Beautiful Wedding, Disappointing Ending…read more Our experience with this venue was very positive throughout most of my Niece's wedding day, which makes the evening ending especially disappointing. At approximately 11:45 p.m. there were only our immediate family and two cars remaining. We were not socializing or lingering--we were actively packing up a large number of wedding items. Unfortunately, the staff became extremely aggressive about getting us out, despite the fact that there was a torrential storm outside. They closed the ballroom doors while we were still trying to retrieve our belongings, and the staff repeatedly rushed us. The maitre d' was particularly unpleasant and even confrontational. At one point, she even screamed at the DJ because they were seven minutes over the scheduled time. What was most upsetting to me was how the bride herself was treated on her wedding night. My Niece was trying to make sure everything had been collected, including the gift/money box and a large stack of photo-booth pictures. She was told the money box had been packed into a bin, but when she asked to verify it, it wasnt there! She politely asked if she could go back into the ballroom to look, since the doors were closed up already. They very reluctantly allowed her to do so, and lo and behold, she thankfully found the money box still sitting inside the ballroom, along with the photo booth pictures. I had actually been worried about leaving those items unattended but they rushed me out saying they would take care of moving them to the lobby, They did not! There was also an expensive package of large sparklers unused that the venue was making an exception for. While everyone was being rushed out, the large package of sparklers disappeared. We never found them and the staff played dumb. The staff also argued repeatedly with my Niece when she asked if she could return the next morning to pick up some larger items that simply could not fit into our vehicles because the tool to break them down was missing. She was told in no uncertain terms no it wasnt allowed. Other wedding venues allow you to pick up the next day cheerfully. These people wouldn't budge. The maitre d' lady was Especially Disappointing. As the person in charge at the end of the evening, she had the opportunity to show leadership, patience, basic empathy and grace, particularly toward a bride who was simply trying to collect here belongings during a rainstorm. Instead, her tone was harsh, confrontational, and completely lacking in compassion, stressing out my beloved Niece and ruining the end of the evening. Truly avoidable. More concerning, she appeared to be directing or encouraging the staff to take an unnecessarily rude and aggressive approach rather than helping us finish packing safely and efficiently. They were actually standing there glaring at us. I'm not kidding! Her behavior set the tone for the entire ending of the night and made an already stressful situation even worse. A person in a leadership position should model professionalism and courtesy, not instruct or permit staff to treat a bride and her family as though they were a problem to be removed. We are calm nice people and we completely understand that a venue has a closing time and that the staff need to finish their work. But there is a huge difference between efficiently wrapping up an event and treating a bride and her family as though they are a huge inconvenience, particularly when they are actively packing and trying as fast as they can to leave in a downpour. We have attended many weddings, and it is common for venues to allow a little extra time when guests are genuinely trying to finish packing, plus the venues also have no problem letting you pick up items the next morning if needed. A little patience and courtesy would have made all the difference. Maybe we just had the bad luck to get this particular staff that night. What should have been a happy, joyous final moments of my Niece's wedding night were filled with stress, arguing and the staff rushing her and her family out into a torrential storm. Not to mention the staff was tipped very well in advance. The wedding itself was beautiful and the staff that helped my Niece with the planning were good, but the end of the night staff were just low class. The way they handled the end of the night left a very bad impression and overshadowed what should have been a wonderful final memory for the bride. A bride should never have to spend the end of her wedding might arguing with venue staff over retrieving her own belongings. Or overhearing the maitre d' yelling at a DJ who did a fantastic job saying they would never work there again! Very disappointing display.

Well here we go; Sunday afternoon wedding @ 2pm..... FYI, mostly Italian guests !!!…read more FYI, the kids had their wedding ceremony here at 1:pm sharp; We arrived at 12:40 to find that we couldn't even get out of the road to pull into their Drivway because all of our guest cars / family members vehicles were still lined up running with no one in them & only one poor kid aka the valet all by himself .... had to run my family around the back and park it myself and we had to walk back around to the front ..... still gave the valet a $ 5 spot for doing nothing because I felt bad for him ..... Minus one star !!! Apparently this happens over here a lot .... read some of their reviews .... As you walk in this place it is very nice & clean & classy looking; the kids reception room was beautiful and set up real nice; loved the lighting & loved the decor !!! The dishes, glasses & utensils were spotless!!! Loved the bride & grooms game of thrones chairs !!! Plus One Star !! The Bar Service; thank God the kids opted for open bar; we had two bars set up on both sides of the room; the bartenders on both sides made awesome drinks all night long !! They hit em hard the way I like it .... lol !!! Plus One Star !! Tip; drink up and get a Lil twisted because your in form a very long wait for food... The House DJ; played awesome old school music all night long & kept everyone on the dance floor !!! Plus One Star !!! Would hire him for a future parties !! FYI; he had no cards so his loss !!! Cocktail hour consisted of just two items; chicken teriyaki on a stick & a mini Jamaican patty ?!&??? Both Jetro & a resturant Depot frozen food items !! Horrible !!! Minus One Star !!! The Salad; Garden Salad nice n fresh but nothing special .... Main Course; mind you it was now 5:20pm and we just got our dinners .... the affair was supposed to be over @ 6pm !!! omg ... we all were starving we had already ate all our dinner rolls and the cookies that were our favors !!!! Minus one star !!! This was a sit down dinner and we were just about 100 people .... they clearly have issues in their kitchen with expediting orders !!! We watched servers actually bring one dinner out at a time !!! Then we saw a cart roll out with maybe just 10 dinners at a time .... honestly I've worked in catering halls for many years I know when there's a problem in the kitchen ..... maybe under staffed but in my opinion this Cook needs a lot of help with everything ..... Minus One Star !! Notice regarding main course; just about our entire table went with the Prim rib; we had to change our prime rib to Chicken Francaise need I say more .... When ordering our Prime Rib we were told we could not get it rare or medium rare ???? Right there we should have see the smoke signals !! Attention; our Prime Rib was not sent back because of the meat was over cooked .... there was an issue with the meat .... I don't want to hurt this establishment we really wanted to have an awesome experience over here all the way around ... All the years eating Prime Rim at weddings we've never had issues with Prime Rib ..... if it's a choice it's always good !! In my opinion .... Most of the servers were very polite including the manager he was so apologetic and couldn't do enough for us ..... From the reviews & pictures I see a lot of Buffett style being opted for..... maybe that's the way to go ... Also noticed that most of the parties here are for middle eastern affairs and their menu choices clearly shows it ... As far as Italian American affairs they need work very short on delivery in regards to the food .... If you noticed the 3 Stars are for the hall decor, the bar & their house dj...... I yelp responsibly...... I don't yelp to hurt business but definitely to give potential customers a heads up !!! I wish this place the best of luck to get their kitchen staff & cooks up to a Five Star rating !!!! They deserve it this place is beautiful !!

