Last weekend we had a party of 70 guests including young children upstairs. From the planning to the actual party was effortless. Mattie, the event coordinator, quickly responded to my last minute requests and was helpful guiding us. They were able to include dishes that were both dairy-free and gluten free for our guests. First off, we went here thinking it was Captain Fishbones, a super casual, family place. We walked in with our toddler and immediately felt out of place since it was mostly singles. They have high chairs for the kids, but no kids menus, or kids cups. We probably would have walked out if not for our server, Michael who made us feel so welcome. He immediately asked our toddler her name and made us feel comfortable. He went out of his way to make chocolate milk for her in special cups he created. So awesome. Disappointed with the food. My seafood pie, was not a pie. You would expect a pie to have some kind of dough crust on top. What you get is seafood in a bowl in a broth. For an entree, you would expect a side or two, but no there was nothing else. For the price of the food here, there are much better restaurants around that provide real food entrees. My coworkers and I were here for dinner on a week night. The place was fairly empty so we were seated pretty quickly. The inside of the restaurant was your beach-side vibe. Our waitress was super nice and personable. My coworker and I shared some raw oysters. This was super tasty but then again, unless the oysters aren't fresh, it's kind of hard to mess up raw oysters. I also had their clam chowder. The chowder was forgettable and wasn't the best I had during my trip to Boston. It was more watery than I experience at other restaurants. We also split a lobster risotto and a scallop risotto. I forget which one had the truffle oil in it, but both were quite disappointing. You won't find much lobster in the risotto, but it'll fill you up because of the amount of risotto you get. I got a surprising amount of scallops (6), which is double what I usually get when I order a scallop dish, but the risotto in this one was very bland. We hosted a retirement party in their private room on a weekday afternoon. It was lovely all around. The space was great. The staff was excellent. The logistics were easy. Food was good. Price was very reasonable. The parking was trickier than I anticipated but that was partially due to one parking lot being blocked of for BPD training. I imagine on a typical day it would be fine. Just moved here from Texas and had to test out the seafood! Never had lobster so when I stumbled upon this place with my dad, we decided to go. We made reservations for 2 around 6:15 on a Saturday but it wasn't needed surprisingly. This place has a stunning view of the marina with both nice inside and outside seating. The staff was wonderful and inviting and created great conversation and helpful tips when I said I just moved here! When I say this stuffed lobster was the best thing I have ever had I wasn't kidding. It was so fresh, I am still dreaming about it! Amazing portion size for the price, combined with the view! I recently hosted a First Communion in the function room upstairs. Five stars all the way around. From Matison the event planner, to the spectacular views from the room, right down to the food, everything was excellen. Matison greeted us at the door and offered to help carry things up. The servers were polite, courteous and interactive with guests. Everything ran smooth and went off without a hitch thanks to Matison and the staff at this establishmenT. Came here with my gf to give this place a try since the food from the previous name was a fail. We started out with drinks (mojito and vodka/cranberry) Either bartender was new or never went to bartending school since the Mojito tasted like seltzer with lime and mint leaves nothing like a Mojito or even any alcohol while the Vodka/cran tasted like cran with maybe a hint of vodka. Don't waste your money just order beer. We ordered dozen oysters to try and received half shucked oysters. (Always had the oysters fully shucked at other establishment opening the oysters and then shucking bottom so customers can just slurp not use utensils to shuck it themselves) Oysters was average for $2 per you would think it would be a better quality. Smoke salmon bruschetta was good. I would order it again. If it wasn't for the beautiful scenery sitting outside I wouldn't even think about going back but I'll come back order something different and hopefully I'll give them more stars and definitely order beer or wine instead (can't mess that up) read more

