Selected this place based on the 4 stars and the number of Yelp reviews however I was really disappointed with the Butternut Squash salad that I had which was drenched in vinaigrette and could not even detect the sweetness of the candied walnuts. In the end, I probably ate just a quarter of it and should have returned it but chose not to. Complimentary Bianca Bread with truffle oil was a nice touch. Ordered a combination mushroom, sausage and salami pizza which was just okay. I did reheat the leftover slices and had them the next day. Service was great but I do not recommend my salad. read more

Don't sleep on this place (like I did). Some of the best food in Utah county right here. We ordered a bunch of items off the menu and liked them all. Surprisingly, the pizza was at the bottom of the list--while still being great--but the one that was a 10/10 was the short rib. It falls apart, the horseradish is a great addition, and the polenta cake adds extra substance. Huge fan. Never take it off the menu. The service is also fantastic. I went on a Saturday afternoon (3 PMish) and there were only two tables occupied. I waited at the front for a bit while the table was prepared - it was a little perplexing as the table was clean and the plates were out. I think it was more because the hostess was in the middle of something. The wait truly was not long, but not the greatest start. It did take someone about 5 minutes to take our drink orders. I am pretty patient and understanding, but it was frustrating because the restaurant was near empty and there were more workers than guests (truly). When taking our order, the waitress informed us that pita and hummus were normally complimentary, but that they had ran out and when they had more, they would bring it out. None was ever brought out. It would not have been a big concern, except a table with new guests arrived and they were given some. Unto the food - we ordered the pepperoni pizza and the spaghetti and meatballs. The pizza had two types of cheese I believe - a mozzarella underneath and a sharper cheese on top - which crisped out too much. The pizza did reheat well and tasted better the second day. The spaghetti sauce was pretty boilerplate, but combined with the meatballs, it was pretty good. Overall, I do not think I will be returning. read more

Last night my wife and I snuck away for a quick dinner at P712. We are regulars there and yet they still don't recognize us. Oh well. :) Our server was friendly, charming, and funny. He took great care of us. He kept our Diet Cokes full and was really smart in the way that he communicated the menu and in how he served us. The ambiance is always nice with a great city feel. We ordered the Bianca Bread, Butter Blue salad, the beet appetizer, and the Brussels sprouts. All was delicious. The Brussels were my favorite with their slab bacon bits and creamy mustardy sauce. Finally, we ordered the sweet corn pizza for our entree. I'm not exaggerating when I say this was one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life. We substituted the ricotta cheese with mozzarella cheese and there may not have ever been a more delicious pizza. It also had Serrano peppers, sweet corn, and parmesan cheese on it. You can smell the oven from the parking Lot! The smokiness from the brick stone oven is just what you need to open up your appetite. We had a Salad caprese, Margherita pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. And although these might seem like your basic dishes, the flavors spoke for themselves! Very fresh! And great portions. Great friendly service. As a starter we tried the Baked Ricotta with bread and it was melt in your mouth delicious! Ordered the Hot Pink pizza with Hot Honey and pepper flakes. I thought it would be too spicy but it had the perfect balance of sweet and hot, so good! The pizza crust was thin and crispy, chewy, towards the edges . A bit overrated in my opinion. The inside of the restaurant sells that the food would be amazing, but I'm left wanting. My friend sold me on how amazing the pizza is here, and so I ordered their Serrano & sausage pizza. It was ready in a matter of minutes, as the restaurant was slow on a holiday weekend Saturday. The staff were super friendly and always smiling, which is a plus. I found it odd that the pizza would be ready in under 5 minutes, as you can see their in-house pizza oven in full view. And sure enough, the end result was nearly inedible for me. The crust was thin but flimsy, the cheese pooled right on top which made this pizza even flimsier, and the sausage was minced so finely that when you took a bite, everything on the pizza seemed to slip out. The best part of that pizza was the crust, although I still had to bust out some garlic sauce to mask the plainness of the overall flavor of this dish. And having a slice of Serrano pepper just dumped on each slice didn't help bring these flavors together. I'm not sure if I'm missing anything here, but I felt misled. Maybe trying something other than the pizza next time would make me change my mind about this place. read more

