Props to the staff esp at the front desk checking us in and maintaining the studio. Parking can be difficult.. especially evenings and weekends. Plan to arrive early in case you have to park across the street. My main issues are with the strict membership policy and the crowdedness inside the studio. Most instructors are talented not only in their practice but in teaching their students. I learn and follow best by seeing a demonstration not just listening to a lecture. I had an instructor that just used the mic to give directions without showing us. One class resembled a karaoke session which was fun the first couple songs but it was dark and I couldn't see beyond the bodies next to me (they're closer than you think btw). I wasn't sure if I was using the correct form, where the instructor was, or what we were supposed to be doing. Fine for the advanced yogis but leaving us beginners lost. Overall I enjoy attending most classes here. A big issue is it's so crowded. During class you're almost on top of each other so much so that they have to stagger who bends where. The walkways get so congested and I didn't even take a chance with the locker rooms bc the people in there looked like sardines. I see so many studios other than Ra popping up left and right that it would probably benefit them to open up more locations. read more

I started in September of 2025 by using class pass. Was brand new to yoga and pilates and this was great because it was all on a mat and tbh I was afraid of the reformer. Ra Yoga is fantastic bc it offers all types of classes and instructors that you can try and see what and who works for you. The classes schedule is great for me as well. Space is clean. I've lost so much weight and built up my strength, endurance and stamina without getting hurt which is most important. read more

First time here and I loved the yogalates class! I would deff come back ! The energy, workout, lights, and playlist were all . I also want to give a huge shoutout to the front desk this was my first time, I timed it wrong from home (parking alone takes 10 minutes), and I showed up late for my ClassPass class. They were super kind and let me take the next class that started in 15 minutes. A++ customer service. Only downside was how packed it was; felt like sardines, especially for a hot class. i've been coming to this location for 4 years now, but I am still no where near great at yoga. It's taken some time to get know what instructors and classes I like. I would say from experience, if you don't like a class or have a negative interaction with an instructor don't write the place off. There are so many types of classes to try, and every teacher has their very own unique style. If you email Ra Yoga and explain your situation they are very understanding and will help you. The child care available with certain classes has been such a life saver. Not for the germophobes or those who like personal space... Personal Space: They cram everyone into the tiniest rooms and expect you to do the stretches without colliding with your sweat soaked neighbors. If they got rid of 4 spaces per room each row would have more space to spread out but there's no way you can do wall to wall stretch or bird dog without a strangers bare foot meer inches from your face. Also, when you're next to someone sweaty, depending on the class their sweat flings onto you. Hygiene: Everyone walks around barefoot with wreckless disregard I got so grossed out, after my first class I came with socks and felt slightly better. I think they swiffer the sweat between classes but I'm not sure if that's dry swiffer or actually disinfecting. The rings and blocks get wiped between uses by staff but the blocks are pourous so how well are they really being cleaned? No one wipes their weights either just straight back to the rack. Instructors/class offerings: Once you find an instructor/class you really like, it may only be offered once a week at one time slot so if you're busy you have to go to a different instructor/class and roll the dice. My favorite class was yogalates with Sunny (Shamtrice), Karen, and Fabian. They had the best balance between music volume and audible instruction. Other instructors who shall not be named are shouting over music or giving muffled instructions that you can't hear or follow. Ammenities: Appreciate that they had towels to rent if you forgot to do mat-laundry, and for a reasonable price, I think it was $3. I believe there's showers, lockers, and childcare if needed which could be convenient. Otherwise for class you just put your shoes into a shoe cubby and brought your water inside the room. Pricing: I felt the 4 class/month for ~$70 was fair for what it was worth. I just didn't love being locked into 6 month contract. I have submitted my cancellation request and it was honored quickly and in writing so there should be no issues. Results: The classes do work though if you're consistent. I have greatly increased my core strength, and relieved lower back pain. The App: Loved that there was an app to book classes, it was very easy to use and convenient. Overall: I would recommend this studio if you can mentally get passed being jam packed into a room small enough to generate your own microclimate/humidity with 35 strangers sweating all over you and questionably clean equipment! But if that doesn't sound fun then don't even bother. Try a 2 week pass and see if it's a good fit. I've never taken hot yoga anywhere else so I don't really have anything to compare it to, but I was pretty grossed out and had to suck it up for 6 months to fulfill my contract. 3 stars given for convinience and results 2 stars removed for the ick factor read more

