Very shabby job with gel nails. They are probably a little cheaper then the others around but the job done is not at all satisfactory. Maybe I was unlucky with the wrong nail tech and didn't get the one everyone has been talking about. The pic I uploaded is day 3 post my manicure and it already looks outgrown considering the gap! The table I was sitting at wasn't clean at all and had nails from previous customers which I noticed much later- around the time the polish was already applied. I didn't cut my nails so it certainly can't be mine and I just asked them to file. Not going there again as I'll end up getting my next manicure way before time as I'm not at all satisfied. read more

I've been going to Vicky Nails for about 5 years now and have never been disappointed with my mani & pedi's. Vicky & Louie, as well as the rest of the staff are very kind and welcoming. A couple of years ago, after running a marathon, one of my big toe nails came off, and the rest of my toe nails were bruised. I was a little embarrassed walking in there. But Louie took care of that; all of my toe nails looked as good as new! I was amazed and gained a higher level of respect for what they do! I just finished an appointment with them today and can't stop looking at my nails and feeling how cleansmooth they are! LOL read more

$17 for a gel polish change. I picked a color and when it was put on my nails, was not the same color as I picked. After two coats of that I told her I didn't want the color on my nails since it's not what I picked out in the first place... So she put a new color on top of all that. Overall, my nails turned out uneven with gel polish on my skin. I would not recommend!!! read more

I thought I built a rapport with the owner I think it's unprofessional that everytime you get up to wash your hands they take someone sitting down next to you but I was cool with it. They didn't have the blue I wanted to I had got up to get another one. I asked for matte nails and he knows the coffin shape I like but he had already painted the blue and instead of him taking off the nail polish to shape them correctly I was being punished with every stroke as je sanded it down with a file and after that I think he knew and stopped caring about the skin on my nails when I showed him that he broke blood in my skin he went to add nail glue on it.. I pulled away and he asked what he wanted me to do! I said nothing I was so appalled that he was willing to burn my skin more on an open wound ! Mind you I've gotten fungus on 2 nails before and still came back to give a second chance ! read more

I was here last week for a Mani-Pedi & I am sad to write this review today. That's because the guy who did my nails looked like a genuinely nice guy & probably has some health concerns too, but unfortunately his work & time management were not impressive. Time management: I specifically asked when I walked in as well as through out the service time, if both my Mani-Pedi can be finished in an hour. But it went over by 27mins. I was supposed to pickup both my kids, but had to ask my husband to pickup one of them, still ended up running late to pickup my other son from school. My husband also didnt have enough time to comeby unexpectedly & we had to pay overtime upto $20 extra for both our kids because of the ridiculous amount of time this nail technician took. Poor quality of work: Despite all these, did I atleaat get good service? NO! I asked for a flower design on my toe nails & ring fingers. He did my toe nails first & even after almost 40mins of service, after which I HAD to wear my close toe shoes to go inside my son's school & pick him up, my polish did not dry up sufficiently well & is all messed up. Coming to my ring fingers, the guy was unable to make the flower design even after redoing it 3 times, which I didnt ask for...he himself wanted to get closer to perfection. I appreciate that, but was it worth taking up all my time? NO! . He was having a panic attack probably due to time...I swear I tried to be nice to him, consoled him & tried to calm him down. I said he doesnt have to redo it, but he still did it anyways. But the design still ended up being bunch of dots & no where closer to flower shape. read more

I drive from Phoenix to Chandler every 2-3 weeks for Louie to do my nails and a pedicure from Holly. Tried several salons in my area but none compare to the service and fare pricing as Vicky nails. In the 10+ years I've been having my nails done with them I've never had any complaints. It's worth the drive!! read more

I adore this small nail salon, yea it's not a fancy nail lounge in Scottsdale but they're friendly, genuine and hard-working! I've gone in about 4 times recently and every time I show up they ask how my pregnancy is and make small talk when they don't need to. The rudest moment I've witnessed there is Another customer on SPEAKER PHONE with her Verizon provider walking her through how to use her mobile hot spot on her sons phone. Like, come on! My friends and family have been coming to Vicky's for many years for nail services as well as eyebrow waxing. I think the issue with the bad reviews is due to poor communication or lack there of on the part of the customer. If you haven't been to Vicky's before it might be important to know in communicating your needs, English is not the first language of the technicians. That being said, have patience and foresight to ensure that you are understood. We have never had a bad experience, the prices are competitive, they have an abundance of high quality polish, but feel free to bring in your own. The technicians are incredible artists, they never push for services you don't want. If you are coming in to get your eyebrows waxed they are very skilled and the price can not be beat. Once again I would like to say give Vicky's a try, they really are a great place. read more

Took my wife, mother and daughter for a pedicure. It was so uncomfortable because their air conditioning was either broken or off. Please call beforehand to check if their air conditioner is working. It's currently 103 degrees outside and probably about 90 degrees inside this building. read more

This place is good priced, given the two stars; however, you get what you pay for. The man who did my nails was so rude and kept making off comments. he told me my feet were small, stared at them for a little before he did anything, and continued to make odd comments about them. When he moved to my hands, he asked me if i bite my nails and when i replied no, he said "then why are your nails so ugly and messed up?" i was so surprised that he would say that. i dont know his name, but his hair was way overly jelled. if you're on a budget and want your nails done, it's great. but do not expect quick service or even a great job being done. Went in on Friday and got a full set. It took the tech 2 hrs to do just my finger nails. I ended up just having to take the polish off when i got home because one nail was painted so horribly. Most of the nails are crooked and two of them are already lifting. Mind you its been 3 days since I've gotten them done. Tonight one of my nails fell off. I have never had such terrible quality. I was a customer for at least the last two years however in the last few months the service has derailed for the worst. Most of the times I get my nails n pedi, I bring my daughters so I drop a good expense and give a decent tip. Starting from the lack of proper nail art to being rushed and doing half ass work on my nails. It's becom a poor experience! Yesterday when getting our nails done after my daughter (17) spoke up to say the guy doing her nails had refused to do oval shape. I had to ask a few times to make sure he was going to do the shape she had asked.... He told her he didn't have time for oval?!?! Excuse me? We are paid customers and expect to get what we asked and to tell my daughter no you don't have time?!? Its ridiculous! Glad my daughter spoke up! To add to this BS he also questioned my daughter to why she told me...which made her feel uncomfortable! Wish I knew this while I was there! Last time we use this place!
