Culinary Studio has been catering events for us for well over 5 years. They have done numerous 4th of July Parties as well as family events and celebrations. It seems no job is too big or too small for Justin and Mary and their exemplary staff. My sandwich, The Godfather, prepared by Culinary Studio was voted the worst sandwich ever, see the picture. But I'm giving Culinary Studio 4 stars because when I brought my sandwich home I called Culinary Studio up and spoke to the owner Mary to complain. Mary told me to come back and she will give me a new sandwich, so for the great customer service I am giving five stars. But when I saw the same kid who made me the sandwich still making sandwiches I deducted one star. I guess it's hit or miss depending on who makes your sandwich on how good it's going to be. This is one of my go-to spots in Huntington Village when I need additions to my fish or chicken or if I don't feel like cooking an elaborate dinner. Ingrid and Debbie are so nice. They keep me coming back every few days whether I need to or not. Ha ha Great traditional tuna salad that is $7.99/1/2 Lb which is expensive but worth it!! I'm addicted to their gazpacho and vichyssoise which are a good balance and very healthy and gluten free. You know how important that is to me! They have shrimp on occasion that are marinated in a light sauce with cilantro and lime. I have tried their salmon which is also delicious and healthy. They have frozen soups which are great to stock up on. It is conveniently located on Wall Street next to Seaholm Liquor store about 1 block from Stop and Shop market. Im not a fan usually of posting reviews. Unless it is a 5 Star experience. But on this rating I really felt like I had to post. I ordered 5 quarts of Lobster bisque for my gathering christmas day. I figured it would save me a lot of time to make the rest of the meals I was serving. The Lobster bisque was so incredibly salty. And I do mean SALTY. As I took the second table spoon during our seating I informed my guests that they did not have to eat it, and I apologized to my guests. Nobody ate it! It was that salty. Saltier than sea water. Very disappointing. I don't understand how this was not even tasted by the cook. Everyone who ordered this Christmas 2018 must have also had the same experience. I was a first time customer. I cant compare this with other visits. However this soup received a major major FAILURE! read more

Top of the line catering. I've been to a few events now catered by this place and all have been top notch. From soup to nuts, they will come to where ever you are having your affair, bring an entire boatload of what is needed - chairs, flooring, tents, bars, servers - whatever; set it all up, cook it, serve and in the end take it all away. Never catered from here but I do go into their shop often for breakfast or lunch! They make my favorite acai bowl on long island, with peanut butter on top, a nice touch. The italian sub called the god father is delicious and HUGE! The tuna here is also very tasty. They have a large selection of pre made foods as well. My wife was visiting the area yesterday so I said great pick up some sandwiches from "the culinary". We'll was I disappointed when she got home. The 2 "godfather" sandwiches were a joke. They basically had one slice of the 4-5 meats/cheese on it. If it weighed 4 oz total with the bread that was a lot. To charge $9.99 for such a sandwich was highway robbery. The other sandwich was more of the same. If your gonna charge $10 for a sandwich put some meat on it. Very disappointed will never go back there again!!! We had an event at our place for about 35 people. As we were looking for places that would cater, we decided to stop here and talk to them about the services they provide. We are quite familiar with the location as we constantly go to Seaholm Wines (review available) to stack up on wine and supplies. I walked in and spoke to Mary. I explained to her our plans. She was very helpful! She assisted me in putting the menu for my event together. She explained to me all details of the food menu for the party and even did variations of what was in the catering menu to accommodate our needs. Besides the food, they provide juices for the mixers, ice, bartender and the servers. The staff arrived 30 minutes before the arrival of our guests. (They usually ask for 1 hour but we requested for 30 mins). They went to work immediately. The staff was very nice and professional. When guests arrived, appetizers were immediately passed and the bartender offered drinks. They were constantly ensuring that all guests had enough food and drinks. At the end of the party and when guests departed, they stayed for a while longer helping clean up the dishes and area. Plenty of leftover food was nicely packed for us and placed in the refrigerator. This is a place I highly recommend for all of your catering needs. As Franco C. said, a little pricey but it is worth every penny. Service is fantastic and food is delicious. I had to move my son's wedding venue planned for this weekend to our backyard, and had less than a month to do it. Mary, the owner, was so helpful throughout the whole process and she was always there to answer what ever questions I had. She also checked my whole rental equipment list numerous times from another vendor to make sure we had everything we needed ( tables, linens, flat wear, bar ware, etc, ) and coordinated with them directly. She came to my house the week before to do a thorough run thru with her head