I went into the store yesterday when I was experiencing something very difficult emotionally. David went above and beyond to assist me and did so with such courtesy and compassion for my situation. I went back in today to get a hotspot and David recognized me right away and while he was assisting me, he also took the time to check in with me and see if I was doing okay. I explained what I was in the market for and David suggested something that suits my needs even better than what I was looking for. He helped me setup up my account on the app completely and ensured my discounts were applied to my account. I'm very happy with the plan I have and I feel like it's a great value. Cons: This is not a Verizon "corporate" store; it is run by Victra. $50 restocking fee on returned devices. Must bring undamaged original packaging, receipt, and original payment method to return accessories. Must provide a Verizon account phone number to purchase accessories. Accessories are off-brand with lower features at higher price than OEM brand-name down the street at WalMart. Small variety; for example; no MagSafe wireless chargers on shelf and the no-name brand on the shelf was not magnetic. The "cons" outweighs the "pros"; do not recommend. read more

I went into the store in Yelm this past weekend needing to get a PIN number so I could transfer my number to another carrier. I had a very bad experience with another Victra Verizon store and based on that had set up a plan with another carrier. Cody was the agent in the Yelm store that day and he was AMAZING! Knowing what I needed the number for, it wouldn't have surprised me if he had not been helpful. Instead he not only solved my problem (not easy), he was friendly, helpful and understanding. If I had gone to him with my initial problem, rather than the other Victra store, two "customer service Verizon reps on the phone AND an actual Verizon store in Olympia, I would STILL be a Verizon customer! He gets the simply best reviews I can leave! (Interesting to note to, that the people he was finishing with, as I walked up, told me I was getting the best agent there was. So not just me!). I don't know why everyone has something bad to say about this store. I've been here several times and have had no issues. Yes sometimes the wait was long; but that's what appointments are for. I'm always a walk in and it's a shorter wait time than a hair cut. Yelm is an over populated town. Show some respect and treat them the same way you want to be treated. The store is a racket. You will always wait there a minimum of an hour. They'll try to upsell you on everything. They sold me $120 charger and cord for my phone told me it was a lifetime warranty three months later it's no good I go in there and they tell me oh You need to contact this company for a replacement after the guy who sold it to me told me I could walk in the store and just they would replace it anytime in store they'll tell you whatever you want to sell you shit but all the fine print comes up when you go back I know it sucks to drive all the way to Olympia to go to a real Verizon store and trust me this is not a real Verizon store but if you factor in the long wait times and the dishonest sales tactics, it's very worth it to make the trip. I went to the store today intending to switch our service provider to Verizon. I had previously spoken with a rep over chat about the rates and military discounts they offer. The person assisting me at the store mentioned a few times, "Just a heads up, Verizon will be more expensive than what you have right now," implying that if I am looking for cheap service, it's not going to happen. I asked specifically about the rates without getting a new iPhone and then with a new one, but the information I received was a bit confusing. When I asked for the total cost with all the discounts applied, he quoted a number almost $35 more than what I was originally told. When I questioned this and asked him to check again, he seemed annoyed that I was asking. I left the store annoyed that the representative didn't even try to help me or take the time to verify the information to assist with my decision. Frustrated, I called Verizon and they were able to help, giving me the same quote I was previously provided and even waiving a one-time fee for the inconvenience. I guess I should thank the rep at the store for not helping. However, I'm really disappointed with the service, so I will be handling everything online from now on. read more

I've been to a few Verizon stores and this one is by far the worst. We went in today with a specific iPhone we wanted to upgrade to, but both staff members there were very pushy and informed us we were choosing the wrong phone (both were obviously android users). I have no qualms about sharing opinions, but my husband and I both felt almost bullied and as if our selections were wrong ("iPhones are so hard to use" "they aren't user friendly" "the camera on this [way more expensive] android is so much better") even after stating we have owned iPhones and love them. There were only two staff members, and even the one working with another customer stopped what she was doing to come tell us our choice was wrong.. (with very awkward glances from her customer as his service was put on hold so she could tell us how wrong we were). We just wanted to have the last version of the IPhone (14), but instead were pushed to get one of the newest Samsung model (which cost significantly more). I felt that we were not listened to, despite coming in knowing what we wanted. Terrible salesmanship, and we will not be going back there. Even after stating what phone we wanted, we were left off with "well I'm not sure if we can order that..." really? There's no way you couldn't order the last model of iPhone? We left so disgruntled and annoyed, and it really colored our opinion of Verizon after this encounter. read more

