Love this cute and intimate studio so much! It was my first time trying Pilates and the instructor Jacquie is so helpful and knowledgeable.

I've attended several Pilates classes, and my body feels so worked at the end of the day. I love how the reformer penetrates on areas of your muscle that are rarely used. It's been a slow process, but I think I am getting better now. Heidi has been my primary pilates instructor, while I have also taken intermediate classes with Michelle. They are both AMAZING instructors and accommodating and attentive during each set. I love the size of the studio with four pilates reformers. Thus, there is a max of four participants per session. The instructors are conscientious that everyone can perform with the machine. At the end of the session, we are provided with sanitized wipes to clean down the reformer for the next session. There are limited parking spaces in front of the studio. However, since the place is located in the middle of the fast-paced street on PCH Blvd, please make sure to approach the building slowly before making the turn. read more

This is the best studio, hands down. I found Heidi through class pass shortly before the pandemic and quickly cancelled my class pass membership and signed up strictly with Heidi. And it was the best decision I made for my mental & physical health. Once things had closed down, Heidi made sure all of her clients were moving still. She offered virtual mat classes and social distancing in person classes at the beach and eventually in the studio's parking lot. To say she is dedicated to her craft is an understatement. I have met amazing women, both clients and instructors, at the studio and I look forward to every class I take. Heidi is dedicated to making sure your form is on point in order to optimize your movement and flow of each exercise you're executing. Her space is welcoming and CLEAN. There is absolutely zero pretentiousness involved with this studio. And it's made for a great environment for healing and continuing to build an epic Pilates practice. I've gained so much strength in my core and decreased sciatic pain since coming to Heidi. I've gained so many valuable tools to help me recover from a years old injury, thanks to Heidi and her team of excellent instructors. Post pregnancy, I wanted to regain core strength and I am so happy I came here. The staff is extremely knowledgeable regarding anatomy and how to correct under working and over working muscles. They took the time to make sure I understood what was going on with me and what I could do to fix it. The studio is so beautiful and peaceful. Heidi is the absolute best! I brought my 9yo for one on one Gyrotonic sessions to help with hip related issues that resulted from rhythmic gymnastics, and I saw results after only three sessions! My child, who couldn't walk or run for 10 minutes without complaining about hip/foot pain, did the 5K Cancer Walk around UCLA without stopping or complaining once! I hate to give the entire studio a bad review, especially since Heidi is so amazing. Her pilates classes are so great. However, Jennifer Lopez's Barre conditioning class was ridiculous. Besides being a cold studio (not their fault), it was obvious to me that the majority of us there were new. Jennifer was very pleasant & warm. She just failed to take her group into consideration. We began with a "warmup" according to Lopez, which never ended. She took all of us from a cold state into muscle cramps. And it was apparent that my friend and I were not the only ones struggling. Not once did we stop the entire hour! A few of us spoke up about pain & needing to stretch, but it was as if Jennifer was too concerned with staying on schedule. She would walk around a few times and try to help people. Most of what I saw was people unable to do it correctly, and Jennifer trying to make then do it right without a modification that would be attainable for their skill level. Perhaps it was simply inexperience when leading a class, but I was supremely let down. My friend who attended the class with me was told by her doctor that she strained both hamstrings! Not good Jennifer, not good. read more

The deals that Heidi runs are definitely worth taking advantage of- the prices are great and the classes are awesome. The Best: Weighted Vinyasa- Priscilla is beyond amazing; motivating, helpful, understanding, always ready with a word of praise and modifications to help each class member. Denni is also fantastic and very helpful. Yes, the studio is small and hard to find at first, but the experience is worth it. Also Good: Ballet Barre- as another Yelper mentioned, there are no breaks or modifications offered, though if you go at your own pace, stretch when needed, and make your own modifications it's not so bad. It does kick your butt and you'll feel it for a day or two- which means it's working. The 'Warehouse' is large, but at least you have stretching space- bring a sweatshirt for warm-up though. read more