manager who would be there to coordinate the event with serving staff the day of. The day of the wedding the whole team arrived and did everything, from set up, to clean up. The servers were so professional and wonderful to work with. The cocktail hour appetizers, and all the food was delicious. My guests were quite complimentary as well. I am so impressed with Culinary Studio, they really saved me. There are truly no words to express how amazing Mary, Justin and their entire staff are. I first spoke to Mary in early 2021 about my October 2022 wedding and from the first conversation I knew we'd be in good hands. From working to rearrange everything in less than 2 days due to a rainy forecast to the absolutely unmatched service and food, everything was absolutely perfect. I was so stressed about having to change things on such short notice and Mary answered every call and email to answer my questions and help work things out. The team truly runs like a well-oiled machine. Our guests were raving about the food all night and so many of them said it was the best (and most) food they've ever had at a wedding and we couldn't agree more. We were eating leftovers for a full week after. The day-of manager Rosalie is INCREDIBLE. My husband and I didn't even have to go up to the bar once and we always had enough water, food, and drinks. She even helped us get the cake cutting out of the way early so we could enjoy the party. The Culinary Studio catered my sons Engagement Party for 95 people here at our house this past weekend. The food and sercvice were outstanding! We did a cocktail party with Hors d"Oeuvres passed butler style. Each and every one of the 15 choices was elegantly presented, high end and delicious. We had six staff people including two bartenders, 3 waitresses and a chef in the kitchen and everything went perfectly smoothly. Guests were complimenting the food all night. OUSTANDING! The Culinary Studio catered our wedding this past weekend in our backyard (77 guests) and there are no words to describe their level of excellence. The appetizers were incredible (or so I heard - why is it the bride never eats the appetizers!?) and it just got better from there. They served barbecued chicken, steak and swordfish along with a myriad of salads and sides that VASTLY exceeded our expectations. Every guest told us they'd never had such delicious food at a wedding! Their staff (cooks, servers, bartenders and catering manager) were all friendly, crazy helpful and so unobtrusive that you almost didn't know they were there. My mom threw my baby shower at her home this past weekend. During the planning process we reached out to the world of Facebook for recommendations. We heard the culinary studio mentioned multiple times so we went with them. We are so glad we did. The food was incredible. The staff was perfect and not overbearing at all. They maybe had one or two questions for us at the beginning and then let my mom and I just enjoy the party. Everyone raved about the quality of the food, and they were right, it was delicious. I dont know where these 4 star ratings come from but I will not be back. I always do most of my sides but this year with so much going on, selling house, moving to new one, so on and so on, I thought i would make little easier by ordering some sides for thanksgiving. The order couldnt have been any more simple. Brussel sprouts, candy yams. I was told to pick them up thanksgiving eve, and so the nightmare begins. they take my ticket with some strange way of handling the orders made things worse then they they shoild have been. Frist they rung up and then handed me someone order not even close to my name. Then they went back to get my order and handed me rolls and gravy. This is going on while everyone else On line was having about the some issues. He had already charged me for the frist bag he gave me then wanted my card again. I said you cant charge me again how much did you put on my card already. With this one of the ladies behind the counter start trying to figure it out on her phone. I finally said tell me the price of the order you charged me and the price of this one and we will either in add or subtract its simple math. $13 extra I walked out. The brussels sprouts and yams taste the same way, only you needed teeth like a horse to chew the brussel sprouts and no matter how much extra this or that I added they were still tasteless and like biting into golf balls. So 1sr thing thanksgiving morning I got up ran down to southdown market and thank God I got there brussel sprouts which were great, there candy yams and added to the other ones to give it flavor, and made it though the day. PS my family owns deli's in grand central station and Penn, grew up in the buss. I have never seen anything so not the left hand knowing what the right is doing. it really isnt that hard, try feeding thousand in the city during the thanksgiving parade did it since I was 16. someone in this place needs to come up with a new system before christmas. read more

