I love my Vero Pilates studio. The instructors are so nice and very good. Best of all each class in never more than 4 people!

I absolutely love this place and everyone working here. Every instructor I've had has been kind, patient, and genuine. They all do such a good job creating a safe space for everyone. I've never done Pilates prior to coming to Vero's and I l'm very glad I chose Vero as my first. The space is very cute and clean. I also love that it's only 4 people at most in a class. I had my consultation/1 on 1 with Sabine and she was kind enough to tell me the history of Pilates, naming and showing me positions, and everything I needed to know going forward. She did a great job showing me the ropes and setting me up for future classes. From there, Crystal very patiently worked with my schedule to find classes that I would fit in with as a beginner. Beyond that, she helped ease my nerves about being a newcomer and helped me feel really welcomed. Most of my classes have been with Aubre who has been nothing short of amazing. She tailors each class after what we need and she never misses! Aubre makes me feel welcomed and I've learned a lot about my body from attending her sessions. She's very good at ensuring we have the correct posture, preventing injuries in the long run. I appreciate her knowledge and how she shows it in her instruction. Eveline and Janet are also great. Eveline's classes are very informative and she does a great job creating a comfortable environment for everyone. Janet is very sweet and took the time to make sure I was doing okay during class. Her care was genuine and I'll never forget her kindness! Most of the people I've talked to only intended to try Pilates for a month or two but Vero's wonderful staff, space, and overall environment makes everyone stay much longer. If you want to experience a legitimate pilates studio with expert instructors you have to join Vero Pilates. I have been coming to Vero Pilates for two years now, twice a week. It not only helps me with my mobility, energy and strength but mindset. I feel focused, calm and ready to deal with the day after my sessions. Recently, I have been dealing with a frozen shoulder. I went to acupuncture, physical therapy, with no real improvement. It has been Vero Pilates working on the whole body, not just isolating my shoulder that has helped with my mobility. If you are looking for a pilates studio/community please check out Vero Pilates. The environment at the studio is so warm and friendly, the teachers are exceptional, the space has everything you need, and the members are so kind. They offer several semi-private group (max 4 people) classes throughout the day and week which makes it easy to accommodate most schedules as well as opportunities to book private sessions. Community is so important and Vero Pilates makes that a priority by offering educational and fun events throughout the year that are not to be missed. I am currently enrolled in their teacher training program and can not I can not sing the praises of Andrea Smith enough. I put a lot of thought and research into the training opportunities in the LA/OC area and I can't imagine having a better experience than I'm having with Vero Pilates. One thing that really stands out is Andrea's sincere passion and love for Pilates which shows through in her teaching the method with detail and precision. I have been coming to Vero Pilates with Aubre for over 8 months. As an athlete as well as a middle age female, I have found that Pilates strengthens and stretches me. With no more than four students per class, I get individualized instruction. Aubre pushes me to expand my confidence as well as make sure that I am properly doing the moves. It's been almost 3 years since I started taking Pilates classes at Vero Pilates. I am very pleased with my progress. having a chronic musculo-skeletal condition, it is very important for me to remain physically fit and reduce the aches and pains. Vero Pilates has given me a lot of relief. My current teacher, Caylen, is so good and she pays attention to my posture. I tend to get tense around my shoulder as a result of a recent shoulder surgery. Caylen makes sure that I relax my shoulder during the class. My experience at Vero Pilates has been really wonderful. The small class sizes make sure that you feel seen and cared for; classes feel personalized, approachable, and, strange as it may sound, joyful (I end up laughing at least once a class). My long time Pilates teacher Aubre Hill recently joined Vero Pilates in Long Beach so my LB friends you are very fortunate. I have been taking Pilates with Aubre for over 15 years (?) and am a believer of Joseph Pilates classic training. Aubre is a world class teacher and believes in her students (although we often do not believe in ourselves). Over the years, her training and encouragement helps me through difficult time in life by strengthening my body and mind. One suggestion I have for Pilates newbies is while Reformer and Wunda Chair may look intimidating, everyone should give it a try. I've been religiously attending sessions here with Steven for 3 months now, and I have to say that I absolutely LOVE it at Vero! I highly recommend Steven, and this little gem of a studio for all your Pilates needs. Wherever you're at in your healing journey, as a beginning pilates student or a more advanced student, rest assured they will do their best job pairing you with the instructor that is best suited for you/your needs. I've been a hairstylist for 14 years, the past year I've been struggling with chronic lower back/hip pain. I've been doing chiro, acupuncture, stretching, supplements, diet change, and pretty much every thing (so I thought...) one could be doing to heal. I consistently heard from people that I needed to try Reformer Pilates. So about 4 months ago after reading glowing reviews on Vero, I called. The owner was so friendly, she listened to what I was dealing with and paired me with Steven. I am so thankful for this occurrence, because Steven is truly the BEST fitness instructor I've ever had. Discovering