WIth the help of Yelp posting I have had good customer service by emailing Heidi, the owner rather than conventional calling and messages. Nevertheless, I have returned and recently attended Jennifer Lopez's barre class and got a great workout which was a lot of fun as well. The reviewer who gave her a bad review has obviously no one to blame, but herself for not taking care and listening to her own body. It's common sense to take a break or not to continue if something hurts. Sure there wasn't a set water break, but to make it sound like you weren't allowed to drink water is ridiculous. The place is small, a converted garage, and is very unassuming, but you're there for a workout and the instructors I have had have been great. read more

I bought a package through Living Social. After reading some of the other reviews (Blondie H.), I was afraid that I would have the same difficulty in scheduling or attending classes. So, I called the phone number listed on the certificate (same as the Yelp site) and held my breath. I wanted to attend a class the next day and was calling about 24 hours in advance. I got the voicemail and just basically left my name, number, Living Social certificate number and my intent to attend a class the following day. I basically just said, "I'll be there tomorrow, you can call me back if there's a problem." I didn't get a call back, but the way I posed my voicemail, it didn't really require a returned call. Anyway, I was still nervous showing up the next day, not knowing if i'd need a legitimate appointment or not. I showed up and was kind of scared that I wouldn't be able to practice that day since the studio is quite small and a few others were already waiting for the class. It sucks, but the one negative review really gave me some anxiety in regards to redeeming this deal I bought. Maybe the other review should have just shown up and been like, "I'm here and I'm going to practice yoga today." or whatever. The instructor, Denni, greeted me warmly and welcomed me into her class. Thankfully, there were no issues involved in using my certificate and the rest is history. I loved the class and was sweating like a dog before it was half way completed. Denni was a great instructor and she had a great, energetic playlist for her uplifting Vinyasa flow class. I would give a 5 star review if there were better clarity about how to redeem the Living Social deal and how to schedule a class. Those directions could easily be incorporated in the Studio's voicemail, if the proprietor would rather not waste time answering simple questions. Maybe I'll update my review to 5 stars after attending a few more classes. read more

I was referred to Heidi through my chiropractic's staff. It seemed that the work I was getting done was just temporarily relieving symptoms and not getting to the core issues causing them. I started with private Pilates reformer training with Heidi and have now moved to group Pilates reformer classes and Gyrotonic training. Heidi is amazing & I can't recommend her enough. She is warm, inspired, and really connects with where you are and how best to modify your form to optimize the effects of the movement. I'm constantly struck by what an inch of modification does to scramble my muscle memory! Over the months I started eyeing the Gyrotonic equipment and now I'm totally sold on it. Currently, Heidi charges the same for private training on Pilates reformer or Gyrotonic, which is sort of unheard of. And I'm hooked. And since Pilates and Gyrotonic do compliment each other, I have continued with the Pilates Reformer group classes with Andrea, who is equally wonderful as a trainer. There are 4 reformers so that's the maximum enrollment for any Pilates Reformer classes allowing the instructors to still provide individualized prompts. Picking classes is even more easy once you've bought a package because signing up is done in the app and online. The facilities are super clean and airy. And I actually haven't been to the chiropractic in over 6 months! read more

