Although I've done a couple of Pilates classes before, I felt Be Fit had a good balance of challenging myself to push my limits while still enjoying my workout. The studio is on the smaller side and located inside PCH Mall. While parking in the structure is not free, there is free 2 hour parking in the back! My only gripe is that as a current graduate student, the classes are a little inaccessible, both time wise and price wise. Would highly encourage the studio to expand timing to accommodate Pilates members who have 9-5 work schedules, as well as more flexible pricing for students!

You'll definitely work out muscles that you didn't even know you had and some of the classes are so brutal. But it's totally worth it. All the coaches so far have been wonderful. The class setting is smaller so it feels more intimate. Nobody makes you feel awkward too if you have no idea what you're doing. Sometimes it can go a bit fast but the coaches do demo the exercises. I like this place a lot for reformer Pilates :)

I was welcomed and given a walk thru of the machine and terms as the instructor knew it was my first time. He was so kind to do that! I'm familiar with reformer and mat Pilates, and currently work out 5 days a week, so was interested in trying this out. Humbled af. It is very intense and the megaformer takes a lot of care to not get hurt. Overall a great workout! The studio is pretty big and roomy. Loved the aesthetic and mirrors everywhere. Very clean. Parking was annoying because you are at LBX. I'd recommend arriving at least 15 mins early. Overall, a cool workout but not for me and would not recommend for beginners.

I've never done Pilates prior to coming to Vero's and I l'm very glad I chose Vero as my first. The space is very cute and clean. I also love that it's only 4 people at most in a class. I had my consultation/1 on 1 with Sabine and she was kind enough to tell me the history of Pilates, naming and showing me positions, and everything I needed to know going forward. She did a great job showing me the ropes and setting me up for future classes. From there, Crystal very patiently worked with my schedule to find classes that I would fit in with as a beginner. Beyond that, she helped ease my nerves about being a newcomer and helped me feel really welcomed. Most of my classes have been with Aubre who has been nothing short of amazing. She tailors each class after what we need and she never misses! Aubre makes me feel welcomed and I've learned a lot about my body from attending her sessions. She's very good at ensuring we have the correct posture, preventing injuries in the long run. I appreciate her knowledge and how she shows it in her instruction. Eveline and Janet are also great. Eveline's classes are very informative and she does a great job creating a comfortable environment for everyone. Janet is very sweet and took the time to make sure I was doing okay during class. Her care was genuine and I'll never forget her kindness! Most of the people I've talked to only intended to try Pilates for a month or two but Vero's wonderful staff, space, and overall environment makes everyone stay much longer. I came with a friend and we had to wait outside for a little because the instructor did not arrive until about 5 min before class. It felt a little rushed to get settled in time and for check ins to be done re: how to use the machine etc. Although there were a variety of exercises throughout the class, I wish they were explained a little more thoroughly. As someone who is newer to working out/doing pilates, just using certain terms isn't enough for me as I found myself looking around at others sometimes to see how to do things. I believe there were about 10 reformer machines so it could also be that I need a smaller class for more individualized attention. The plaza it's in is convenient and has ample parking. Good experience but probably wouldn't come back.

After struggling with being motivated to exercise, I saw an ad on IG about a free intro class. Since the video had people using a machine (reformer), I thought I could do this more than yoga which is more unsupported. Also, I've tried at home vids before and I felt that I did not know the correct forms bec I did not have an instructor to notice and correct my positions. What encouraged me to try it out was after I filled out the free intro class form online, the person who called me seemed so nice and competent, even asking about any physical challenges I may have. At this point esp with a free class, there was no reason for me not to try it out! Bec of the person who called me, I felt they would understand such as if I had a hard time, etc. When I did the intro class with Mildraide (who soon became one of my favorites), I was shaking with some of the exercises, but she did not make me feel like a failure. She also greeted me with a genuine welcoming kind smile, so even if she has more of a drilling style, I did not feel intimidated. I left still pondering if I should do it, but what sold me was from that first class, I felt I could stand up taller, my limbs were more flexible, and I had a spring on my step. I am so glad one of their staff members, Cameron, convinced me because I have become healthier from doing pilates and always encourage my friends to try. This review is also for one of my other favorite instructors, Yulia, who's classically trained in pilates. Ever since I started taking her classes, I saw a big difference in the mirror and pictures and I am not so bloated and my shape is more defined. Honestly, that alone will make me keep on going, but I love the stress release and boost I get from exercising. I have since upgraded to 8 classes per month because my body started to crave the exercise. I almost want to gatekeep Yulia's class cause I never want to have to be on a waitlist, but I hope she will work at this location for a very long time. I am honestly impressed by the variety of exercises and how she knows how many reps are reasonable to expect per level. I since moved up to her level 1.5 bec I know it's appropriate to the level and won't leave me discouraged or incapable. She's very professional and never humiliates. The other instructors and staff are also great, particularly at this location. I think there is a special happy and caring feeling in this particular site, and whenever I have questions or need help about my account, I get really helpful responses. So all in all, this is just as excellent as a pilates club can be.

When I enter the Axis space I am welcomed by high ceilings, clean environment and many different workout equipment from Pilates to Gyrotonics. It is such a sweet space and both Karen, Chris & Fabi are so welcoming. Karen immediately assesses what my body needs and we begin my workout. I feel rejuvenated, younger and mostly full of energy after my hour workout. I find that my body craves these movements and my body feels renewed. An hour with Karen twice a week and I know my body is standing taller, I am more flexible and I am much more in touch with the movement of my body. It is an energy uplifter and I am so grateful to have Gyrotonics as a part of my exercise routine.

Most instructors are talented not only in their practice but in teaching their students. I learn and follow best by seeing a demonstration not just listening to a lecture. I had an instructor that just used the mic to give directions without showing us. One class resembled a karaoke session which was fun the first couple songs but it was dark and I couldn't see beyond the bodies next to me (they're closer than you think btw). I wasn't sure if I was using the correct form, where the instructor was, or what we were supposed to be doing. Fine for the advanced yogis but leaving us beginners lost. Overall I enjoy attending most classes here. A big issue is it's so crowded. During class you're almost on top of each other so much so that they have to stagger who bends where. The walkways get so congested and I didn't even take a chance with the locker rooms bc the people in there looked like sardines. I see so many studios other than Ra popping up left and right that it would probably benefit them to open up more locations.

I was on the waitlist for a 7:30 PM class and was only added at 7:00 PM--giving me just 30 minutes' notice. That evening, I came down with a fever. Wanting to be considerate and avoid getting other members sick, I had my partner go to the front desk in person to explain the situation and cancel. Despite this, I was charged a $10 cancellation fee. When I followed up, I was told they have a strict 'zero exceptions' policy. While I understand having rules around attendance, penalizing members for acting responsibly when ill, especially after being added from a waitlist on such short notice, is poor customer service. The facility and classes are great but this really rubbed me the wrong way.
