I am having my 60th Birthday party here. I went to visit the hall and I was impressed by the cleanliness of the place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Well here we go; Sunday afternoon wedding @ 2pm..... FYI, mostly Italian guests !!! FYI, the kids had their wedding ceremony here at 1:pm sharp; We arrived at 12:40 to find that we couldn't even get out of the road to pull into their Drivway because all of our guest cars / family members vehicles were still lined up running with no one in them & only one poor kid aka the valet all by himself .... had to run my family around the back and park it myself and we had to walk back around to the front ..... still gave the valet a $ 5 spot for doing nothing because I felt bad for him ..... Minus one star !!! Apparently this happens over here a lot .... read some of their reviews .... As you walk in this place it is very nice & clean & classy looking; the kids reception room was beautiful and set up real nice; loved the lighting & loved the decor !!! The dishes, glasses & utensils were spotless!!! Loved the bride & grooms game of thrones chairs !!! Plus One Star !! The Bar Service; thank God the kids opted for open bar; we had two bars set up on both sides of the room; the bartenders on both sides made awesome drinks all night long !! They hit em hard the way I like it .... lol !!! Plus One Star !! Tip; drink up and get a Lil twisted because your in form a very long wait for food... The House DJ; played awesome old school music all night long & kept everyone on the dance floor !!! Plus One Star !!! Would hire him for a future parties !! FYI; he had no cards so his loss !!! Cocktail hour consisted of just two items; chicken teriyaki on a stick & a mini Jamaican patty ?!&??? Both Jetro & a resturant Depot frozen food items !! Horrible !!! Minus One Star !!! The Salad; Garden Salad nice n fresh but nothing special .... Main Course; mind you it was now 5:20pm and we just got our dinners .... the affair was supposed to be over @ 6pm !!! omg ... we all were starving we had already ate all our dinner rolls and the cookies that were our favors !!!! Minus one star !!! This was a sit down dinner and we were just about 100 people .... they clearly have issues in their kitchen with expediting orders !!! We watched servers actually bring one dinner out at a time !!! Then we saw a cart roll out with maybe just 10 dinners at a time .... honestly I've worked in catering halls for many years I know when there's a problem in the kitchen ..... maybe under staffed but in my opinion this Cook needs a lot of help with everything ..... Minus One Star !! Notice regarding main course; just about our entire table went with the Prim rib; we had to change our prime rib to Chicken Francaise need I say more .... When ordering our Prime Rib we were told we could not get it rare or medium rare ???? Right there we should have see the smoke signals !! Attention; our Prime Rib was not sent back because of the meat was over cooked .... there was an issue with the meat .... I don't want to hurt this establishment we really wanted to have an awesome experience over here all the way around ... All the years eating Prime Rim at weddings we've never had issues with Prime Rib ..... if it's a choice it's always good !! In my opinion .... Most of the servers were very polite including the manager he was so apologetic and couldn't do enough for us ..... From the reviews & pictures I see a lot of Buffett style being opted for..... maybe that's the way to go ... Also noticed that most of the parties here are for middle eastern affairs and their menu choices clearly shows it ... As far as Italian American affairs they need work very short on delivery in regards to the food .... If you noticed the 3 Stars are for the hall decor, the bar & their house dj...... I yelp responsibly...... I don't yelp to hurt business but definitely to give potential customers a heads up !!! The Long Island region of the New York City Christ of church had an incredible Woman's Day at the banquet hall . It was really amazing. People loved the place it was very luxurious . Albert and his guys did a great job with the food they thought it was very tasty . I had no bad reports from it whatsoever everything was fully positive . They allowed us to get in the night before to set things up so that we wouldn't have to do it in the morning. And they protected the equipment . I came here for Asad J. Gathering. My only issue was the location. This address brought me down the road 5 min away from the actual location otherwise that's it. Once I found the correct location I was amazed how elegant the outside looked and that they even had a red carpet set up. I drove to the back to look for parking and found it with out any issues. The walk from the parking lot to the front wasn't long, I had very high heels on and I was regretting the walk. That's just me. I kept thinking to myself I should of wore flip flops lol. The Guest of honor greeted me by the door as we walk the red carpet to lead me to the room where his event was being held. As I was walking I notice the beautiful large paintings on the walls, along with the chandeliers. (Side note) As soon as you pass the red carpet there is a waterfall, I think the waterfall is unnecessary because I didn't even notice it until I saw it in pictures. Ok, off to the room. The room was beautiful his colors was white and pink. There are 2 entrances into the room,, the first