bread. I had the baked chicken w/ potatoes and veg and it was pretty tasty and hot(in temperature). For dessert, there was the wedding cake of course, fruit tarts, pastries, fruits, tea, and coffee. I believe my friend had maybe 120 guests, and everyone was comfortable as far as space is concerned. The room had beautiful lighting and it felt really intimate. read more

Every time we host a function at Marconi Manor, we are more than satisfied at how well our affair turns out. Helen, the banquet manager is so accommodating and the whole staff treats you like family. The food is delicious and the prices are more than fair! We've had our children's communions there, attended weddings, hosted my mother-in-law's 70th birthday party, as well as our cousin's communion and bridal shower. I did not eat an the Marconi Manor but I had the food at the Seatuck Eco-Carnival and it was very good. I was a bit surprised but I'm not sure why. I had the BBQ chicken which was huge and juicy. The pulled pork was also plentiful, moist and tasty. The burger was just OK. Sounds like they're also catering organic foods, which sounds interesting to me. I wish them a lot of luck with that. I think there's definitely a market for it. Overall, a positive food experience. I would definitely consider Mastrontonio Catering for a BBQ or party. read more

My wedding was excellent. I can't say enough good things about Helen and her staff. Jodi the photographer, Mike the florist, Mike the limo driver all fantastic. The food was excellent and plenty of it. Helen the manager made sure everything was perfect. The DJ played everything we wanted and did everything I asked him to. He was not in your face like some DJs and bands sometime gets at weddings. Anyone getting married or wants a party choose Marconi Manor. You will be very happy. read more

Down there in April recently for a bridal shower. Actually years ago back in 1991 it was the Marconi long I had been there for my 8th grade dance. That place is totally renovated inside very nice up-to-date an elegant. They do weddings, showers all kinds of events. Obviously it's not a huge place so it's for more intimate events or parties. When I was there it was a buffet style with white glove service. All of the food choices rehab but absolutely delicious and out of this world. I have extremely heavy gifts that needed to be carried in and there were staff members there that were able to carry the gifts into be better for me that way I didn't have to do it. I was very impressed with the way it was renovated The Raven Anvil of the party everything was decorated beautifully the food came out hot and quickly was refilled. I would say there was approximately 65-75 guests at the shower. They did not rush you they let you do everything at your own pace. They have a bar not huge we did not utilize the bar for the shower since it was a daytime shower from 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. if you looking to have a sweet 16 or retirement party or a bridal showerdef. a place to look into esp. if you live locally and like to keep your business local. If you're having a small wedding it's perfect has the Dance Floor building and reasonable prices per person. They do the buffet but can also do the plated meals. Some of the worst food that has ever passed my lips. This place is HORRENDOUS. If Yelp let me give it negative stars I would break the rating system. 100% microwaved crap, I simply cannot find the adjectives to state how terrible the food is. Who the &^%$ drowns low grade beef in CINNAMON sauce and then microwaves it? The chicken was served in expired, rotten cheese sauce! They took onions, fried them in grease, served it on melba toast and called it an appetizer! We are owed an apology for the mess that was put on plates and served to us. McDonalds sucks and their food is light years ahead of this garbage. Oh and lastly - the bar SUCKS! Guests left in droves to go to the liquor store and the beer store to get good stuff. Wow...the place is beautiful as I remember. We just had my 60th Birthday Party on July 1st 2017. The ballroom is spacious and nicely appointed, complete renovation. The Service, especially our Matre'd, Aixa was on top of everything. The room was decorated so nice, as I implemented a Beach theme. Aqua napkins over Ivory Table coverings. Handmade Aqua Centerpieces with twinkle lights. But, omg, the food, plentiful and delicious. The Clams and Mussels Orgenata were to die for. The eggplant rolatini, as good as moms. The chicken francaise tender and moist. The meatballs, and our sides. I am so grateful to the entire staff, the service men and women, and the owners who made my day wonderful. Ps. Cannot recommend enough, wedding planning with Helen and the staff at the Marconi Manor was easy from start to finish. My guests raved about the food, the atmosphere, and the DJ all night. This more of a area for the Sons of Italy and various other clubs. They do have a bar and depending rents the space, they have food. For example, The Islip Chamber of Commerce had a Fat Tuesday Celebration and Membership Drive. It also serves as a Meet & Greet for those who want to know the business' and other neighbors of the Islip township. Since moving from Wantagh, I have fell in love with Islip. I am now a Member of the Islip Chamber of Commerce. I hope to join the Republican Club. 'Nuff said! read more

Had my daughter's bridal shower on 11/5/2016 and I really loved having it here! From the initial planning to the actual event I am impressed with the service we received. I was nervous of having 50 guests at the site because the venue is large but it was perfect - plenty of space for interaction of the guests. I received compliments from the guests on how pretty the venue is. I would highly recommend this venue. They did a great job setting up the tables with the candle centerpiece I brought in and a display table they set up for us. I had my twin daughters 1st birthday party on March 14th, 2015. It was amazing I couldn't have been more happier. The buffet food was great and along with the ice cream we had with toppings. Helen was the host of my party and she did such a wonderful job she was very helpful the entire party. Booking the hall was a very reasonable price and well worth it. Also they renovated the entire hall and it looks absolutely beautiful, what a big change. From the moment we went in to just inquire about packages and prices to the day of our wedding Helen was so amazingly helpful. She took the time to answer all our questions both by phone and in person. She did such a great job making our day special. If I could give Anthony and the folks at Marconi Manor more than 5 stars, I would. There are not very many companies around where the owner is so invested in ensuring your satisfaction. I actually used Bulls I BBQ Caterers, which is a brand under the Marconi Manor umbrella. They catered an offsite rehearsal dinner, a friends wedding reception, and most recently a private party. My wife and I are from down south and were looking for something with some southern flare. Anthony delivered. He cooked up an awesome Shrimp/Crawfish boil with all the side fixings you could ask for. His communication, service, price, and food were all spot on. He's worked last minute to put together a private dinner and has never disappointed. Anyone who posts negative reviews after working with Anthony should be ignored. He's always working to make sure you're satisfied and runs a great operation. Highly Highly recommend!! read more

I had my engagement party there and everything was great. Aixa was a huge help from planning to the day of she ran around and kept asking if anyone needed anything or helping when she saw something needed to be done. The last time I stepped foot in Marconi was 10 years ago! The place is beautifully redone and on top of that they keep the place immaculate. I am so happy that I picked here for my party everything came out exactly how I wanted it to. I love that there are so many places to decorate and personalize the space.The only thing I would say is there should be an upgrade option for better beer, we paid for beer and wine for everyone and could only choose between Bud/Bud light or Coors/Coors light, I would definitely have paid an upgrade charge to have something much better. I had no idea what the champagne punch was before my party, but it was great and actually a huge hit with our guests. read more
