You'll definitely work out muscles that you didn't even know you had and some of the classes are so brutal. But it's totally worth it. All the coaches so far have been wonderful. The class setting is smaller so it feels more intimate. Nobody makes you feel awkward too if you have no idea what you're doing. Sometimes it can go a bit fast but the coaches do demo the exercises. I like this place a lot for reformer Pilates :)

I'm familiar with reformer and mat Pilates, and currently work out 5 days a week, so was interested in trying this out. Humbled af. It is very intense and the megaformer takes a lot of care to not get hurt. Overall a great workout! The studio is pretty big and roomy. Loved the aesthetic and mirrors everywhere. Very clean. Parking was annoying because you are at LBX. I'd recommend arriving at least 15 mins early. Overall, a cool workout but not for me and would not recommend for beginners.

Classes are held 7 days a week Mon.- Sun. 11am-12pm and a few months out of the year they also offer classes Mon.-Fri. 6pm-7pm (check the socials for that). Yoga is located on the bluff. It's outdoors off Ocean Blvd, parking can be a hassle sometimes since it's such a busy area but if you don't mind walking a bit there is plenty of residential parking all around. Yoga is located on the bluff over looking the water, it's beautiful on sunny days and nights are perfect for sunset views. It's a donation based service, so feel free to donate whatever your heart or wallet desires. Donations in cash are always welcomed... that's how they support the business but the instructors always mention they are also open to other donations like things people have to pay for that you might have at home like fresh fruits and vegetables that are home grown... I love that concept. Yoga instructors vary depending on the day of the week but I will say that they are all Amazing in different ways. Each yoga instructor has a different style and that's what makes it beautiful, come see what fits your needs. I also wanted to mention that they have a location off Redondo called Yogalution Movement & Wellness. If you're ever in the area I would recommend you stop by and get your Zen on. I attended Yogalution for several years and completed their yoga teacher training, but I do not…read morerecommend this studio. My main concern is how teachers are treated. Even though the studio is donation-based, teachers are required to give a large portion of any donations they receive back to the owner. This includes offerings like free Yoga on the Bluff, which are presented as opportunities for teachers to earn income but are not truly free for them. I consider this exploitative of skilled teachers and inconsistent with yogic principles like aparigraha (non-greed). The yoga teacher training itself is heavily Bhakti-focused and can feel cult-like. The program moves quickly through queuing and poses--the very skills most students hope to learn--while placing heavy emphasis on adopting the owner's personal devotional approach rather than focusing on the core teaching skills most students seek. This attention is then used to pressure students into signing contracts to teach at the studio, meaning you pay to train and then pay again to teach. For me, it felt like a financial model built on taking advantage of students rather than supporting their growth. Because of this structure and approach, I can no longer in good conscience support this studio, despite the skill of the teachers themselves.

I learned yoga for the first time through Erika's teachings in 2007. I was so moved by her knowledge, experience and leadership, and I wanted to continue to learn more about yoga practice, life and philosophy. First, I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training, and then I continued onto a 300 hour in depth teacher training. I met the most wonderful collective in these few years and carried on along my journey with a new pair of glasses. Almost a decade later, the pandemic hit. I was still receiving newsletters seasonally from Erika Faith with updates about her teacher trainings. She started offering her first online teacher training from her new residence in Kauai. She had been there almost 6 years, and it was my dream to learn more, grow even deeper. While the world grew unsettled in COVID times, I worked through all the struggles and obstacles in a more graceful state, thanks to my anchor, twice per week, Cloud Nine Yoga School via Zoom. Our cohort went on to study two back to back YTTs finishing off the year with happiness, freedom, peace and reconnected to the light of our true nature. This summer, I had the absolute honor of taking a personal yoga retreat with Erika and her family in the most magical place I've ever visited, the island of Kauai. We did yoga, meditative watercolor, surfed waves, plunged into cold, fresh water lagoons, snorkeled with fishies, hugged trees, and ate healthy, nourishing meals every day, always being present to the beauty that surrounded us. We drank juices, elixirs, smoothies and coconuts. We played, we learned; I healed and evolved. I came to Erika Faith in a sad state. I was suffering the loss of a job that I put my whole heart and soul into for years. Erika helped me realize that it was all for a new calling, a new opportunity for growth. I learned how to let go and let God. The island saved me with its powerful Mana. We got present everyday through conscious meditation and mindfulness of our bodies, mind and spirit. Arezo and Crystal were amazing mentors for me and taught me more than I could have asked for. This isn't just a school its a family where I felt comfortable growing in my yoga practice. This program went through both the spiritual and physical practice of yoga which I feel was missing foam other programs offered around this area. These teachers are extremely knowledgeable and are loving and willing to help you with anything you need. They have become good friends of mine and have shown me the beauty of yoga:)