Steven, has been life changing for me, for the better. Not only does he have so much knowledge and experience, Steven genuinely cares about what he is teaching. His passion, professionalism, and consistency are UNLIKE ANY. I am finally able to MOVE, I am feeling a little stronger and having a little less pain every week. I sincerely attest that to Steven's ability to work with my injuries, while challenging me more all the time. Now please note that I'm generally not one to sit down and actually write reviews, but this is one that I couldn't neglect writing any longer! I have felt such a drastic change to my core. If writing this can bring one more person closer to their healing then this write up is one hundred percent worth it. If you want to strengthen yourself from the inside out, to relieve chronic pain you must commit yourself to the process, be honest with yourself, be honest with your instructor, and I promise you that you won't be disappointed! I take a few private one on one sessions per week, followed by one class per week. At Vero I love that classes don't go over 4 students. I'm so glad I found Vero! I wish I would've tried reformer years ago, it's such a great total body workout. Everyone is so welcoming & the studio is calm & peaceful. Janet is the best instructor-encouraging & challenging. She takes the time to explain each move & shows how even just a slight adjustment can help get the most out of the exercise. The first steps in my Pilates Teacher Training at Vero Pilates have been completed. I know for myself, and think our group would agree, this journey has given us an incredible amount of information on Joseph Pilates' principles and techniques, showing us why Pilates is such a wonderful method of learning how to be in tune with your body, as you strengthen it with advancement through the Pilates repertoire. From breathe work to exercises on every apparatus Andrea Smith, our instructor, has shown us what makes Pilates so successful, and how and why, despite age, illness or injury, Pilates exercises can be modified and used with any level of student, from beginner to advanced. Andrea has awed me with her mastery of the Pilates repertoire, especially with her demonstrations of proper form and techniques for breathing. She demonstrated and then took us through all of the exercises on the apparatus (MAT, Reformer, Cadillac/Tower, Chair, Barrel, Spinal Corrector and Magic Circle). We learned every exercise from beginning to very advanced, learning how to use proper form. She gave us so many tips for success in both advancing our skill level and how to teach a class. I look forward to using everything I've learned, while continuing on with the next steps needed to become a certified Pilates instructor. I started taking private classes at Vero when I was transitioning out of physical therapy following shoulder surgery. I knew i needed strengthening and supportive movement to keep my momentum going and get even further in my recovery. Its a few years later and I'm still taking at Vero. I've taken classes from every instructor and find them all to be excellent in their own way. Caylen has been my constant champion, watching me grow in my practice and giving me positive feedback and constructive pointers. Some classes are energetic fun and others focus on the tiny details. Always good and helpful. Andrea and Sabine bring a world of experience and insights into their classes and I am always thrilled by the different focal points and cues I get from their classes, even though my schedule doesn't have me with them as often. Really nice studio. Great vibe. I love observing the instructors. Andrea has been my instructor for years and before the pandemic. She pays attention to me, to my body, rather than just putting me through the pilates paces. It's been difficult for me to find studios and instructors. I travel just about weekly for work, so I end up in a gym doing mat, lifting, biking or jogging. So it's a pleasure to be able to work with an instructor I love, especially after being away from any instruction since the pandemic. Although I have a reformer and other equipment, my time with Andrea this week has shown me the small but important things I've sidelined--like, for instance, keeping my tail bone down during frogs and leg circles and so on. Today we're going to work on more fundamentals. I think I have the strength from being able to practice on my own equipment and doing mat when I'm on the road, but Andrea will help me see what I'm not seeing. Really need an instructor pretty regularly. Thought I didn't. read more

Aubrey has been able to supplement the work I'm doing in physical therapy to help keep me on the road to recovery for my knee, while also keeping up with my Pilates program. I started Pilates 9 months ago after years of yoga practice. I love yoga but found myself getting hurt at times. At Vero Pilates my body alignment and position are constantly watched and corrected by wonderful instructors such as Andrea, Caylen and Aubre. Vero Pilates is a SE Long Beach boutique Pilates studio. They are just the right size that you do not feel overwhelmed or intimidated. The instructors are great with all levels. I have been going for over 10 years and have happily progressed to Sabine who is an excellent instructor. The studio was lovingly able to pivot during the pandemic to ZOOM classes and it was a life saver to keep moving with intention. Now we are backing the studio which has been refreshed with the help of a new studio manager who is doing a great job addressing all client concerns. This studio is a gem! It has a lot of reformers and specialized Pilates equipment. My instructor is very knowledgeable and she took the initiative to research my medical condition and specific exercises that could help it. Fast forward to 2/17/20. I have MS and the studio hired an instructor who had trained with a neurological specialist for this condition. I was referred by my previous instructor to him and we have been doing specialized exercises for my drop foot and balance and walking issues. I Love this Studio !!