Amazing teachers who have a passion for yoga. I am a long time member. For the most part yoga becomes a part of who you are and strenghtens the mind and body. Rayoga has three types of practices: Exercise driven, Yoga flow, hot and restorative. I for one started in the hot and restorative practice due to injuries from martial arts. It has allowed me to keep my body in great condition. As I started my diet, yoga has helped me to fit in my skinny jeans again and regulate my eating. I have lost nearly 50lbs on my journey and kept the skin firm and tight while doing that. read more

I don't like yoga. It's never been my thing. However, I was looking to try out different workouts, so I thought I'd stop in and see what this was all about. I did a hot yoga class in the latter evening, and let me tell you, it was hot. Like really hot. Hahaha. We were all dripping with sweat. When I first arrived, I saw that some people had Ra towels on their mats. I thought maybe they had some for us to grab for the class, but I guess they were individually purchased. It makes sense to have a towel during this, but it didn't cross my mind beforehand. I only brought a smaller one with which to wipe my face, etc. There were people of all levels in this class, though I was obviously on the newer end. I thought I did poorly, but the instructor told me afterwards that I did a good job and she was surprised it was my first class. I haven't been back since, but I still plan to do this again. read more

Strength class with Tatiana is one of my favorites and Jill's ra vinyasa is also very good . I like that they have a wide variety of teachers with their own style of teaching . I did a class pass for hot yoga. The check in was very easy. I was greeted and welcomed in. Once I said it was my first time I got a quick tour. The instructor was great and encouraging. She lead the class in the traditional way and for it being my first time doing hot yoga I did feel overwhelmed with the heat. I've been a loyal member of this studio since 2021 and currently pay for the highest-tier membership specifically because one of the advertised benefits is being able to book classes 7 days in advance. Over time, however, l've become increasingly disappointed by what appears to be inconsistent and selective enforcement of that policy. Certain members seem to be able to reserve classes earlier than the allowed booking window, despite no membership tier publicly offering that privilege. It has become difficult not to notice that these exceptions appear connected to personal relationships with instructors or front desk staff. What makes this especially discouraging is that many members are paying a premium specifically for early booking access. Allowing others to receive the same benefit outside of the stated membership structure feels unfair and undermines the value of what paying members are told they are receiving. More than anything, it's disheartening because yoga studios are supposed to foster fairness, inclusivity, and trust. When exceptions are quietly made for certain people, it creates the opposite feeling - that some members are valued differently than others. I truly enjoy many of the instructors and have considered this studio a safe and positive place for years, which is why writing this is disappointing. Concerns about this issue have already been brought forward and have gone unanswered, which only adds to the feeling that member concerns are not being taken seriously. I sincerely hope ownership takes a closer look at this and works toward a booking system that is transparent, ethical, and applied equally to everyone. read more

