First and foremost, with all the choices that…read morewe made during the process of planning our wedding on the North Fork, choosing our caterer was easy. We were deciding between a few caterers and had a tasting with the Perry's that just sealed the deal. My (now) husband and I walked out of there saying it felt like we just had lunch with our aunt & uncle, it felt like we had known them that long! They are two amazingly warm people -- of course it helps that John is incredibly organized and good at his job and that Nikki makes the most delicious bites. We devoured every little last bite at that tasting.. Nothing went to waste! John was so helpful with everything leading up to the day of as well, from picking out rentals, to working out our timeline. We decided to have a different format (cocktail stations as opposed to a formal sit-down dinner) and working together, John helped us make sure we'd have a smooth flow and that everything would go off without a hitch. As we were working out the details with the rentals, I never felt like he was pushing me one way or the other -- even when he put together the list of kitchen items they'd need (my venue did not provide any set-up), I knew he was being careful about not over-ordering. I really felt like he had my best interests in mind at all times. Having him to coordinate all the details made me feel at ease.. I knew I was in good hands! On our actual wedding day, we were so well taken care of. The staff made sure we were eating (haha, doesn't always happen at weddings!) and everything ran so smoothly. Later in the evening, a very traumatic family emergency happened during the reception that put a frightening pause on the celebration. John was a rock and I really felt like I looked to him for the "What now?" John & Nikki were different from some of our other vendors with whom we'll probably not be in touch again. I feel like we'll be sending John & Nikki Christmas cards for years to come.. :) They embraced us and made us feel like family, and I'm certain they will you too.

John, Nikki, and the staff of A Small Affair are professional, attentive, and easy to work with. My guests and my husband and I were thrilled with the whole "affair". Food was delicious, well prepared and presented. Staff were helpful and considerate. Call these people- you will be happy with your choice.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional, checking in without being intrusive and helping the experience feel smooth from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Each dish arrived looking carefully prepared, with generous portions that made the meal feel well worth the price. The combination of appealing presentation, satisfying flavors, and substantial servings made the meal especially enjoyable. What stood out most was the balance between good food and excellent service. Scott, the manager, and Anthony, our waiter, made everything memorable. Everything came out in a timely manner, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. It was the kind of dining experience where we could settle in, enjoy each bite, and leave feeling satisfied rather than rushed. Overall, I would definitely recommend Americano's Pie Bar in Islip to anyone looking for a delicious meal, friendly service, and a pleasant dining experience. I look forward to coming back again. The short rib rigatoni and the prosciutto cappellacci were top-notch.

It was the perfect setting for such a special celebration, with great food, lots of laughs, and memories we'll always have. The food was delicious, but the potatoes absolutely stole the show! The cake was amazing, and the champagne punch was delightful--definitely a favorite! Shandon Court is a great choice for so many different occasions. Whether you're planning a baby shower, birthday, bridal shower, or another special event, or you're simply looking for a nice place to enjoy lunch or dinner, I would absolutely recommend it. All the servers were super friendly! Great atmosphere, delicious food, and wonderful memories. We had such a great time!

It was a nice affair but a couple…read moreof things bothered me and not the restaurants fault really, just things one should know if planning to have an affair here. There is no elevator. The catering room for a smaller party is upstairs and there are about 20-25 steps to climb up. My daughters Great Aunt could not attend the shower because of this as she is not well and could never climb the stairs. Especially, the rest rooms are downstairs! Something to also consider for people who will have to carry heavy gifts up those stairs, you'll be carrying everything down! There was a baby shower taking place in the downstairs catering room which was huge so if your event will be a big one, this shouldn't affect your decision to visit here! I knew that this venue emphasized their restrictions on decorating, no hanging things on the walls, taping things to furniture, etc. But, right there sitting on the table was a sign in an upright stand stating this. It didnt belong there and that was just very tacky to me! Service I have to say was very good and the staff was attentive. They accomodated me with a Ceasar Salad as I couldn't eat the choice of salads selected ahead of time. The food was OK, nothing stood out to me to say it was delicious but the guests enjoyed themselves! Rhe cookies and pastries were very good! The occasion cake was presented very nicely on the outside but the filling inside was mostly cake and whipped cream. There was just a sliver of strawberry filling so that was a little disappointing! I may go back for dinner one night to try their regular menu. My review was based solely on my experience of having an affair here!

The weather was cool and comfortable, with the firepits and heaters going. It was the perfect evening to enjoy the outdoor space. We got the nicest and funniest waitress, Aurora. Multiple staff members and guests showed our senior dog so much love. That made the evening even more special. Chef Mike and Aurora recommended the paella for my partner. It was MASSIVE, and he absolutely loved it. I went with something a little simpler, the French onion soup, perfect for keeping me warm while sitting outside. We also enjoyed their complimentary fresh-out-of-the-kitchen rolls. They were warm and delicious. We also took advantage of their Tuesday flavored margaritas for just $7. We tried the peach and coconut margaritas, and both were perfectly made. Between the relaxing decor, great customer service, delicious food, and the love our senior pup received, we had such a fun evening. We definitely plan to come back and try some of the other dishes!

The only downside was that it's winter and we are smack in the middle of back to back literal blizzards and we went at night so we couldn't see any of the view. But believe me, I will definitely be back to make it all right. Every once is a while, for one of my sisters' birthdays we will hold a psychic night. This time, we saw that Snapper Inn was having a psychic night with dinner, so we decided to let them do all the work. I called over a month ahead and spoke with Jim, who was the loveliest man. He gave me all the details and I told him I would call back when I have an official head count. The psychic dinner came with a prix-fixed 3 course meal and a 15 min reading. The menu was amazing. I got the winter salad and the shrimp oreganota while ending up with the banana bread pudding. Everything was top notch, from the private set up with our reading, to the round table they sat the 7 of us at. The service was out of this world and Caroline made sure everything was done perfect. The most important thing is that my sister very much enjoyed everything. And being that this is a family owned business, according to Jim, I was proud to celebrate my family with them. I hope we can do it again.