The food is not good and the service is very unorganized. We got lobster rolls and the shrimp scampi and both were very dry and flavorless to say the least. However, the servers were very friendly despite the constant forgetfulness and frantic persona which was very noticeable and most likely due to high stress and tension that seemed to already be there before we arrived. We honestly felt bad seeing that they weren't having such a good day and tried to stay as lighthearted and patient as possible with them. Sadly our friendly encounter didn't justify the lack of quality on our plates that left us a few hundred dollars short after leaving. In other words, the price is outrageous for what you get but it's mostly because of the location... I will say that the view is beautiful outside in Marina Bay so that is definitely a positive. We were looking for a little something on the water for dinner. Been here before and it was decent. So...made reservations on Resy for 7, no problem. Get there a few minutes early to be told, sorry no tables are available, you'll have to wait 20 minutes...Um someone should review the concept of reservation with these folks. So we went to their outside deck bar (it was a bit chilly but the heaters were on out there, so not bad...Bartenders were underworked and could care less, they were too busy flirting with the waitresses. Horrible. Anyway finally the table is ready. Menu is a little more limited than I remember and all very Italian slanted although that's not how I remember it...anyway....Apps: Welfleet Oysters on the shell and a special Watermelon Feta Salad with Tempura Shrimp. Sat outside on Saturday 6/26 for some drinks and an app with the GF. First time in Marina Bay and I loved the vibes of the little tiki area so we were able to get two seats at the bar. It was really quiet and the waitress was nice and attentive although she forgot my drink at first....oh well it happens sometimes. Beautiful view and atmosphere. Steak and cheese spring rolls were a hit. GF got a tequila sunrise and I got a mule. Drinks we solid. It did get significantly busier as some parties from boats came and stopped by for drinks. Place was PACKED but bar staff did a good job managing the flow. Didn't feel forgotten about. Would like to check out the more formal dining menu for lunch or dinner one of these days for a more full review. I will definitely check them out again next time I'm in the area. read more

Absolute horrible Mother's Day Experience. Made reservations online, nowhere did it say it was a buffet only Mother's Day, which would have been fine but it felt like a trick to get people to spend $35 a plate on what did not look like much of a spread in a small side room. Unfortunately we never got a chance to eat anything as once we were seated and our waitress poured some coffee, she disappeared for about 15mins. We were left without any cream or sugar. Before we were suprised by the buffet only option we were given menus, but the menus were for lunch and dinner so when our waitress finally came back we asked about the breakfast menu and were told, "I think its buffet only, I'll go double check with the kitchen". We asked for some cream and sugar, she disappeared another 5+ minutes and only came back with sugar then confirmed it was only buffet brunch. I asked why we were even given menus and if I could order off the menu (lunch/dinner items), and she said she'd double check. Tables around us started leaving by this point and others were walking up to complain about the service they were receiving. The restaurant just opened at 10am and our reservation was 10:15 so there really were not many people even in the place yet. The hostess was walking by and we asked for the cream for the coffee which she went to get, she came back and we all realized that we didn't have spoons to stir the coffee anyways. Our waitress finally returned and apologized that the kitchen is not doing anything from the menu at all (The hostess was still sitting other tables with menus). We expressed our dissatisfaction with how everything was going and how we felt misled from the start, the waitress then got snippy with another apology and said she'd get the manager then walked away. The hostess came back, which may have also been the manager? I have no clue at this point but she told us the kitchen is too backed up to do anything else but the buffet. The coffee was cold and everything was so unorganized and frustrating that we decided to cut our losses and just leave. Luckily we walked over to Port 305, we were able to get a table because another party cancelled and we enjoyed their buffet which was $5 less and delicious! Can't wait to write a great review for Port 305 saving Mother's Day and we will never step foot in Victory Point Bar Grill again. read more

One of the worst places I've been in a long time! Was served moldy bread, that I didn't notice right away, so the kids were eating it. All I got is "sorry" from a manager. And it's not a very cheap place to eat. French toast seemed like it was frozen and reheated in a microwave. Rubbery and stale. Burger was well done instead of medium. Staff was friendly, but lost two of 8 orders, so people had to wait until their food was cooked after everyone else was served. These kind of restaurants shouldn't exist. Our nonprofit's annual fundraiser was hosted this year at Break Rock Brewing at Marina Bay. Victory Point catered our food--a delicious selection of appetizers, "finger food" style, along with Sicilian Pizza from Boardwalk Pizza. The space was beautiful with a great view, and perfect private room upstairs for the function. Many attendees went out of their way to mention the great food and service, which I couldn't agree with more. We had such a good time that a small group of us went down to the patio afterwards to continue the night.