entrance is when you walk in the DJ was to the right where the dance floor is and the opposite side of that wall they had a photo booth. The second entrance leads to the middle of the dinning area which was pretty good because there was a lot of special guess that needed to make an entrance. The room was so clean, in the back was the buffet set up. The servers was still serving and catering to the table as well. . Although it was buffet style they still came around asking what we needed and got our drinks and everything. Not to mention they was very well dressed. ( On another note, I'm not sure if this place serves alcoholic beverages because his event didn't. Not sure if that's his preference or just a rule of the hall) I would definitely recommend having an wedding or party here. Here's the Scoop: On Sunday afternoon i attended a retirement party at this Banquet Hall. There's plenty private parking attached to the Hall. Upon entering the waiting area is spacious and comfortable. There are several party rooms and the food is served in a separate dining area from your table seating. Inside the room where we were assigned was beautifully renovated. The colors were soft hues of gold and pastels. Beautiful chandelier in the center of the dance floor which was a medium size. DJ area against the back wall. The food was the general menu of: rotini, salad, chicken Marsala, mashed potatoes, shrimp parmigiana , eggplant parmigiana, beef in gravy and sliced Italian bread. Desert was a sheet cake that was very dry that made me question its freshness. Tables had clean linen tablecloths and napkins. The waiting servants did an excellent job in serving and tending to any of your needs. Overall the party started at 5pm and went over there closing time for Sunday which is 8pm. My husband and I left at 8:30 and they were still partying, it's a nice place to have an event. I had so much fun I didn't take any pics, Ooops and you know that's not me. The overall experience at Obsession Banquet Hall was amazing. I went last Sunday to my uncle's surprise 60th birthday party. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted at the entrance by a red carpet. There are beautiful crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. I really liked the room where the party took place; not too big or too small. It felt very inviting and cozy. The food, decor and service were very good. It was a memorable occasion, and it was very family-friendly as well. I recommend this venue for any special occasion. read more

My sister had her wedding function here followed by a few of our friends having their wedding functions here and I am impressed with this hall. Owner: Mr. Khalid Latif was very patient and helpful to my sister in planning her day and delivered in everything that was spoken on. Event manager Samir is fantastic and stayed on top of his staff to ensure everything was perfect. The food here is excellent and THE FOOD HERE IS ZABIHAH HALAL, allhumdullilah. Ramadan Kareem to all my friends. Well wishes, bring us closer to doing what's right. We went to an engagement party not too long ago and we were invited as guests. It's a fairly new place and was hoping to make a big splash! But to my families and cousins surprise were we wrong. I wish It could've shown us a better place with all the money that was spent in the place, but it could've been better. Although we come from a big family, we can understand our seating arrangements. Turned out the hall didn't have enough seats to fit some individuals of my family. On another note the food wasn't good AT ALL. Infact that funny taste you get after eating a week olds food is pretty much what happened here. I was going to keep my daughters wedding here, but thank Allah we found out before we could even do such a move. I've heard of better places in and around the area to have great reputations. We just had our daughters Sweet 16 at Obsession this past Saturday Night. A great time, and honestly the staff of Obsession from the top down could not have been nicer, more cordial, and helpful. I admit the planning of our party was very stressful, but Thanks and Kudos to Sam and his staff for really coming thru for us. The room was perfect, the lighting fantastic which gave it an amazing ambiance. The food was Outstanding. The hors d'oeuvre were better then perfect (You have to try the empanadas, they were amazing!). The buffet dinner was top notch, everyone loved the food. It was presented perfectly and was a great meal. Thanks to Sam and his staff again for the DJ and Photographer who made the evening even more special. From beginning to end, Khalid and Sam took care of us and the event. I don't think I've ever experienced such hospitality and genuine care that Khalid and Sam provided. Not only did we get extra food for our event, we were told by Sam that our hall was extended an extra hour because our guests didn't arrive on time for the event. Sam ensured that the event flowed properly, time management was on point and overall was very organized. There are numerous other banquet halls that look tacky and old, but Obsession looks very elegant and classy. Their facilities are newer than other halls and they definitely take care of the place. Sam and Khalid take great pride in what they do and they do it incredibly well. I'd definitely highly recommend Obsession Hall for any event. read more

