Turns out the delivery driver put it by the door, but failed to knock on the door, text, call or anything to let us know it had been delivered. That being said the pizza was still wonderful. I was pretty pleased with Via 313! I don't know that I've had Detroit style pizza before - it was good! It took a little while for our server to greet us, and the hostesses were pretty short/snobby. But - once our server helped us out, he was fantastic. My wife and I shared "The 500" which includes Pepperoni, Jalapeno, and Pineapple Rings. Our server recommended the "hot honey" drizzle on top. Food: Not a salad person and I shared the Arugula Salad. Wow. Flavors galore! Love the salad dressing. Orange zest and subtle sweet flavors with the peppery Arugula was spot on balanced flavors and yummilicous. Ordered a Detroit style pizza with Bobo Brazilian Mikes Hot Honey and Classic Pepperoni on the small 4 slice and pizzas were amazing. Mike Hot Honey was savory, sweet with subtle heat. Loved it. My husband and I used to go to their food truck in Austin and the restaurant is every bit as tasty! Wasn't too impressed. The cheese bread appetizer took 15 minutes to come out, and because we were starving we ate it within 5. It was pretty good, but it's hard to mess up cheese on bread with a cup of marinara. The pizza took even longer, and while I did finish mine, I wasn't necessarily happy to do so. It had pretty good flavor, but it felt very dense and had too much going on. I get that it's Detroit style and is supposed to be thick, but it made it difficult to eat and was kind of overwhelming with not a lot of class. Like the cheese bread, it's hard to mess up when you cover some crusty dough in cheese, sauce and veggies. I wish they showed a little more restraint. The vegan cheese was pretty bad (as it almost always is) and the thin crust on the standard style pizza was shameful. Not crispy at all, not a lot of flavor, and the texture of that fake cheese... *shivers* I might try it again but the high price will likely keep me away for a while. I came here with some friends and we shared pizzas and appetizers. It worked out pretty well this way. The inside is pretty cool and has a pretty cool vibe to the place and seating! The table we sat at was a concrete table top bar and was cool to be sitting there. Allbe, our server was great and super friendly. He smiled, was personable, offered good suggestions and described the flavors well. He was patient and great at keeping our drinks full. We shared almost all of the appetizers. Done where better than others. The cheesy bread was good but greasy. The marinara sauce they came with was good but there wasn't really anything impressive with the cheesy bread. Maybe a bit more seasoning? The roasted artichokes was pretty good as well but I think it would have been better with soft bread slices rather than the crispy thin slices. The roasted broccoli and cauliflower was by far the best out of the three we tried. The roasted flavor combined with the balsamic dressing is so delicious. We heard that if you add bacon and Alfredo or cheesy it's even better but I feel that would detract from the healthy feel of the vegetables. I got the Ambassador and Cadillac style pizzas. The Ambassador was pretty good and the cheese certainly made it more creamy in texture. I think if you add jalapeños to this one it would be better. The Cadillac was perfectly amazing! It was sweet and savory in the most meticulously balanced way. Every topping worked splendidly well with this pizza. I will totally get this one again and again when coming here. The only complaint I have is the price is quite a bit. Don't get me wrong, the food is great and 4 slices is more than enough. But about $30 for a large seems like it could have been a delivery to my house lol. read more

I've never had Detroit-style pizza before, and honestly I was a little skeptical. But WOW was I surprised! Everything about this pizza was amazing. VIA 313 was the perfect finale to a perfect day. My wife and I were invited to the private VIP event held this evening. From the staff's warm welcome to the opportunity to meet VIA 313 masterminds Brandon Hunt and Zane Hunt, we had an amazing experience. Brandon and Zane truly love what they do and you can tell that when you eat their food. I was very excited to try some mind-blowing Detroit-style pizza and I have to tell you guys, it was fantastic. We started our meal with some drinks. My wife had the strawberry Daiquiri while I had a fresh mango lemonade. By the way, the lemonade is fresh, none of that fake stuff you get from other places. We also had the opportunity to try the strawberry lemonade, and later we got a coke when our pizza arrived. For our starter we had the meatballs. They were soft, the marinara sauce was fresh and delicious and it came with some delicious thin pieces of toast that reminded me of a crostini. I ordered 'The Ambassador Bridge' for my entree. It was hands down the best Detroit pizza I've ever had in my life and it made me an instant fan! This delicious pizza had Sausage, Natural Casing Pepperoni, Fresh Garlic, Italian Oregano, and House-Made Ricotta. This flavor bomb was crunchy, moist, and juicy all at the same time. For our grand finale, we had the Detroit Style cinnamon sticks. Mix Detroit style dough, baked with Cinnamon and Raw Sugar, topped with House-Made Cream Cheese Icing and we got ourselves a recipe for an innovative and successful dessert. I love pizza even though I'm lactose intolerant. As soon as I heard this was a deep dish place I knew I had to go. Came on a Thursday evening it was pretty busy and loud. The vibe is casual and upbeat. Cheese bread was, on the thinner side but tastes great and marina sauce is warmed up. The pizza itself was awesome. Great taste nice crunch on the edges and the pepperoni had a good taste, not too doughy but not too thin. Finally the cinnamon sticks, thin like the cheese bread, but still good. However I didn't pay for these since I had a coupon and I don't think I'd order them next time. They also have gluten free options and lactose free cheese! This is what solidified their 4 stars. Final verdict: Solid 4/5, I think people give 5 stars way too easily. This place would be better if it had wings as an appetizer, more customization on the pizza (extra charge is fine), and slight modification to cheese sticks and cinnamon sticks. read more