Used to be my fave spot despite the assigned spaces being too close and tight. Have gone a bunch as I have a 2 class a month membership. I went to Jill's class for the first time and actually enjoyed the vinyasa and had to leave a few minutes early cause I had to work. (This was the first time I ever left early) I quietly rolled up and tip toed out and she put her finger up at me and pointed at me like I was her child and said "Try to stay through the whole class." Extremely rude and disrespectful with her behavior (mainly the finger in my face). I've been to many classes where the teachers are understanding for those that need to leave early and don't say anything. She was not zen at all about it. More back story: i was on the waitlist so was made aware that morning I got in so that's why I was trying to squeeze yoga in before work as it was also the last day of my membership cycle (credits do not roll over). With only being allowed to book one day ahead most times, the classes are full so it's quite hard to plan if you are on a tight schedule. There is one other guy with blonde curly hair at the front sometimes that is really rude and unwelcoming as well. Other than those two, I actually really love the other staff so it's unfortunate that the other 2 have left a sour taste in my mouth. Before I used to tell everyone about how great of a studio it was. Now I'm debating if I should cancel the membership. read more

I've been a member at this yoga studio for years. They have reasonable membership costs and a great schedule with lots of variety. I'm a big fan of their Hot Ra (Bikram) and Vinyasa 2 classes, but they also have strength and yogalates for getting in better shape. The teachers and staff at this location are amazing and so kind. Ra Yoga also has 2 locations in OC that members can also go to (in case, like me, you live near one location and work near another). They also sell yoga merchandise and clothing if you need new supplies and rental mats and towels in case you forget one day to bring your own. read more

In terms of fitness, I love this studio! 5 stars! I've taken quite a few classes by now, and all the instructors are fit, knowledgeable, and challenging. I like to take yogalates or Ra strength to get a good workout, but the vinyasa classes are strenuous in different ways, too. I love the physical challenge the classes provide -- I always feel like I pushed myself in a new way with each class I take! However, I do feel like what keeps this studio from being perfecttt is the space. The studio is very cramped, and I know that's unfixable, but it's really frustrating to access the cubbies, restroom, and locker rooms because the space is basically a long hallway, and their classes are popular! There are always a lot of people, which shows their classes are great, but I always feel rushed and uncomfortable when starting/ending class because of the huge crowd that gathers in the same area. read more

Hot yoga is my favorite thing ever! I can only swing two classes a month, but I do really love the experience.

My friends and I signed up for a class pass trial and decided to try this place out! Parking is plenty but it can get crowded fast. There is extra parking across the lot but it is quite a walk. Just make sure to come early to find parking! It's best to bring your own yoga mat, water, and towel. There's a locker room if needed. You will need to bring your own lock if you want to use the locker. We did the Yin RaStore class. Since we were new, we didn't know what was going on and they didn't really tell us what we needed. I just followed the crowd and took the pillow, pillow cover, and a block. I should've also took the blanket. I wished they told us ahead of time that we can take everything in for the class. The class wasn't what I was expecting. It was more of a relaxing, slow, meditation kind of vibes. It wasn't a standard yoga class with poses. Next time, I'll try the regular yoga class. It was an interesting experience if you're looking to relax! read more

I really enjoy this studio. I had gotten into yoga a few years ago when I lived in Pasadena and core power was my local studio. I moved to Long Beach a couple years ago but there wasn't any cpy studios nearby. At the end of 2024 I did a trial membership with Ra and have been coming consistently since then. This studio has pretty much fulfilled. All of the yoga needs that I have. My go to classes are vinyasa 2 with Nate, Bobby, or johnny. I also consistently do Ra strength with Danielle. I discovered this studio through Groupon. I used to practice Bikram which I loved, but after some time, my blood pressure and the heat didn't get along anymore. I loved the movement and liked the warmth, but needed something different for a while. Maybe one day I'll give that another try. In 2022 I found a deal for Ra Yoga and it was tempting when I saw the variety of classes offered. I tried many instructors and classes at the Long Beach location since, from Soundbaths to Yogalates, Power and Ying. Sometimes the class was fine but the instructor's pace or way of teaching wasn't for me. Other times the instructor made me feel great for being in the class but the sequence or energy wasn't what I needed at the end of my work day. But then, I found the classes and instructors that worked for me. And I've been sticking with them. The point is, we all like different things and different classes and instructors will bring out the best in us (or not). So do yourself a favor and try different classes before you make up your mind about the studio. And be nice and polite and mindful and did I mention respectful and nice? It's an escape, it's a break, it's what we all need in a busy world filled with expectations and ambition. But it is a shared space, physically and mentally. You want motivation and someone who can make you feel like you can do it (whatever it may be for you that day)? Take Karen's classes. I personally think she has the power to take away my migraines but maybe that's just me. Need someone to work out all your kinks and make you wonder how your body can feel so many things in so many areas of your body in one class? Go with Nathan. Want to feel the energy and listen to some amazing music while you work your buns off? Yup, you can get that there too. Find your happy. I guarantee that you will find someone or some class at Ra that will make you feel better or stronger, 1 hour at a time. I personally love the Ra Yoga in Costa Mesa but this one does the job. They ask everyone to leave their belongings in cubbies (as other studies do) and I recently had my favorite pair of Rainbows stolen. They may have been taken by accident, but I'm not the type to steal someone else's. I asked if they had disposable sandals and explained what happened and their response was that it happens more than you think. They were apologetic but if this happens often, it'd be nice if they did something about it. I will be bringing all of my belongings to class moving forward. read more

