    Loved it!!

Every summer I go on a hunt for the best lobster roll. I like to try new places since my go to place decided to change their recipe. This is my third lobster roll this summer, and this the best one of the season for sure. It is pure perfection. This is a small nook outdoor restaurant in on the bay of Islip. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Honestly loved the vibes and overall atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friend always says I find the best lobster rolls. Try it for yourself, you won't regret it. Please don't change your recipe!!

I feel anytime Al fresco is the call to order- how can you go wrong? Outdoor, patio dining. No table Service aside from the delivery of your order to the table. Lots of fried items and priced some what on the high end for burgers n fries (which btw- sign says choice of potato which means; regular fries, waffle fries, sweet potato fries or onion rings) There is a grilled chicken sandwich if you want to move away from the fried category. Limited Beer, wine and tropical Drinks. Slice of watermelon for $3.50 . For 2 crispy chicken platters, 1grilled chicken platter and Straight up Turkey burger-no fries-3 waters and a Sauvignon Blanc.... $98. And they forget the pickles on all platters. . However, nice sunset, bay breeze and good company.

I felt like I was on vacation. The summer crisp early summer breeze combined with the playlist of incredible beach music made the atmosphere wonderful. For a while I forgot I was in NY. The restaurant is not hard to find . The space is limited . Unless you plan on picking up something and walking near by. I must say this is not the most scenic beach. So when you look out with the feeling of vacation and you don't see blue waves , it's kind of a let down. But that's no reflection on the restaurant. My husband and stumbled on this place and we really enjoyed ourselves. We loved the atmosphere . The service was quick and friendly . The food came out promptly. We didn't really order a large meal. Just a hotdog , coconut shrimp and drinks. Now about the taste of the food . Ok, that's why I have the place four stars. I would say the coconut shrimp was not the best. It lacked a certain jovial coconut taste . The fries were pretty standards . The Prosecco was just on the verge of alright . If the food was better , I think this place would have got the five stars. Although I may not order food but just a white claw. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Come here for an awesome view and vibe! We got there at 530 and it was just getting busy by 630 the place was packed!! The food is good- great salad and po boy. The prices are high. They have seating down below as well on the beach which I wish Id had known. Also the sign to get in says residents only but no one was there checking. Not sure if that is true for day time.

Came here after seeing a sign on Main Street in Islip. I've been looking for a good outdoor restaurant that serves good drinks. What better than on the Great South Bay? This place is right on Islip Beach. I was lucky enough to not have to show an Islip ID because I said I was here for the restaurant but I'm not sure what the normal policy is. I ordered the caprese salad and a piña colada. First off, I'm super picky about my piña coladas. This one was BANGIN. Super creamy. Super yummy. And NOT MADE FROM A PRE-MADE MIX!!!!! The caprese salad was HUGE, presented beautifully, smelled delicious and was AMAZING. Can't wait to come back Monday night for dinner with my mom to hear the live music!!!!

Great food and lovely ambience. This place is right on the water and is the perfect for a quick bite and/or a nice cold drink! Sal, the owner, is absolutely a gem. He greets each customer individually and makes sure everyone is okay. Thanks them for their patronage and makes sure to introduce himself to first time customers. He makes you feel like you're coming over to your family's place for dinner. It's absolutely wonderful. The prices are extremely affordable for any restaurant but especially since it's a beach front restaurant. There's enough beach to let the kids play, have fun, while you watch them and relax. This really is a lovely restaurant tucked away in the heart of Islip. Two thumbs way up.

The…read moreconcept is fantastic: the menu changes regularly to highlight a different state, and during my visit it was Georgia week. The food was outstanding from start to finish. The Vidalia onion soup was honestly the best onion soup I've ever had, and I'm a huge onion soup fan. The crab cake bites were among the best crab cakes I've had anywhere, which is saying a lot because I've spent years searching for great crab cakes. I also loved the maple bacon mac and cheese, which struck a perfect balance between sweet and savory. My daughter enjoyed the Georgia wings and sweet potato fries with a marshmallow dipping sauce. Everything was packed with flavor. The cocktails were equally impressive. I had the Georgia-themed Old Fashioned, while my daughter tried the Guy Fieri-inspired Georgia margarita. Both were creative, well-balanced, and memorable. As a mobility disabled person, accessibility is always important to me, and Roadtrip did very well. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant with an accessible route to the entrance. Inside, the aisles are wide, the seating is flexible with movable chairs, and the restroom is fully accessible. The only thing keeping it from a perfect accessibility score is the lack of automatic doors. Food: 11/10 Cocktails: 10/10 Accessibility: 9/10 Roadtrip Bayshore earns my highest recommendation. Great food, great drinks, a fun and unique concept, and accessibility done right.