My husband and I eloped, and planned this celebration a year later for 80 friends. Dish understood our "vision" of the night from the start - we wanted a relaxed and fun evening, with all of our favorite people and things. They made our favorite foods as the mains (tacos and pasta), with delicious and beautiful hors d'oeuvres, and sooo many incredible sides (the adorable cups of Caesar salad were a huge hit!). The food was absolutely perfect - we had so many unprompted compliments from our guests about the food throughout the night. Including our Nova Scotian friends absolutely loving the lobster rolls, and they would have been the harshest critics! Everything was somehow even more delicious than it was at the tasting. We also had a few gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free guests, and Dish had no problem either adapting or adding options to the dishes to ensure that there would be enough to eat for all the dietary preferences we threw at them! Julianna even made gorgeous signs (to match our wedding website!) that accompanied each food item to ensure no dietary mishaps. We heard rave reviews from our guests about the bartenders and servers, and all the staff were so happy and personable. We have no idea how they managed to pull off so much behind the scenes while literally everyone seemed so cheerful, calm, and professional all night long. My husband and I were truly free to enjoy ourselves and be with our friends without a single thought to logistics, and there are no words for how much that meant to us. Extra thanks to Stella as well, our amazing night-of captain! Beyond the delicious food, the entire experience working with Dish was full of incredible surprises that show just how thoughtful, prepared, and seriously GREAT AT THIS they are. From the moment we walked into the tasting (January 2024) and they had set up the Lobster and Rose cart as an extra surprise, until the very end of the event when they presented us with a tote bag full of thoughtfully and carefully packed containers with some of almost every single dish. They knew, even before we did, that leftovers are one of the best ways to relive the magic! Julianna was truly a godsend every step of the way - menu choices; floor planning; advice on everything - rentals, furniture, DJ; brainstorming ways to make our poutine dreams come true; never forgetting a single detail mentioned in any interaction; and so, so much more. More than that - she did it all with SO much support and thoughtfulness. Dish felt like so much more than a caterer, they were genuinely partners in planning the wedding celebration of our dreams. We sincerely hope that there will be an opportunity to work with Julianna and Michael in the future - thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

From the first time I got in touch with her, Chef Aless was always prompt with her responses - as it was my first time ever doing anything like this, she helped curate a menu for my husband and I based on our likes/dislikes. I had also gone back to her to switch up a couple items, which she had no problem with either - really appreciate the flexibility! On the day of, she came by a bit early (which was a non-issue for us considering we were idling by at home), and was very efficient as soon as she stepped in - we were served some delicious hors d'oeuvres (fig and brie crisps were divine!), an appetizer (truffle burrata and arugula, with a delicious pomegranate molasses dressing), second course (crab cakes with mango slaw, always a favorite in my book), main course (a perfectly medium rare Pat LaFrieda steak), some sides (a decadent sauce for the steak, creamed spinach and potatoes lyonnaise; if you coudln't tell, we wanted to replicate the NYC steakhouse experience), and lastly, chocolate mousse for dessert (needless to say, it was amazing). And best of all, she left the kitchen spotless, which was much appreciated. I also want to note that it's important to clarify what you're looking for when hiring a private chef, especially as a first timer (like me) - I thought Chef Aless was going to cook everything from start to finish at our apartment, however she actually came by with everything mostly prepared, and left the finishing touches for last. Granted, not everyone has a fully equipped kitchen so I totally understand her coming pre-prepped, but considering my husband and I both love cooking and have a nearly fully-equipped kitchen, we would've loved to see her in action and use the opportunity to pick up some pro-tips. All in all, Chef Aless was an absolute pleasure to work and speak with, and I'm so happy to have found her. If indoor dining is still closed off in the future, I will definitely be keeping her in mind for more special occasions.