Had my Nikah / Engagement Party here on the 24th of August and IT WAS AMAZING! I personally did a lot of research before booking here for one of the biggest days of my life. We made our reservation about a month and a half in advance. We were very fortunate to be able to find an availability with Obsession. Even before the event, Denise (the awesome manager) and Khalid (the awesome owner) were extremely helpful and considerate. They listened to all our needs and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. They worked really hard to match our budget and in addition to that, they accepted the menu that I wanted! I am Pakistani, but I love all different types of food. Denise listened to me and agreed to have a custom menu for my event. That was amazing! Everyone at the event LOVED the food. The appetizers were great, the main entrees were amazing, and the dessert was one of the best they've had! And I am not just saying that.. I have been to plenty of weddings at the 'high-class' halls and I've tried food from all over the place (I am a foodie).. Obsession stood out from the rest. And to top it all off... for all the Muslim families out there, the food is halal. And they will work with you every step of the way to your big day. I was really stressed out about my event, but Denise really made this into a perfect night for everyone. She is so creative and so good at what she does. She isn't just a manager who sits in the front desk and bosses people around. No, she is involved in every aspect of the events. Throughout the event, I saw Denise busy every time I saw her. She made sure everything was in order and that all the guests were having a great time. All the crew at Obsession were very nice and had a great attitude. I couldn't be more happier with the service. No matter what you've heard, I am telling you from my own personal experience. BOOK YOUR EVENT AT OBSESSION! I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed and at the end of the day, you will be extremely happy with the decision. Wow !!!! We had our Daughters Sweet 16 here Last week and it was Incredible. Ownership takes Great pride in your Party. They seek to not only please the client, but to impress the Guests. All of the kids had a Great time dancing on the Huge Dance Floor, Drinking the Mocktails provided. Our guests can't stop raving about how Beautiful the Hall is, How Delicious the food was, and how Courteous the staff was. When we first saw this hall we liked it immediately. Mr. K really made us feel like we wanted to have our party here. He was extremely helpful in guiding us towards making the perfect party ! I was here recently for a wedding. Management was nice, the workers were extremely polite. Greeted every guest with a smile and were enjoying the wedding as well. The place can have better directions leading to the restrooms, as I didn't know where the restrooms were, but they were down the hallway past the ballroom. This is the first review I have written in my years of using Yelp, mostly because my experience was so horrific that I think its important to highlight for future customers. I had my wedding at Obsession, after months of visiting different banquet halls and discussing/negotiating prices I found Khalid and Saadia very comforting for the following reasons: 1) They were pakistani, like me, so we had an understanding of the cultural/traditional aspects of the wedding 2) They gave me a package deal, promising a great menu for a great price and a lot of decor included 3) We formed a good working relationship from the beginning/having mutual family friends/contacts I was comfortable and reassured that the event would go very smoothly. However, as we got closer to the wedding date- Saadia became harder and more difficult to get in contact with, I would have to call Khalid only to be told to call Saadia again. Additionally, they had encouraged me to use their DJ services (some guy named Farhan) that they contracted out but 2 weeks before my wedding and no DJ had contacted me- despite my persistent attempts at trying to find out what was going on with the DJ. (No bride should be having to worry about these things 2 weeks before her wedding). The day before the wedding I get a call from Saadia, she wants to confirm the menu for the wedding- the is the night before while I'm getting henna put on my hands. I'm automatically even more shocked, but she assures me that everything is under control. On the wedding day itself, since I am the bride, I am less involved with the operations of the hall- but the minute I enter the banquet hall I feel the heat. There is no air conditioning. And people are lined up outside the appetizer room waiting to be let in for appetizer (20 minutes delayed); I sit in the bridal suite and I can feel myself working up a sweat with the heavy clothes I have on and the layers of make up- my sisters and mother go repeatedly to find Saadia regarding the air condidtioning/lack of air circulation and she tells them that its being worked on- no one from Obsession management even came to apologize or check how I was doing through out all of this. Even though appetizers were put out 20 minutes late, they were picked up 40 minutes later (on the hour-as planned), to the point where Saadia asked my in-laws to leave the appetizer room (mind you- my inlaws had arrived 15 minutes before so she should have had the common sense to atleast take the appetizers). After I made my entrance (the DJ messed up on announcing me, and with the spotlights) the groom and I stood in