This is the worst Verizon store on the planet. It's close to me is the only reason I have dealt with them this long. Charge $3.00 to pay your bill if you use cash. Stupidest thing ever. Every time is at least a 15 minute wait to pay a bill and today I went in with a unlocked phone and they couldn't seem to get it to work. In the middle of all of that he erased all my pictures in the Verizon cloud. I came home and called cooperate and yep, all pictures gone. And they sent me a new sim card and it works. Prior to today I'd always had a great customer experience. Today not so much. I bought an S21 on 7/25 and was told a bunch of information including that I could return the phone within 30 days. I went in today to return it to go back to an iPhone because I just dont like the android system. I was told I couldn't return it without the box.... seriously?! No one told me I had to have the box to return. It also came to mind that I may not have taken the box. There were so many people in that store and my 5 mo was in the car with my Mom fussing. Mom brain sucks. The guy at the counter threatened that he could just view the cameras to see if I was telling the truth. Wow! Unbelievable. I then explained that I have an extra box from my husband's phone that's the exact same as mine. But no, I couldn't do that. I explained I was never informed that I had to have the cardboard box to return it. That makes no sense. He then said he'd have to contact his district manager to see if they could approve it. He'd "call me back". All the while he's being condescending while I explained I'd worked in retail most of my life and I had to go over the receipt because so many people miss the details. He kept saying okay, and not even looking at me to acknowledge that I understood the situation but I wasn't told to keep the box. Needless to say I called corporate, guess what? They told me it was perfectly okay to take in my husband's box and return it. Now I'm heading to another store to get this taken care of. Today is 8/5, and I'm not sure what the guys name was but it wasn't the shorter guy, this guy had a nose piercing. Each customer is worth the time to go over everything in detail otherwise you wind up with these problems. Sales is hard but if you're going to do it do it right, not every customer is right so long as you do your job. This guy today clearly doesn't, and this isn't the first problem I've witness him have by his fault. I witnessed him not checking licenses while authorizing transactions that shouldn't have gone through without authorization by the account holder. I don't fault Dexter, only that he go over details better but this guy today was a jerk and too concerned with the next guy in line. read more

I went into the store tired, frustrated and with a slow simmering anger at Verizon. We needed to replace a broken phone, and the other two Verizon stores my daughter had tried had been worse than unhelpful to her. It was half an hour before closing, we were tired and prickly. Then we encountered Curtis James. He listened to our tale of frustration and helped us access the account, looked at it, asked what we needed in a phone, and found that phone for us. Courteous, patient, and above all kind to customers who had already had a terrible day. This store and this employee kept us Verizon customers when I was absolutely ready to switch carriers. If you live in Olympia, make the drive to this store. Much kinder, more knowledgeable and more efficient than the Verizon store in the mall. read more

