It was my first time here and I took Bryanna's class. She was so patient and super helpful with a great energy, would definitely take her again. read more

My friend introduced me to this place and the workouts here burns so good! I've tried reformer Pilates elsewhere before and it gave me a meh first impression but so glad I gave lagree style a chance here. You'll definitely work out muscles that you didn't even know you had and some of the classes are so brutal. But it's totally worth it. All the coaches so far have been wonderful. The class setting is smaller so it feels more intimate. Nobody makes you feel awkward too if you have no idea what you're doing. Sometimes it can go a bit fast but the coaches do demo the exercises. I like this place a lot for reformer Pilates :) read more

Lagree style Pilates (fast paced, higher intensity) on a megaformer - different from classic Pilates and harder. I was welcomed and given a walk thru of the machine and terms as the instructor knew it was my first time. He was so kind to do that! I'm familiar with reformer and mat Pilates, and currently work out 5 days a week, so was interested in trying this out. Humbled af. It is very intense and the megaformer takes a lot of care to not get hurt. Overall a great workout! The studio is pretty big and roomy. Loved the aesthetic and mirrors everywhere. Very clean. Parking was annoying because you are at LBX. I'd recommend arriving at least 15 mins early. Overall, a cool workout but not for me and would not recommend for beginners. read more

I was a first time visitor & they turned me away bc I didn't have a reservation & the booking window was closed even though there was only 2 people in the class when the class started... I also filled out the account the night before to save time with walking in early I just didn't reserve bc I saw the classes were empty & didn't think there would be a problem getting in. Was looking at a membership to accommodate when RaYogas classes are full but now will not be returning. Feedback to corp: Don't have a policy that turns away first timers if you're class isn't even full. read more

Never knew Pilates could be such an intense workout. I absolutely love the instructors I've had and I love the studio. Definitely recommend this studio, even if you're a beginner like myself. I wanted to build up my core and this is exactly what I need in my life. read more

BE Fit Modern Pilates - LBX - Taking my friend to try be fit modern Pilates for her first time! - Pilates Near Me - Long Beach, California

I have an unlimited membership and have taken 150+ classes at this chain. Prior to relocating to Long Beach I was in LA where I took so many Pilates classes and tried many different instructors and studios so I started becoming picky. I consider myself relatively fit and always want a good workout where I'm sweating on the reformer and get results after going awhile. I've taken two classes with Pattianna at LBX and I really wish that she taught more classes here!! She programs the workout to wear it is challenging enough for you to shake and sweat, but you can still finish the workouts. Yes, you're tired and shook she tells you to do pushups after all that but she does it with you and she kicks your butt. Shes super meticulous while giving a hard workout! She students form and pays attention to our rep speed. One of my fave instructors here for sure. I recommend all fitness enthusiasts and PIlates Princesses come take classes with her cuz she will def give you a hard workout. read more

I love all the BeFit studios! If you're looking for an intense, low cardio workout that will guarantee you sore muscles the next day, look no further. All the instructors are equipped to give you a good full body routine and also give modified versions so that any level can comfortably do the workouts at their own pace. Remember to bring grip socks! The only downside about this location is that it isn't on classpass which is a bummer because it's closer to me than it is the other Long Beach location. read more

Loved the class here! I got the new client 5 class for $99 and it was worth it! I tried to take different instructors each time I go and they were all amazing . Thought it would be easy strength work out but Pilates is just a different kind. Let me tell you, it is HARD. 10 mins in and i was sweating and shaking like crazy. Definitely try to take different instructors to see which one suits you the best. Some focused more on core, some on upper body, and some focused a lot on lower body. The studio is clean and spacious. Check in is easy through iPad. read more

Great Pilates studio that offers challenging workouts but may not be the most beginner friendly. I would still highly recommend as the instructors are friendly, studio is clean & prices are fair for the workout, but if you're very new to starting your exercise journey, I would start elsewhere first. My friend & I decided to try out Be Fit Pilates with the new client deal & since they have really great reviews - we have done Pilates elsewhere a few times & are pretty "experienced" in lifting / various exercises, and boy were we humbled. If you're just starting out on your exercise journey, I don't know if I'd recommend starting here as the class was fast paced & very challenging. The instructor does come by and help give adjustments to you occasionally, but otherwise I think it's very easy to feel overwhelmed. The class is pretty fast paced & if you're not already familiar with certain exercise forms - you may feel a bit lost in the class. If you're new I'd probably recommend getting a reformer machine toward the back so you can look at others for form. Also don't feel bad/awkward if you need a break - there were moments where I knew I was not able to do the exercises any longer (the planks lol) and you can adjust yourself as needed. Listen to your body & take it easy if it's your first time. Also have to add, great location because there's plenty of food options for after your workout :) read more

My friend and I wanted to try something new in 2023, so we were like why note Pilates? It was a step out of our comfort zone and the reformers look so intimidating. We also dragged my boyfriend here cause when it first opened it had a 10-dollar introductory class. We took Soojin's class. Soojin is honestly one of the best instructors. She is very patient and takes time to explain different moves. She is extremely nice! I highly recommend her. I love that BeFit has multiple locations and all the classes are challenging so you get your money's worth. It is a bit pricey. You feel a difference in your body after taking one or a couple of classes! This is located in LBX weekends and weekday afternoons are super busy. You might have to park quite far away as it is next to multiple fitness studios and restaurants. read more