I really like this yoga studio. Heidi is a great instructor and very knowledgeable. She's great with beginners as well as advanced. She ver careful not to let you injure yourself or if you have an existing inuury, she'll give you options to work around it and suggestions of how to help heal it. Her prices are very affordable and she runs specials on packages often. I initially went to Studio H because I bought a Living Social voucher. That was over a almost a year ago and Im still going. The Ballet Barre class with Jennifer Lopez is great! Yes, it's "hardcore" and Jennifer doesn't pause or take breaks between the exercises, but it does not mean you are not allowed to. I've taken liberty in making modifications when I needed to or if I really needed to stop, I'll stop to drink water or shake off the cramps/pain. This is coming from a girl who have never really taken pilates, aerobics, etc. classes and have had very little experience with yoga. Although I have been working out for a long time so maybe that helped me transition into this class' techniques better. Jennifer is a fun teacher with a million moves to help tone and sculpt the body. Each class is different enough that you will never do the same exact routine. She'll work you from head to toe and it feels great! Highly recommend this class! UPDATE: Studio H moved to a sadly, tiny studio. Jennifer's class is no longer available, sadly. I am awed by the changes at Studio H, all for the better; wider selection of classes, new classes being added all the time, and the continued excellent quality of instructions. Her new instructors are just as great, with the same attention to detail as Heidi. Since I've been going to Studio H I have noticed such a difference in my core strength, my overall conditioning, and absolutely my posture. The ambience at the studio is just so pleasant, it's a pleasure to work out there. It's the antithesis of going to the gym!! I cannot wait to try some of the new class offerings, like the aerial silks, that are just getting going. Found this class on Groupon, awesome deal! I have taken two of the barre classes and they are like no other workout I have done. Very fun, yet very challenging, like any workout should be. Heidi is so great, and she looks amazing for her age. She is very helpful and good at explaining the workouts, especially for someone with no dance background. I took Jennifer's class tonight and she is anything but scary. She is so sweet and fun, but pushes you to do well. Never did i feel like i couldn't stop and take a break with fear of being called out. The classes are so fun, and I can see where dancers get their bodies! Overall great classes, only thing is I wish there was someone to answer questions over the phone, but that will come with the new studio i'm sure. read more

Referred by a friend, I am taking Studio H Conditioning Pilates classes with Heidi twice a week . Heidi has changed my life, and my 70 year old body!! ( Her classes are highly recommended if you have any arthritis, posture or movement issues like I do.) Owner Heidi is a rare find---highly motivating, experienced teacher who seems to "listen" to your body while she works with you. She can explain what's she's having me do, and why. She has a huge set of fitness exercises and experiences to draw from, and is highly certified. Heidi is very talented, even perhaps "gifted". I had Heidi for an hour and she was attentive (4 to a class, but I was the only newbie) and she knew I needed the most coaching/assistance. Heidi and her staff are amazing! All of the classes are awesome workouts. The Barre classes really kick your butt. They're great for those that want a really tough, fun workout that you definitely feel. As a former gymnast, I LOVE a workout that you feel for a few days... that's how you know it's working! The yoga and pilates classes are also awesome. The instructors are really great at modifying the workout for beginner to intermediate levels. Try all of the different classes... some people need the slower pace of the mat class rather than the intense Cardio Barre classes... ALL of the classes are amazing workouts, whatever the speed or level. All of the instructors are extremely knowledgeable of their specialties and are always available to answer questions. I have been attending Studio H Conditioning since June and have taken ballet barre, cardio barre, Pilates Kick and Weighted Yoga with different instructors. All of them have been awesome! I used to take the barre classes back at the small studio but after the class got more popular it moved to the warehouse and Jennifer Lopez took over the class. I truly appreciate the larger space because everyone has more room. Sure, it's a little chilly but its a warehouse so its expected. I wear layers so I can peal them off as I warm up from the exercises. As for Ms. JLo, she is awesome!!! I take classes at Pop Physique and Studio Fusion weekly in addition to Studio H because they all have different styles. I always look forward to my Wednesday's at Studio H with JLo and will continue to go as long as she teaches it. I have seen amazing changes in my body and also seen the changes in the other ladies who have been attending weekly classes since June!!! Another Yelper mentioned there are no breaks and thank goodness there isn't! This is a short 60 minute workout and I want to work out that whole 60 minutes. I am attending the class to get in shape and loose the weight I gained from carrying my twins. I am definitely getting close to my goal and can't thank you enough Studio H Conditioning! read more

Recently tried an aerial silks and aerial hammock class here. Danielle, the instructor, was wonderful. She gives great, easy to follow directions and makes you feel very safe while hanging in the strange contraptions. The class sizes are small, with only two apparatuses available. I didn't feel sore right after the workout, but for 2-3 days after, my arms were on fire!! Holy crap..definitely challenges muscle you don't normally use in a regular gym workout. I would recommend trying aerial.classes at Studio H for a fun and challenging workout. read more

What I've learned with Heidi and the skills she has taught me through Pilates is amazing. I have terrible neck and shoulder pain and Heidi has helped me not only gain strength overall but also helped me work through my neck and shoulder issues and I've improved immensely.