As I progressed in my pregnancy I was limited in safe exercises I could do. RA Yoga is one of the few yoga studios that offer prenatal yoga and I came to love it. I was first introduced to RA Yoga through Class Pass and always came for their Hot Ra heated yoga classes. (I call that class a workout and built-in facial). I ended up buying a package and recently, the Prenatal Class with instructor Elizabeth has been my jam. Prenatal Yoga is offered twice a week, Monday & Wednesday, both at 12p. I adore the instructor Elizabeth. She brings warmth and knowledge to the practice and always starts with an intro session with everyone. It's a safe community of yogis and I even made a new friend during my first class that I still keep in touch with. One of my fave parts of the class is a prenatal version of savasana where we use the bolsters to prop us up and Elizabeth comes around to "tuck us in" with blankets and she sprays an aromatherapy spray that instantly transports you to a vacation retreat. I always leave so relaxed and rejuvenated. There are two large rooms with mirrors and the floors always feel clean, the air is well-ventilated (no musty smells going on), and the temperature is perfect. There are lockers (need to bring your own lock) and showers with toiletries provided. This location is new and such a beautiful studio. I always look forward to practicing on my mat at RA Yoga and plan to buy more packages. read more

I love this place! I purchased an unlimited essential membership after my 2 week trial because I enjoyed it THAT much. I've been coming here for over a year now and have had a great experience with many of the instructors. My favorites are Amber- she's super sweet and does sensual flows that have helped me feel in touch with my own body while getting a super fulfilling work out and Karen- Again, really sweet and insightful, absolutely love her level 2 classes as they are challenging mentally and physically. Front staff is always so so wonderful and accommodating too. Lately, they have been pretty busy and if you don't book early enough you'll get waitlisted and sometimes not get into the class, especially with the popular classes or ones on the weekend. There have been times I don't get a chance to even get waitlisted as ClassPass users have earlier booking windows. I wish Ra did something about this as I specifically only come here because of my membership. Unfortunately because of this, I will be cancelling my membership and switching over to ClassPass to book here and at other studios in the future. I understand classes getting fully booked isn't necessarily their fault so I'm still giving the full 5 stars because I think this place is fantastic and clearly other people are catching on too ;) read more

I took 500 yoga classes in 2 years oh la la. My paid unlimited membership will end July 2023. After that no more yoga for me until 2025. 500 Ra yoga classes are the most exercise class I did in my life :) I think I must spend at least 1000 hours at gyms & my cardio machines at home total...yet I still have tummy & I gain weight recently lol I continue to exercise in hope to lose weight & stomach fat soon. I take LESS yoga classes in 2023 because I'm bored of yoga after 500+ classes. Plus I put my heart & soul into learning tennis & play tennis well in 2023. read more