This is my favorite befit studio and I've been to Costa Mesa, and pch but this location on my opinion is prime. It's always clean the instructors are all welcoming and clearly love what they do. They make it a point to check in with first timers before and after each class and have a way of making sure each class is challenging for each student. I love it so much i want my own befit studio lol. My favorite instructors are Shuaa and Hannah but i also recommend them for more advanced level students. They also have the best socks so many cute styles to choose from. Befit also has the best machines like I've been to many studios and the machines here are the best. Heavy well made and sturdy. I highly recommend this studio. read more

First Timer @ Be Fit and I loved it! I'm definitely a beginner Pilates girl, but the instructor was very kind and made sure we understood the movements. 10/10 class, I can't wait to go back! Side note: the Pilates playlist was amazing! I almost forgot I was working out! read more

I just discovered reformer Pilates recently as a part of my post-cancer conditioning and recovery. I've taken two classes at both this location and the 2nd and PCH location. Both are clean and professional studios. Instructors: Shannon: Great energy and music! The reason why I purchased a 5 class pack after my initial class. Super friendly and upbeat! Paige: My favorite class so far. Felt like I was at the club pop lockin and droppin, which is EXACTLY how I want to feel when I take a social exercise class! Loved the playlist, the burn, everything! A+++ Heidi: phenomenal instructions. Really helped me understand each exercise and what to target. Kiok: Also a great instructor at explaining the moves and making sure each student understands what is happening. Overall I recommend the studios to everyone. I will say that I think the LBX instructors could take some inspiration from the 2nd and pch location as far as energy. LBX music tends to be a little lower and lacks that high spirit motivation that 2nd and PCH has. I hope this is just because they're a new studio. Id love to feel that high tempo and loud energy at LBX, and appreciate when the 2nd and PCH instructors have subbed at LBX. 2nd and PCH also has more parking. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to find a spot if you're going during peak hours at LBX (not a reflection of the studio, just a tip). So grateful I found this place! read more

I have done the two week new member trial and loved it so much that I got another month of the unlimited pass. Fast forward and I now have an unlimited monthly plan subscription! I recommend BeFit, and I love the instructors. They are very helpful in correcting my form, giving modifications, and motivating me when I don't think I can last any longer. I have always had such a weak core, but I can see myself slowly getting stronger with each class. Certain poses that I struggled with before are slowly getting easier. BeFit has helped me hold myself accountable, no more excuses! The hardest part is getting myself to the class. After that, it's just time to "make it shake." read more

Went for the first time this week for a 6 AM class and I honestly had the greatest time. I am not the most active person and this was my first ever Pilates class. The instructor was Isabella O. She was the sweetest ever!!! it was super challenging for me personally, but honestly, I felt good after. Even though I threw up after class I will be coming back for another class with Isabella soon! Some of the workouts were a little difficult, but she offered modifications for each workout if you were unable to do them. She also helps you correct your form if you are not doing it correctly. I felt super comfortable throughout the class, the Studio is seriously a no judgment zone. I 100% recommend everyone to come here for Pilates.! read more

Don't purchase class packages at BeFit if you plan to get pregnant soon. I was a huge fan of BeFit classes and attended regularly but after getting pregnant, I asked for an extension on the expiration of my class packages since we all know that pregnancy causes a shift in our center of gravity so there is a higher risk of falling on a reformer. I had purchased classes at 3 difffeent Pilates studios and BeFit was the only one that would not extend my expiration date for pregnancy. They said the longest they can extend is 90 days and that they need a doctor's note for the short 90 day extension. As we all know, pregnancy is much longer than 90 days. When I asked their reasoning for this short extension, they didn't even bother to respond to me. I will not be returning to BeFit even after my pregnancy due to their lack of respect and accommodations for pregnant women. Please think twice before spending your money on class packages if you plan to get pregnant soon. read more

Love this place - finally a pilates studio that gives me a great workout. I've been to others in the area, but this is a bit different (Lagree style), and definitely gives you a burn/muscle workout as well as core and stability. The machines are new and the studio is very clean. They also have socks and hair ties if you forget anything. If you are a beginner it's easy to jump in and the instructors can give you modifications if needed - usually it's a range of levels, but everyone is just focused on their own form/progress. I always leave feeling ready to take on the day and happier that I went to class. Shoutouts to some of my favorite teachers (too many to list) - Morgan, Paige, Kiok, and Hannah! Love their classes because each is slightly different and keeps it engaging! read more

I came here to give pilates another go, and BeFit is a big level up compared to club pilates. They aren't kidding when they say you're going to shake because I was dying lol. I've felt new muscles I've never used before. It's a full 45-min low-impact body workout with a big focus on core and glutes. Lots of static holds, dynamic movements, and pulses all back to back. It will take you a couple of times to understand the mechanics, but it's a pretty fun process if you really want to improve core strength. I've done weightlifting, yoga, cycling, and now I can cross Pilates off my list too. Thanks to gabby for being clear and concise throughout class! read more

