My friend wanted Italian and I'm a brunch girl so I found Vesta on Yelp that offered food that would satisfy both. We were immediate seated upon arrival given it was early afternoon. The place is humble and has a home feel to the place. Our waiter quickly came by and brought us a bottle of water & cups. He returned a few minutes later and took our order. The food swiftly came and it looked delicious! Given my avoidance for carbs I tried the egg calabrese with ricotta. I was delightfully surprised how good it was. The flavors blended well and the broccoli rabe and ricotta was a nice contrast with eggs. Definitely would order again. Overall great food and service. Will come back for dinner to try their Italian dishes.

My husband and I have been here twice now. Both times have been amazing. Margherita pizza is soo good!! Service is excellent.

Vesta is such a great Astoria restaurant. The owner is a wonderful guy who's super attentive to his patrons. One can tell immediately how much love he's poured into his business. The restaurant is small, but there's a good amount of seating at low tops, high tops, the bar area and outside patio. The burrata is a must as well as the Diavolo Arabbiatto pizza. There's also a good wine selection.

The place was small and cozy. This was such a random find - we were hungry and in the area. We sat at the bar, and we were quick to be greeted. People were all chatting amongst each other but it was pretty much a familiar vibe. I think there were some regulars. The food selection sounded yummy but unfortunately we had to wait a really long time for our entrees. We were not told what happened, and the people next to us received their food earlier even though one of them ordered the same I did and they arrived later. It was worth the wait though. The team just apologized even if we did not complain (things happen!). Both pastas were delicious and our appetizer's pesto felt incredibly fresh. Portions were also good, and their drink selection extensive to pass the time.

I had an absolutely great time at Vesta. The service, food, and environment were some of the best I've had for a restaurant of this caliber. At around $30-35 a person, the dishes definitely matched the pricing point. There is a tight and high quality menu that still manages to express such a variety of unique and delicious options, of which the staff helped us navigate. We each talked about our preferences, our flavor palettes, and our server recommended us individual dishes. (Also if you are interested in wines he was very knowledgeable for options too) Overall, it was a catered, upscale evening with great food and amazing service, for not a terribly high price.

My boyfriend and I had a craving for pizza and a nice plate pasta, so we decided to try out Vesta. I loved the rustic ambiance, truly a hidden gem. The service was friendly and efficient. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary focaccia with oil--it was a nice start to our meal. For our appetizer, we went with the braised meatballs, which were delicious. We then shared the diavolo pizza and the gnocchi. The pizza, with its thin crust and the kick from the spicy maple syrup, was an instant favorite for me. I felt the gnocchi could have been seasoned a bit more, but my boyfriend loved it. Without a doubt, we'll be returning, and I highly recommend making a reservation as it tends to get busy, especially in the evenings.

Burrata.. Hell yah Mussels... Nah

4.0 stars. Friendly staff, clean establishment, good prices and authentic tasting (I think). Burrata appetizer is awesome. The pesto sauce and tomato pepper sauce with the Burrata on baguette slices is a combo that just makes sense. I think the mussels were off this evening. Our order tasted like it came straight from the Hudson River or something lol, that or maybe there wasn't enough lemon or vinegar or wine used during cooking to kill the strong ocean taste. In any case, wasn't an ideal way to start the meal lol. Branzino was absolutely perfect. Tender, juicy and crispy skin that went very well with the orzo. (orzo was kinda salty but still good). Highly recommend this dish Had three of the pastas, all solid nothing to complain about.

I was so delighted to be able to grab an early dinner at Vesta while watching one of their wine tasting events. The ambiance and decor were so cozy and I loved the space. I was a solo diner and really appreciated how welcoming and warm the staff were! As a visitor, they made me feel like a member of the community. The bread I thought was fantastic and the gnocchi was cooked well in my opinion. The sauce had more lamb than I was expecting and I really enjoyed the dish! I wish I had room for dessert but I was so happy with my gnocchi and wine. Overall I highly recommend for you next girls night or date night, can't wait to be back!

What a lovely intimate Italian spot in Astoria! We came here last night for our end of the year dinner. We had made a reservation through RESY and were seated right away. The place is rather dark but the service was amazing. We all had wine to start and ordered 3 appetizers to share. We had the pizza, burrata and meatballs. As an entree, I had the lasagna but since we were so full from the appetizers I took majority of the lasagna to go. I would definitely come back for another glass of wine and appetizers. See you in 2023 Vesta!

This is our go to for birthdays. Cute romantic and great food. Sometimes the area isn't great but sit inside and it's perfect.

Is weekend brunch the only menu that is served on Sunday afternoon?

How would they fit a party of 14?

A reservation is a MUST. It will definitely almost be an private party in my opinion. The food and service is Top Notch.

We made it just in time for some happy hour, bring on the muled wine. Then continued the night with a wine flight and some Lambrusco for me. Before coming here I forgot how good a Lambrusco is and this really reminded me by having it as an option in the flight then by the glass. For food I had the whipped ricotta and the arugula salad, I mainly was craving the whipped ricotta but that ended up having a lighter flavor and the salad was my preferred dish. The servers were great though, we stayed almost to closing after a friends jacket on the coat rack was taken by a different patron and we waited until they could come back and swap. Thank you to the servers for helping track down the other customer and getting that situation taken care of.

The food was lackluster though... we ordered 5 things but none of them were special, except maybe the flatbread (mushroom ricotta). I'd go back but consider it a drinks spot, not an impressive kitchen.

Wanted to write this review based on the wheelchair accessibility and laptop areas…read more There are coffee shops in the neighborhood with laptop rules that say you have to sit at the high tables. Obviously as a wheelchair user, I cannot sit at the high tables, and when I have asked the staff for understanding, other places have denied me. Ines let me use my laptop at a wheelchair accessible table without any fuss. Mark was very gracious. When I asked, he said, "we will make an exception." I felt heard without advocating for common sense and I greatly appreciate the humility. Thank you!

The coffee is excellent - I believe it's roasted by devocion. I also love how they serve their coffee in glass/ceramic cups and glasses for those dining in. I usually will get the healthy start - I love their dressing and the eggs are always seasoned perfectly. The staff are nice but can seem a little stressed when things get busy. They adhere to strict "no laptops and tablets before 2pm" and "no outside coffee" policies.
