The food was fine, I wouldn't say it was amazing, but if I had to eat there again, I would. We got a combination of a burger, a steak dip sandwich, the lobster roll and Poké bowl. Would eat here again, I'm sure there's other great options that would be less expensive.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Le Dock in Fair Harbor on Fire Island. Between the…read morefood, service, and atmosphere, it was easily one of the highlights of our time on Fire Island and definitely a place we'll be returning to. We started with the mozzarella sticks, and I'm not exaggerating when I say they were the best mozzarella sticks we have ever had. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, hot and gooey inside, and just on another level compared to what you normally expect when ordering mozzarella sticks. We were talking about them for the rest of the meal! For dinner, my wife had the Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp, and really well done. I ordered the vodka chicken parm, and it was outstanding. The chicken was tender with a great crispy coating, and the vodka sauce took a traditional chicken parm and made it something a little different and special. It was a great portion and exactly the kind of meal you want after spending the day on Fire Island. The service was excellent from beginning to end. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome without ever making the meal feel rushed. And then there's the atmosphere. Le Dock really captures what makes dining on Fire Island special. It has that relaxed island feeling while still feeling like you're having a great night out. The setting and overall vibe made an already great meal even better. Great food, great service, and an amazing atmosphere. And seriously -- get the mozzarella sticks. We'll be thinking about those until the next time we're back! Definitely a 5-star experience for us, and we can't wait to return.

The food is always good. The service however was terrible. Our waiter right from the beginning…read moreseemed like he couldn't care less about serving us. He took our order and didn't see him again at our table until it was time for the check. He walked by us at least 4 times and never asked how dinner was or if we needed anything else. We had to g to the bar to order more drinks. When he finally did come to the table I told him I thought his service was terrible and that we had to go to the bar to get drinks for two of the people at my table. He said his head wasn't into work because of a family issue. He walked away and still said nothing. Not even sorry or do we need anything else. With that the owner/manager Lance came over and asked what the issue was. I told him the same thing I said to the waiter. He said he was having a bad day and that the waiter left for the night which was not true because he continued to serve other tables. I feel this waiters attitude was due to the fact that there were 7 of us and the tip was automatically added to the bill so either way he was getting a tip. On my way out this waiter said to me in front of other customers and Lance " you don't need to ever come back here" Like it was my fault he didn't like his job. $586.00 for 7 hamburgers and 6 drinks and this kid had an attitude and tells me I don't have to come back? Some things don't need to be said. The bill would even been higher and a bigger tip if he had come back even once to ask if we wanted anything else. Was there twice before with no issues. It was a great place to sit outside, eat, drink and watch the sunsets.

Stopped here today for a late lunch with my boyfriend. Although I'd read more than a few so-so…read morereviews, this was the most packed out restaurant on Main Street so I thought I'd give it a shot anyway. Let me start by saying it wasn't a bad experience but it certainly didn't exceed my expectations. The food was good, but a bit bland in my opinion. My boyfriend ordered the L.A. chicken sandwich with fries which was pretty average. Tasted like a less rich version of a chicken parm to be honest. I ordered myself a cocktail (the Hugo Spritz) and one of their specials - the wild Montauk cod. The drink was just okay - menu said it was Prosecco with a splash of elderberry liquor and mint. Really tasted like a tall glass of Prosecco mixed with seltzer. The cod was a nice cut of fish but very bland. It was served baked and topped with crabmeat and a lemon butter sauce with sides of mashed potatoes and veggies. Even after adding salt and pepper I found myself wishing I'd ordered an extra side of sauce as it was the most flavorful thing on the plate. In addition to the bland food and drink, the wait time was unexpectedly long. I will say they were pretty busy when we arrived but we didn't have to wait for a table. They had a beautiful courtyard for outdoor dining. I popped inside to use the restroom and the bar was pretty packed with patrons watching the soccer game. Still, it did not explain the longer than usual wait times. I may give this spot one more try since I live in the area and saw some other yummy looking menu items but I really hope it's improvement to this visit.