The food was fabulous, from hors d'oeuvres to dessert and the staff was beyond helpful. Mary and Justin were professional and easy to work with. If I could give them 100 stars I would!! We used the Culinary Studio to cater our wedding and people are still talking about how great the staff and the food was! Our wedding was well over 100 people and Mary, Justin and the entire staff did an amazing job! From the first time we sat down with Mary, to the food tasting (which I have a lot of food allergies and I ate like a Queen), to the day of the big event they helped us and took care of every little detail. The day of they were all phenomenal, they helped me with all the last minute details and when our wedding cake arrived an hour before the start of our wedding it was not at all what we had wanted and I was about to burst into tears when Mary and Rosealie sprang into action! They asked me what I wanted it to look like and they took some of the extra fresh flowers we had and when I came back into the room the cake looked exactly as we had wanted it to. I did not think they were pricey and like I said the food was beyond delicious and there was a ton of it!! They packed all the extra food up very nicely for us and at the end of the wedding they broke everything down and placed it neatly in a pile for the rental company to pick up the next day. Our wedding was long, 7 hours to be exact and they came an hour early to finish setting up and let me tell you everyone on their staff including Justin and Mary were just as pleasurable and helpful as when they started. We needed a caterer for our daughters bridal shower. We live in huntington area and decided to shop locally a friend recommended we try culinary studio. From the moment I walked in I new this was the place for us. I liked the way I was treated, friendly , personal, knowledgable and great food choices. One stop shopping, linens, tables, tents and superb tasting food. The day of the shower they were setting kitchen, flowers, tables, chairs , linen and any task I needed help completing. Servers and service were impeccable. And then came the delicious eye pleasing food that drew complements and accolades from each and everyone of my guests. My family has gone to Culinary Studio for many years to pick up dinner and lunch and when it came time to get married we knew exactly who to go to. After all, it is all about being a great host and this place has the BEST food in NY. The day went great and the team couldn't have been more attentive and friendly to both us and our guests. Rosalie checked on myself and my family constantly, making sure we were being taken care of. During cocktail hour, servers were everywhere, literally everywhere, serving up everything from delicious Lobster Rolls to Chicken Sate with Peanut Butter Sauce and so much more. Guests were running up to me left and right raving about the hors d'oeuvres and saying they have never tried so much great food in just one hour. Guests then were welcomed into the reception with a plated salad topped with CS famous Golden Beets. Again, guests were raving. Dinner was then served family style, something so unique and beautiful: Lobster tail, Steak and two sides. I needed a caterer for a memorial service party. My daughters and I used to go to the Culinary Studio while they were in High School all of the time, when we wanted unique and delicious food. So of course I decided that I needed to put the Culinary Studio on my list of possible choices. It quickly became clear by the choices, value and responsiveness that the Culinary Studio was going to win the beauty contest. I have so say that everything went perfectly and everyone at the event commented on the quality and variety of the food. My only disappointment was that there wasn't enough leftovers to feed me for the rest of the week. And this is not to say that anyone didn't get enough, we did. I just loved the food. Had a bridal shower in my backyard for 45 ppl and culinary studio was wonderful! The food was great, the servers helpful and unobtrusive. They make an amazing chick pea dip that everyone was raving about and the coleslaw is to die for. Everything was easy, easy and quite wonderful. And then best of all, they cleaned up and disappeared. Mary and the Culinary Studio were absolutely wonderful! They catered my daughter's wedding for over a hundred, family style, outdoors in a tent - clearly not the easiest of working conditions, but it went flawlessly. The setup was not easy, because we had collected our own china, wineglasses, lanterns and tablecloths, plus made the centerpieces - but Mary was great at putting it all together.The seared tuna was better than any I have had in any restaurant. Our wedding was in May, and we had met with Mary & Justin sometime in December. For the months between our first meeting, and the wedding, I cannot say enough positive things about how easy it was to communicate with them. Any questions or concerns I had, they would talk me through it and provide the help or guidance I needed. At the time we did not have a vendor to supply us with tents, tables, chairs, etc. I gave The Culinary Studio a call and Mary went out and got me a quote from a vendor for us. Some of our family needed to have special dishes, due to health reasons, and those guests were served special dishes. Throughout the whole process I could count on and trust Mary and Justin to tend to our needs as well as ease our minds when things got a little hectic. On the day of the wedding the staff helped put together the center pieces, as we were rushing to get everything done, and made sure that everything was perfectly set up. The staff was very attentive throughout the whole day, and honestly were just a joy to have. Everything went so smooth, and after all was over; both sides of the family had nothing but great things to say about the food and the service. Thank you for everything Mary and Justin! You made our day a memorable one, and kudos to your staff as they were nothing short of amazing.