I was jazzed (cause I'm from Utah) when I saw they were taking over the Village Inn spot in Orem. My expectations were high as a fan from a distance and on Instagram. They not only met my expectations but exceeded them! Got the bar style 4 cheese for the kiddo and we all ended up loving it and then the main event came: the thick crust, crispy edge, Detroit style pizza. We got the half Bobo Brazil and the Bridge. P-H-E-N-O-M-E-N-A-L! The Bobo Brazil was our favorite with the spicy sausage and hot honey. This is a dreamy slice of heaven. The arugula salad has pecans, red onions, and a peach vinaigrette. Slam dunk! Home run! Touchdown! Hole in one! And any other sports analogy for amazing you prefer. Had a friend break a shoulder skiing the next day and we took them dinner from VIA 313 and repeated our own meal from the night before. I think it was even better somehow. How dare you, Via 313. How dare you tempt us by bringing this classic Motor City treasure to our neck of the woods. Also, how dare you, readers, for not dropping what you are doing and immediately ordering some of the finest, most unique pizza in town. POSITIVES: Via 313's version of the classic Detroit-style pan pizza, in many ways, has outdone the pizzas that also attempt to pay homage. The most unforgettable part of the experience by far was the caramelized cheese that was baked to the edges of the crust. But every part of the pizza, the bread, the sauce, the toppings, etc. are high quality, and would score high marks even if tasted separately. The servers warned us of the time it may take to cook (30 min or more). So we decided to order an appetizer: the Roasted Artichokes. The crostini bread pieces were so flavorful. The goat cheese on top was surpringly great (I mistook it for ricotta at first, until I re-visited the menu later). If I'm completely honest, it tasted like pizza, but with artichokes in it. I'm thinking I'll go with the roasted veggies or something else next time for some variety. It was a little busy when we came, but we were seated immediately. We ordered the Original Pepperoni detroit pizza, and a Temptations bar-style pizza. Both were brought to us in under 20 minutes (on a Saturday lunch hour), faster than they originally estimated. For anyone considering getting the original pepperoni, pay the dollar extra for the Detroiter. After trying the natural casing pepperonis on our bar-style pizza, I regret that we overlooked the Detroiter option. Our server was great. He constantly checked on us to see if we enjoyed our food, and if everything was to our liking. For those with food allergies or other concerns, you'll be pleased to know that they offer dairy-free and gluten-free options. However, while they take precautions, they give a disclaimer that if you're severely allergic, their food isn't recommended. NEGATIVES: while I appreciate an environment that is casual, it was really difficult to identify who was an employee. Some wore name tags, others didn't. Some wore the Via 313 shirts, others didn't (or it was under an unbuttoned shirt). Casual or not, I think it's important that the employees are easily distinguished from other customers. PRICE: for 2 people, we spent around $50. That included 2 pizzas (w/o drinks), an appetizer, and tip. It is a bit steeper than other pizza joints, but with the quality and the quantity of leftovers, it made it well worth it. VERDICT: It's probably a good thing I live 30 minutes from this place, or I'd be fatter and more poor by the end of 2022. But I'll definitely be back for my self indulgence in the occasional future. read more

I AM OBSESSED!!! From the moment that we walked in, we loved everything about it! The servers were amazing, the ambiance is so fun!! We got sat down pretty quickly and we thought we got attended by a waiter pretty quickly too! But apparently they tend to be quicker because they felt we were waiting too long and gave us a root beer float at the end of our meal. Talk about amazing service! We ordered cheese bread for an appetizer and I could've probably have it for a meal! We got a Detroit style pizza, 8 squares, half The Bobo Brazil and half The Ambassador Bridge. Don't be scared by the "spicy honey" this is now probably my favorite pizza. Plus, it's not too spicy. They make their own ricotta cheese for the Ambassador Bridge, and this might be the only note that I have about Via313. Their ricotta is very soft and more "buttery" in texture. I wish it was a little bit stronger and denser, but it was still good. You just can't go wrong with their Detroit style pizza! Ok and last! You can request music for the background! We were blown away at how well they treated the kids. (Updates to add- we went back tonight and they did crayons and paper but none of the other stuff.