It was fun to see a few new items on the menu, like bacon toast. Our old favorites were there as well; braise short ribs, meatballs etc. However their chocolate dessert has changed and not for the better. The amano chocolate dessert use to be dense, dark and rich and now its consistency is loose and flavorful overtly sweet. Their service was also off with our waiter neglecting out table which explains why he forgot to put part of our order in not once but twice! Nothing was done to make thing's right with a member of our party waiting 15-20 minutes for her order to arrive. All in all, the evening was disappointing due to inattentive service. Yeah, after multiple times eating here, it's pretty easy to give this place 5-stars. The service has always been great and the food is top notch. This also might sound crazy but I think I like their appetizers and items that aren't pizza more than the pizza itself. The baked ricotta is an absolute MUST. One of my favorite appetizers. Spread it on some bread and you've got something special. Their Mac and cheese was also phenomenal. I ordered it for my main course last time I was there and I'm glad I did. Very very yummy. Was trying to go to a different restaurant that ended up being closed, so we dropped by here and were able to get seated fairly quickly. It was our first time there, so they gave us some pita bread and hummus to start. It was good, but nothing special. We ordered the bianca bread and butternut squash soup as appetizers. The bianca bread was SO GOOD. It was so incredibly fresh, and the oil and balsamic vinegar you dip it in was perfect with it. The butternut squash soup was also great and super creamy. We split the Hot Pink pizza and the Bolognese for our mains. The Hot Pink pizza was really good, not overly spicy. You can tell their ricotta is homemade and it made this pizza perfect. The Bolognese was also great. You can tell their pasta is homemade, and all of the ingredients in it tasted so fresh. We also had the best waitress (wish I could remember her name). My husband and I came here for date night and it was our first time trying Pizzeria 712. I had heard good things about it but our experience and the food exceeded expectations! Our server Nicole, was really friendly and helpful with helping us know what to order. I was super hungry so the complimentary hummus and pita was so appreciated! The hummus was very delicious! This is a fun upscale restaurant in downtown Orem. The service we had was fantastic all night from our waiter to our hostess. The prices are a little higher but the ambiance is there to match. We started off with the complimentary hummus and pita bread. The hummus was cold which is not our favorite, and the bread was raw at the top. Bummer! It had good flavor throughout the bottom through. Our first course was a recommendation from our waiter: butternut squash soup. It was divine! We absolutely loved the hearty combination of flavors and textures. It was bold and interesting and warmed us from the inside out. I'm excited for that to be a staple item for them! We ordered the Bianco pizza for our main course. After the ultra flavorful soup, the pizza lacked a lot of flavor and complexity. I wished it had come with prosciutto or something to make it more interesting than just the arugula. There was also an amble amount of crust on each slice, and I wish the toppings had extended much further on thr pizza instead of leaving us with a whole bunch of bread. The pizza was good, and we ate the whole thing, I just wish there had been more of an experience there like there was with the soup. I wouldn't call this restaurant very kid friendly, and parking is packed so be prepared to drive around or park on state street. This would make a really great date night! An incredible pizza experience. This is my new favorite in Orem!!! Sit down pizza restaurant located in the Midtown 360 apartment plaza. They were quick to seat us and brought us delicious and complementary hummus and pita. I asked our waitress for her recommendation and she said the best 2 were hot pink and the Serrano. BOTH WERE AMAZING!! I am so so happy we followed her recommendation. The Serrano had incredible flavor with the sausage and pepper counteracted with the sweet honey glaze. Honestly one of the best flavor combinations I've ever had in my mouth. For the hot pink, the cheese was TO DIE FOR!! Perfect combination of cheeses that made this pizza an amazing experience. I will definitely be back! Only downside was the pizza crust was soooo thin it was hard to even hold without it flopping over and the toppings falling off. read more

Refreshing alternative to the more bourgeois Medici just 5 minutes away. The place is casual but still nice for a date night and close to the Chocolate for after desserts! It's called 712 because that's the degree of heat they cook their pizzas in. We had a table right next to the big stone oven and it was impressive. Not sure what they do differently but their dough is isn't overcooked but perfectly soft. They have a wide variety of pizzas to choose from but I like to see how restaurants handle the classic margarita. Solid job and it's absolutely something I'd order again. We also got the pear compote for an appetizer. My wife loved the combo of sweet and savory. It's very reminiscent of mulled cider. Too sweet for me but definitely worth experimenting. read more

The ambience was really cool and we were seated quickly. Our orders were taken and our food came out fast. They forgot my daughter's pizza and were very kind to comp it since she had to wait. I'd recommend any pizza with the homemade ricotta - that was so unique! The pizzas are all thin crust. We tried the pound cake and panna cotta for dessert - both were good. I usually stick to just pizza (obviously it's a pizza place and that's what they're known for) but I know they do great things aside pizza so I wanted to give it a shot.
