Although I've done a couple of Pilates classes before, I felt Be Fit had a good balance of challenging myself to push my limits while still enjoying my workout. The studio is on the smaller side and located inside PCH Mall. While parking in the structure is not free, there is free 2 hour parking in the back! My only gripe is that as a current graduate student, the classes are a little inaccessible, both time wise and price wise. Would highly encourage the studio to expand timing to accommodate Pilates members who have 9-5 work schedules, as well as more flexible pricing for students!

She programs the workout to wear it is challenging enough for you to shake and sweat, but you can still finish the workouts. Yes, you're tired and shook she tells you to do pushups after all that but she does it with you and she kicks your butt. Shes super meticulous while giving a hard workout! She students form and pays attention to our rep speed. One of my fave instructors here for sure. I recommend all fitness enthusiasts and PIlates Princesses come take classes with her cuz she will def give you a hard workout.

You'll definitely work out muscles that you didn't even know you had and some of the classes are so brutal. But it's totally worth it. All the coaches so far have been wonderful. The class setting is smaller so it feels more intimate. Nobody makes you feel awkward too if you have no idea what you're doing. Sometimes it can go a bit fast but the coaches do demo the exercises. I like this place a lot for reformer Pilates :)

The instructors are supportive and welcoming and I really enjoy the group class environment. Plus the 50% off the first class didn't hurt. The classes range from beginner to advanced. If you are new to Pilates take the Reformer Essentials to get your footing and learn the basics. For the more intermediate to advanced I highly recommend Reformer Mix with instructor Chelsea. With Chelsea I experience a full body workout with different routines every week using all of the equipment . I have truly stepped up my pilates game with Chelsea. The Reformer Sculpt class is also a excellent option for an advanced class that does exactly what the class title says. Instructor/owner Eden is my fave for Sculpt. The studio offers yoga classes and these have been a game changer. Instructor Brooke is an amazing yoga + pilates instructor who is down to earth and very encouraging. Instructor Consuelo is peaceful and intentional with Gentle Yoga Slow Flow for a more easy and meditative flow. If you're in or near Long Beach check out the studio. I am always swearing and feeling amazing after a class with Hina! It does suck that she's only there twice a week and I wanted to be consistent with Pilates. After struggling with being motivated to exercise, I saw an ad on IG about a free intro class. Since the video had people using a machine (reformer), I thought I could do this more than yoga which is more unsupported. Also, I've tried at home vids before and I felt that I did not know the correct forms bec I did not have an instructor to notice and correct my positions. What encouraged me to try it out was after I filled out the free intro class form online, the person who called me seemed so nice and competent, even asking about any physical challenges I may have. At this point esp with a free class, there was no reason for me not to try it out! Bec of the person who called me, I felt they would understand such as if I had a hard time, etc. When I did the intro class with Mildraide (who soon became one of my favorites), I was shaking with some of the exercises, but she did not make me feel like a failure. She also greeted me with a genuine welcoming kind smile, so even if she has more of a drilling style, I did not feel intimidated. I left still pondering if I should do it, but what sold me was from that first class, I felt I could stand up taller, my limbs were more flexible, and I had a spring on my step. I am so glad one of their staff members, Cameron, convinced me because I have become healthier from doing pilates and always encourage my friends to try. This review is also for one of my other favorite instructors, Yulia, who's classically trained in pilates. Ever since I started taking her classes, I saw a big difference in the mirror and pictures and I am not so bloated and my shape is more defined. Honestly, that alone will make me keep on going, but I love the stress release and boost I get from exercising. I have since upgraded to 8 classes per month because my body started to crave the exercise. I almost want to gatekeep Yulia's class cause I never want to have to be on a waitlist, but I hope she will work at this location for a very long time. I am honestly impressed by the variety of exercises and how she knows how many reps are reasonable to expect per level. I since moved up to her level 1.5 bec I know it's appropriate to the level and won't leave me discouraged or incapable. She's very professional and never humiliates. The other instructors and staff are also great, particularly at this location. I think there is a special happy and caring feeling in this particular site, and whenever I have questions or need help about my account, I get really helpful responses. So all in all, this is just as excellent as a pilates club can be.

When I enter the Axis space I am welcomed by high ceilings, clean environment and many different workout equipment from Pilates to Gyrotonics. It is such a sweet space and both Karen, Chris & Fabi are so welcoming. Karen immediately assesses what my body needs and we begin my workout. I feel rejuvenated, younger and mostly full of energy after my hour workout. I find that my body craves these movements and my body feels renewed. An hour with Karen twice a week and I know my body is standing taller, I am more flexible and I am much more in touch with the movement of my body. It is an energy uplifter and I am so grateful to have Gyrotonics as a part of my exercise routine.

These props are drenched in sweat and germs. The front desk spritz some spray (barely) onto the blocks & wheels, but never the weights, and none of it is actually wiped down. I have to bring my own disinfectant wipes, which is crazy considering the price of classes.

It's been a slow process, but I think I am getting better now. Heidi has been my primary pilates instructor, while I have also taken intermediate classes with Michelle. They are both AMAZING instructors and accommodating and attentive during each set. I love the size of the studio with four pilates reformers. Thus, there is a max of four participants per session. The instructors are conscientious that everyone can perform with the machine. At the end of the session, we are provided with sanitized wipes to clean down the reformer for the next session. There are limited parking spaces in front of the studio. However, since the place is located in the middle of the fast-paced street on PCH Blvd, please make sure to approach the building slowly before making the turn.