First time here taking class with Jonathan. And it was such a great experience. The lbx studio is new and super clean and all of the machines were brand new. The vibe was great, the class size was pretty filled with just enough people to not feel lost, there were a range of levels in there which didn't make it too intimidating. Jonathan was a great instructor, his class was challenging, but he always includes an adjustment alternative. Studio is located in the back of lbx along the side of orange theory. There is ample parking. Can't wait to make this my 2-3x a week thing. read more

I'm so happy there's a BE Fit next to me. I've tried classes at the 2nd and Marina location through ClassPass, but it's a little bit of a drive for me. Even though I'm a beginner, I've enjoyed pretty much every class I've taken over taken here. I've done most of my classes with Jonathan, Brittney, and Ami based on my work schedule, but I've also had classes with Paige, Kathryn, Judy, Shannon, and Lindsay. The workouts help me with my form while doing whole body workouts - especially abs/core and legs. I love to do two-a-days and sign up for RA Yoga or GritCycle after a Pilates class since they're all next to each other. Upon entering, you just sign in through the iPad. You can book classes and buy more classes through their easy to use app. They also have socks and other Pilates merch for purchase. Free parking in the plaza. There's also a bathroom available, as well. Fun and rewarding. Clean and modern. Love it here! read more

Have been going to be fit for almost a year now! It's such a great workout. I highly recommend Hannah D!

I started my Pilates journey earlier this year. After trying different studios and ~Pilates~ styles (mat, hot sculpt, barre, lagree), I decided to try BeFit, per recommendation from my friend who raved about it in San Diego! I took a leap and booked the 2 weeks unlimited. In 2 weeks I noticed a drastic improvement in my body and mind, I am now hooked month to month! The improvement in my health, posture, strength, and mental well being is so worth the investment! Of all Pilates studios I've tried, there is nothing like BeFit, in the area. I appreciate the consistency of classes and the schedule (instructor's styles vary but classes are similar). My work schedule is constantly changing so I like that at any time, I can visit BeFit (at LBX or 2nd&Pch) and get a challenging full body workout. If you're a new client, I'd highly suggest taking a class with Sunny D, Riwone C. or Morgan S! From my experience, they are always there to support, provide cues, adjustments and modifications. Also they are very sweet and encouraging! Bring grip socks! Arrive 10-15 min early for parking and to learn about the machine. (after 5pm parking is best across the street by the Panini Kabob Grill) It's a challenging class, feels like it never gets easier, but modifications are always provided for all levels. read more

Pilates can be super intimidating, so I really think it's important for the instructors to be inviting and helpful , I've taken classes before but I wanted to try a new place out, I took Isabella o. At 7am and she wasn't helpful at all even after being told it was our first class! Also did not demonstrate the moves for us she just kept on going when we were lost! It was a small class also, I'm really disappointed, I believe she is new, so hopefully she can get better at demonstrating moves and be more helpful for others! Wanted to gatekeep this place because it is so awesome , but it is so great so need to share! Be Fit is my favorite Pilates studio, it is lagree style and a really great work out that is low impact but high intensity. I always leave here sweating and feeling strong! The location has plenty of parking. If difficult to find parking, just park in the TJMaxx/Ulta/Old Navy plaza across the street, no biggie. I've powerwalked over in 3 mins to make class and it's been fine each time on days that are busier. I usually take morning classes though before work so there's plenty of parking normally. Space is clean, new, with fans and spacious. The reformer is pretty intuitive. Mirrors are all around, not for each reformer, but for most, so I'd recc to get there early to get a reformer where you can see your form in a mirror. Also this is pretty minor, but a pet peeve is when studios have wipes that barely clean reformers post workout , but here at Be Fit I actually feel like the wipes clean the reformers well so yayy loll. Instructors-wise, I have taken classes with most, and my favorites are Jonathan and Heidi. They definitely have consistently challenging and fun classes every single time. I always leave class feeling stronger and a little bit more in tune with my body each time with them teaching. Jonathan is no longer teaching here, so sad!! I do recommend classes with him if you see him teaching at other studios. Heidi is awesome ! Her instructions are clear, she demonstrates the moves, and focuses on form, with great energy. I love that she explains which areas the moves target to help with mind and body connection. It is a full body workout each time, you get abs, arms, legs, glutes, you get it all with her classes. I love the variety! I also love that she gives modifications for all bodies, and has great transitions for breaks from being on wrists for too long that are much appreciated! Her music is so good too! She is a really great instructor all around. I've been at other Be Fit locations and this one is still my favorite ! I don't go consistently due to my wonky work/life schedules but I've been here 30+ times since opening week to now, and still enjoy it each time. Aiming for more consistency in the near future! I would loveeee if there would be more locations opening, like in LA in the future, hmm maybe Pasadena or SGV area or Studio City. Would recc Be Fit LBX? Yes! read more