WARNING!! Do not go to this store! I returned a phone in March of 2017 and now I am in collections with Verizon because the phone was not returned properly on their end. I receive phone calls everyday from Verizon collections about this matter. I've talked to the store themselves about this matter and was given a number to give to the collections folks. It doesn't help. I've called multiple times and given my number for them to call me back in regards to this matter and so far I have received zero phone calls in return. Honestly, I'm disappointed. I came here because this place has great reviews, I don't know how considering all the employees are incredibly unprofessional, and the store manager doesn't know what she's doing. I had gone in to get info on their plans and their phones, seemed great and I'd be back on the first. Fast forward to the first, I come in, get signed up, it takes about 2 and half hours to get my phone set up, my bf got a new phone as well...it took them half an hour since he had an existing account already. I had to get a 64gb iPhone(they said they didn't keep 128gb in stock in any store anywhere) so I took the 64 cause I'd be out of a phone on the 4th, I went in yesterday to pick it up, store manager didn't know how to do an exchange/return so she had an employee do it instead...I gave them my old phone, which I felt was in great condition, the cover that protects the charger broke off without my knowledge of having it, ok, no big deal. He took the back cover off and said there was water damage, which is bullshit, I take extra care of my phones and always keep it away from any water or area that has water...I firmly believe he was just trying to down value my phone...which I got a 30 dollars reward for a phone I paid 700 bucks for...what a deal, right? During my two visits, there was employees were SICK and coughing, texting while helping me out, showing gorey photos from Facebook, and not helping customers out...there was one just sitting around while there was 3 other people. I also got charged insurance for accessories which was 80 bucks, I sent an email to the store manager asking if I could somehow get that refunded. Nope, not a email replies back, it's been a full twenty four hours, and she's pretty quick to reply to emails too...please avoid going here, they only want your money(which an employee joked about asking if he can take all my money). Just upgraded two phones. Manager convinced me that I would get a better deal through them rather than going through Verizon direct. Was TOLD I had to pay $200 per phone, and when I checked billing found I was still paying full price for the phones. I was also told I would receive $12.50 off per phone because of the Black Friday Promotion. I just called Verizon, the promotion had expired and they did not see my $200 per phone down payment. Found out by calling GoWireless corporate that the "down payment" was actually for come go advantage plan. Nothing was said to me that I was paying $200 per phone for a plan that I did not want. Bottom line, they ripped me off. Don't go through any of these swindle stores, go directly to Verizon. The only difference is that you will have to wait about two days to get your phone. Certainty not worth $400 to get the phone a few days earlier. When I tried to call the store direct, there was no answer. read more

I was not told all the details of the edge program. I purchased three new cellphones and left that day with them. Several weeks later I went to pay my bill and was told I owed over 600 dollars for phones that were not retuned as part of the edge program, but I was never informed that I was supposed to do this. Additionally, the day of the transaction I gave them my current cellphone which I was replacing to them and because it was cracked it would not have been returnable anyways which I am just now finding out, was discarded into their trash. When I went into the store the employees i was working with admitted it was their fault completely but refused to take the charge off of my account. Because this is not a true Verizon they are more concerned about their personal profit rather then genuine customer service. I would definitely recommend making the trip to Olympia rather than have the misfortune to deal with the current area manager, Amber Ellis. Absolutely disgusted with the level of service and return policy. My husband (who recently suffered from a stroke that impacts his ability to retain information)went in to find out about a hot spot or a wireless device that would be compatible with our children's online school. The salesman assured him the two tablets he sold him could do EVERYTHING a computer can....well come to find out they do not have a flash player that can support the classroom based learning app. When I went back to return the tablets (4days later), neither salesman was helpful; told me it would be $70 dollars each tablet to return it and 25% for each accessory (they up sold my husband on six different accessories). They acted like they could care less about the tablets being incompatible and I was out of luck. We will never use this location again, they took advantage of my husband, and lied about the capability of their products. Do yourself a favor and do not get anything done at this store. They sold me a contract on terms that turned out not to exist with Verizon, when I wanted to turn in the phone after seeing the first bill, they convinced me they would fix it. It never got fixed and the same bills came rolling in. when asked to disconnect and make right their wrong I had to follow up for 2 months and counting and never got a straight answer. They blame Verizon, asked me to return the phone, then tell me I own the phone and should pay for it, then Verizon tells me the store owns the phone and they do not know how things work. I call and they do not return my calls... spend long times on hold, without anyone getting back to me. It is by far the worst, most incompetent service I have ever encountered. Nice people however, but without any knowledge or apparent power to do anything about the things they commit you to, it is frustrating to the max. The manager of the store April tells me again and again she will get it solved and had not been able to after more than two months of calling her, her store rep Todd, does not seem to know what Verizon does or does not offer or who owns the phone. Now they end up wanting me to pay for the phone that they actually owe me money on, since I tried to return it within the 14 day period (then they return the tax you paid on the phone because you are still in the trial period) but they stopped me saying they would fix the bill, which they never did. Do yourself a huge favor and do not get anything done through them, even Verizon says it is better not to deal with them, but better to go to a Verizon store, not an independent store like gowireless, they just don't know what they are doing and the mess they get you in, they don't get you out of and then you pay the price in the end.
