The least amount of people you will do a Barbeque for seems to be 40 people. I'm looking to serve 30 and looking at your restaurant menu. Would you consider this a better choice for this many people? Also, do you actually have a restaurant?

Hey Kathy, I defiantly would consider trays being a better option. We can provide Sterno Racks and… Read more

Nick and his crew did an outstanding job at my son's wedding. First off, he sat and listened to my…read moreson and his fiancé and then captured all their wishes into a fairy tale experience. Nick set up a 40 x 40 ft tent flawlessly, provided all the lighting and the table chairs, dishes etc etc - basically everything. He then set up an on-site kitchen that delivered with some of the best food: His chateaubriand grilled on a charcoal grill was outrageous. His calamari was tender and cooked on sight. His salads were fantastic, and even the asparagus was great. For dessert his Banana foster garnered rave reviews. Likewise for his shrimp, salmon and lamb chops. No one left hungry or disappointed. Nick had the good thought at our home based wedding located on the Great South Bay to drop the flaps on the tent when the wind picked up at the end of the ceremony. We didn't have to tell him - he anticipated what we needed for the event to be a success. That is Nick's secret - his experience and cooking expertise makes him anticipate your needs before you do! His crew of 6 were so helpful and caring. Every guest told us it was the best wedding they had been to. Why? Great food, caring help, smart plentiful choices. When the great evening was done, the backyard was left spotless with almost no reminders a great event occurred there. I wish I had photos to add but we were all busy enjoying ourselves, so I will post when we get them from the photographer Thank you Nick and the Tanglewood crew- you are the best!

All details (set up of tents, tables, chairs, linens, food) are taken care of by the company so there is little for us to worry about. Anything that you want, Nick and his team can make happen for you. We have referred Nick and Tangelwood to family and friends and they were all extremely satisfied. Our guests always rave about the variety and quality of the food, as well as the service they receive. They all love to listen to Nick's friendly banter while he tells them how good the food is. :) Karen & Darren

"Up in Smoke" (UIS) is a fitting name for this business. It is a term used when a plan fails or…read morecomes to nothing. It is also a term used to describe something destroyed by fire. I wish I could say fire was used in the preparation of the food I sampled, but it may have not been used. I take you to the 4th of July 2023. I attended a party which used brisket purchased from this business. A business that falsely describes, on its corporate web site, its brisket as "smoked brisket". See attached picture from company web site. Note: brisket is the most popular meat for smoking, followed in popularity by pork butt, pork shoulder and ribs. The UIS brisket had zero smoked flavor, and tasted and looked like pot roast (brisket is always sliced against the grain and this was not the case here. There were strings of meat when it fell apart). It had the texture of a chuck roast, cooked as pot roast and then sliced in the shape of brisket slices, though not as long. I emailed an owner named Jeff a few days later to voice my concern. He's apparently in denial. Claims the brisket is now Au Ju's style. Meaning, Cooked in liquid. Conveniently not mentioned on their web site. Again, see picture from web site taken today. Au Ju's is kept a secret from those browsing the web site. Why would a bbq business prepare the most popular smoked cut of meat a different way? I don't know. I can speculate two possibilities. One is laziness. Smoking takes time and effort. Throwing brisket in liquid to cook is easy, yet yields horrible bbq results. The other is difficulty smoking wherever they were smoking. Neighbors often complain about smoke in the air. Happened to Smokin' Al's in Massapequa. Their proper solution for Al's was to smoke food elsewhere. Back to the situation at hand. So Jeff tells me that they sell 3000 pounds of brisket annually and I am the first to complain it isn't smoked by a business built on and around smoke. Laughable. I offered to bring in samples of the alleged beef brisket to demonstrate that it is probably fake and chuck roast instead but my offer was ignored. That says a lot about this business. Jeff claimed that all customers are notified of the Au Jus preparation and I confirmed that was not the case here.

We can't say enough about our experience with LCI Caterers. From our first email more than a year…read morebefore our wedding they were so welcoming, responsive, and warm. Susanne, who was our main contact throughout the process, is tremendously organized and communicative, and Joe and his team are experts in food and hospitality. At our tasting, Joe and Susanne gave us great suggestions to tweak our menu, and welcomed our feedback. Renting table linens and coolers for our bar through them was also a breeze, removing a layer of stress from planning. Not to mention, LCI's rates for their excellent service were more than fair, and we really appreciated their price transparency on their website. On our wedding day, the food was just as good if not even better than at our tasting. Several guests approached us to give their compliments about the meal, and my family who works in hospitality was particularly impressed by the level of care paid to every detail, down to the sparkling clean silverware. One of the best moments for us was seeing the entree Joe made for our vegan guest, who was nearly moved to tears by how thoughtfully it was prepared! During cocktail hour, the passed appetizers came out at a steady pace, and I'm pretty sure the last table called was up at the buffet before my wife and I even finished our plates. We spotted plenty of guests going up for seconds, too. As for the bar, the bartender was friendly and quick, and he executed our signature drinks perfectly. On top of that, it was great to see how seamlessly the LCI team worked with our coordinator and the venue. Great food was one of the most important aspects of the wedding for us, and LCI more than exceeded our expectations. We can't thank them enough for helping to make our day so special!

We stayed in touch for months to ensure that everything went smoothly on the day of and that all details, small and large, were in place. We had hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour and a buffet for our reception dinner, and everything we ate was incredible. Our guests stopped us multiple times throughout the night to compliment the food, some even saying that it was the best meal they've ever had at a wedding. The coffee and homemade desserts were phenomenal and I wish I took more photos! The bar was impeccable as well, they were able to accommodate our drink requests to have a few of our favorite beers and Cold Brew Martinis as our signature drink, that our guests absolutely loved. The staff was super friendly and inviting, making our guests feel right at home. As the bride and groom, they always made sure we had a plate or drink in hand and didn't even have to think about it. Their setup and breakdown was prompt and seamless, which helped us not stress over how it all came together. We would recommend LIC for all of your event catering needs and would love to work with them again in the future, or attend another wedding where they're catering. :) Thank you again for an incredible evening!

We were deciding between a few caterers and had a tasting with the Perry's that just sealed the deal. My (now) husband and I walked out of there saying it felt like we just had lunch with our aunt & uncle, it felt like we had known them that long! They are two amazingly warm people -- of course it helps that John is incredibly organized and good at his job and that Nikki makes the most delicious bites. We devoured every little last bite at that tasting.. Nothing went to waste! John was so helpful with everything leading up to the day of as well, from picking out rentals, to working out our timeline. We decided to have a different format (cocktail stations as opposed to a formal sit-down dinner) and working together, John helped us make sure we'd have a smooth flow and that everything would go off without a hitch. As we were working out the details with the rentals, I never felt like he was pushing me one way or the other -- even when he put together the list of kitchen items they'd need (my venue did not provide any set-up), I knew he was being careful about not over-ordering. I really felt like he had my best interests in mind at all times. Having him to coordinate all the details made me feel at ease.. I knew I was in good hands! On our actual wedding day, we were so well taken care of. The staff made sure we were eating (haha, doesn't always happen at weddings!) and everything ran so smoothly. Later in the evening, a very traumatic family emergency happened during the reception that put a frightening pause on the celebration. John was a rock and I really felt like I looked to him for the "What now?" John & Nikki were different from some of our other vendors with whom we'll probably not be in touch again. I feel like we'll be sending John & Nikki Christmas cards for years to come.. :) They embraced us and made us feel like family, and I'm certain they will you too.