the dark for about 5 minutes as no one turned on the lights- Saadia was nowhere to be found and people were running around in complete darkness. When the lights turned on, I realized that both me and the groom were sweating, visibly, because the heat was even worse on stage, under all the lights. I asked multiple staff about the air conditioning only to be ignored, no one from Obsession approached me or asked me (again) how I was doing. My sisters and cousins were looking for Saadia and Khalid at this time, could not find either- Saadia had locked up the bridal suite (which had a sleeping baby inside) and had disappeared. So when it was cake cutting time noone knew where the cake was (the staff had put it inside because of the heat), as we're waiting for it to come out- two waiters come out carrying the cake (looking rather unbalanced) and place it on a small table- they realize they have forgotten the knife and plate so grab one from a nearby seating table. Through out this time, there is no air conditioning, no fans, no ventilation. My sister is looking for the DJ, and he's left his station too (we heard later that he was parking cars outside because the valet was having trouble with a manual car). Finally Sadia reappears, my sisters ask her about the heat situation and she tells us its our fault because apparently one of our guests messed around with the thermostat and broke the air conditioning (?!?!?!). People are standing in the parking lot at this time because its too hot to stand indoors and are leaving early because of this. Dessert is served but the cake comes out 30 minutes after the desserts so most of our guests don't have any. My mom asks saadia about the leftover food and Saadia tells my mother (very rudely) that its not company policy to give any- this is after the night before the wedding she had confirmed with me that all leftovers will be packed and given to us. The DJ, before leaving, asks my sister for payment for his services (which were already paid for), my sister who is from out of Town gets confused and pays him too. After I have left and my family is getting into their own cars, Khalid comes running out to tell my family to take the food. Overall, this was one of the most embarrassing nights of my life- to have all the people that are special to me come together for a party that was downright terrible. read more

An amazing place for weddings and all sorts of parties. Great ambiance, amazing food and most of all perfection in management. I just had my brother's wedding party here and it was managed exuberantly. A very special thanks to Saadia Randhawa, who managed the whole event like it was her own event. Food was great, didn't have to run behind waiters for tray refills. Everything was done in harmony from the appetizers, to the special performances to the main course. I had my wedding here in December 2018 and I could not have chosen a better hall. The hall looked amazing and my guests loved the decor as well as the food. The service on the day of the event was amazing and every single one of my guests was taken care of. The staff was impeccable and I can find no complaint about anything done that day. My parents threw me a surprise 30th birthday party here and it was nothing short of amazing. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. The wait staff did a great job of tending to our guests and the DJ did an excellent job of keeping everyone entertained. My family is of Indian/Trinidadian descent and while our music was not what the DJ was accustomed to, they both did a great job handling requests and keeping the dancing going all night long. The maître d'/manager, Nishant, was the best I've ever worked with. He made it a point to introduce himself to me and constantly checked in with me throughout the night to make sure I was happy. All in all everyone went above and beyond our expectations. I'd highly recommend Obsession to my friends and family. I look forward to having future events here. read more

Number 1: raw chicken I went to a party here a month ago and I can honestly say I was served raw chicken. Horrible catering!!!! The rest of the food was bland. The linens and chair cover were stained. Most likely from the previous party. Even the coffee cups still had lipstick stains on them. The management was rude and unorganized. Very very disappointing ! I had my wedding reception here big mistake they agreed to a lot of things when we had our initial conversation on pricing food and contract and then once we had decided and booked throughout the process they kept bringing up different things they could not do. Initially we spoke to Khalid who was very nice and accommodating agreed to having certain cocktails we wanted and also two bars one in cocktail hour and one in the main room and then a month prior to the wedding - Denise the manager who was assigned to our event kept bringing up different things they could not do like hold two bars or server the liquor we wanted . We ended up paying extra for the bar in the reception room ... But the worst parti is they totally messed up on our food ( we had a buffet) and they decided to stop and pack up the food even though not everyone had eaten they don't tell us before hand that the food was going to be packed up early ! Not only that they messed up on dessert we had fondue but they didn't serve anything with the fondue ! They were supposed to serve fruit ! And they served dessert and cake too late !