I had the opportunity to check out Roadtrip with a friend on a weeknight. The premise of the…read morerestaurant is that every week they highlight a different U.S. state, creating entrées, appetizers and drinks that showcase the selected state's leading agricultural industries and cuisine the state is known for. The menu and food were excellent, there's truly something for everyone. We opted for the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer, and our entrees were the Brisket Horseradish Stack and the Blue Summit Burger. The service was great - the wait staff, attentive. What unfortunately has left a lasting impression and may be the reason I don't go back is they're okay, and likely encourage (based on their IG) content creators to visit. I understand in this day and age, exposure means everything. Getting a viral video could mean the definition of sink or swim in a competitive industry. What's not okay is having content creators with their bright lights blinding the patrons next to them. Having a bright camera light shone in our faces several times through our dinner soured the experience. I hope in the future the staff, and the owner (who was there), are more conscious of the dining experience for others.

Our server appeared to be new, but she was incredibly patient, friendly, and genuinely trying her best. She handled every question with kindness, and I truly appreciated her attitude throughout the meal. The manager also made a great first impression by greeting us shortly after we were seated and even taking our drink order himself. At that point, I honestly thought we were in for a great experience. Unfortunately, things slowly began to unravel. A few items I ordered to accompany one of our pizzas didn't come out with the pizza itself, so by the time everything finally arrived, the pizza had gone cold. While frustrating, mistakes happen, and I didn't make an issue out of it. The bigger misunderstanding involved another pizza I ordered. I was trying to order a white Grandma pie after seeing a calzone listed with the option to make it on a Grandma crust. When it arrived, it had red sauce. The manager explained that the menu description included "Grandma sauce," which referred to red sauce. I hadn't realized that, and once he explained it, I understood where the misunderstanding came from. To his credit, he immediately offered to remake the pizza, which I appreciated. At that point, I considered the issue resolved. Unfortunately, the conversation didn't end there. While discussing the original pizza, the manager explained that it had ricotta cheese on it. My initial reaction was that I hadn't noticed any ricotta, but after he explained it, I acknowledged that perhaps I had simply missed it. From my perspective, the misunderstanding had been cleared up and the conversation was over. Instead, he looked at me and said: "Maybe you don't know the difference between mozzarella and ricotta cheese." That comment completely changed the experience. There is a big difference between explaining a menu item and making a personal remark toward a customer. By that point, I wasn't arguing. I wasn't asking for anything additional. I had already accepted the explanation and acknowledged that perhaps I had simply missed the ricotta. Rather than leaving it there, the conversation became increasingly confrontational. When I explained that I found the comment disrespectful, instead of trying to de-escalate the situation, the manager continued defending it by insisting that I had argued earlier. At that point, the discussion was no longer about the pizza... it had become an unnecessary debate with a customer who had already accepted the explanation. That was the moment we decided to leave. Mistakes happen. Orders get mixed up. Menu descriptions can create misunderstandings. None of those things determine whether I return to a restaurant. What determines that is how those situations are handled. A manager sets the tone for the entire restaurant. Their responsibility isn't just to resolve problems... it's to make guests feel heard, respected, and welcome, even when there's a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, that's where this experience fell apart. The food has always been good, which is why I've returned in the past. What I'll remember from this visit isn't the pizza or the misunderstanding over the menu. It's being spoken to in a way that felt dismissive and belittling after I had already accepted the explanation. Hospitality isn't measured by how a restaurant performs when everything goes perfectly. It's measured by how it treats people when something doesn't. Unfortunately, that's the lasting impression this visit left with me.

Served with the harissa aioli it made for a nice app. After a while I decided to try the Filet mignon sliders, which I ordered medium rare, the bartender said they don't usually take a temp on those but he'd note it. The meat is sliced very thin but was tender and still had a bit of red. The arugula gave it a nice peppery bite. My only critic is the slider roll was very cottony, but the overall taste was very good. I'll definitely be back and will try something off the regular menu.
