I ordered the fish and chips, and, though very good, I should have gotten the prime rib. I noticed it across the way and it looked delicious!! Next time, as I will definitely be visiting this place again. A can't miss!!

Beautiful restaurant and event space that offers traditional Irish pub food and great drinks. I've…read morebeen here a few times but most recently for lunch with my aunt. The venue is beautiful - looks like a sizable cottage from the outside with a traditional interior including spacious rooms for large groups and a full bar. Our waitress was very nice and checked in frequently to make sure everything we ordered was to our liking. In addition to their regular menu items they offer some great specials, of which we ordered some. We got an order of the Clams Casino Royale - buttery, delicious and perfectly baked. We also got their soup of the day - a creamy spinach & crab bisque which was outstanding. And for main course I ordered the cold lobster roll with sweet potato fries. The entree came with choice of green or Caesar salad which was also particularly good. My only critique was that I asked to have my leftovers wrapped up. The person who took my plate asked if I wanted what was left of my lobster roll. I said yes. When I got home the container only included my sweet potato fries which was a bummer. Despite the miscommunication about my leftovers the experience was still a good one and I'll continue to frequent this restaurant as my family has gone here for many years.

The catering room for a smaller party is upstairs and there are about 20-25 steps to climb up. My daughters Great Aunt could not attend the shower because of this as she is not well and could never climb the stairs. Especially, the rest rooms are downstairs! Something to also consider for people who will have to carry heavy gifts up those stairs, you'll be carrying everything down! There was a baby shower taking place in the downstairs catering room which was huge so if your event will be a big one, this shouldn't affect your decision to visit here! I knew that this venue emphasized their restrictions on decorating, no hanging things on the walls, taping things to furniture, etc. But, right there sitting on the table was a sign in an upright stand stating this. It didnt belong there and that was just very tacky to me! Service I have to say was very good and the staff was attentive. They accomodated me with a Ceasar Salad as I couldn't eat the choice of salads selected ahead of time. The food was OK, nothing stood out to me to say it was delicious but the guests enjoyed themselves! Rhe cookies and pastries were very good! The occasion cake was presented very nicely on the outside but the filling inside was mostly cake and whipped cream. There was just a sliver of strawberry filling so that was a little disappointing! I may go back for dinner one night to try their regular menu. My review was based solely on my experience of having an affair here!

TL;DR Good Eats!…read more~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They weren't lying. Generous Lobster Rolls is an understatement. If you're a lover of most things Lobster and appreciate food creativity, Jackson Hall American Bar & Grille has you covered. Aside from their locally famous Lobster Rolls, Jackson Hall serves a full menu of American fare. Our server Cayden, and his team, offered polite and attentive service, handling our table of 8 (Andie, Mike, Sam, Joe and his wife, plus Gail, and Napoleon), with ease on an early Sunday morning in August. This fairly large restaurant, has on one side a Sports Bar area. On the other is the main dining area, with a few comfortable looking nailhead trim backed booths. Plus, customizable four-top tables to accommodate your large group. There's also a decent-sized outdoor area with a hodgepodge of picnic tables, dining tables, and Adirondacks for lounging. As for our meal, it was suggested by Andie to order two separate orders of the Lobster Mussel Pots to be shared. She was right, there was more than enough of this deep-flavored, sure fire dish. The Lobster Sherry, Sage sauce that accompanied those succulent mussels could not be wasted. It was to the point that I 'volunteered' to take home the remaining sauce to incorporate in making a successful Capellini Seafood dish...it was deliciously decadent. Honestly, I would return to JH solely for their Mussel Pots. I wanted to try everything on their menu, especially the Warm Lobster Roll options. My less than Habernero-y, Bacon Habanero lobster roll was light on that anticipated spicy kick, but was nonetheless full of flavor and filled to the brim with lobster and yummy bits and bobs...I enjoyed it. Big thanks to Andie for setting up our UYE, which always flourishes good company and encourages all to explore Good Eats!
