[Location]-- located very close to the super busy Tacoma Mall area. The parking area is very small-- only having 4 or 5 spots, so it can be a pain to get out when the area is busy. Other than that, the store is clean and there aren't any people loitering there. [Experience]-- the employees were pleasant to interact with. I needed a car key replaced and initially the associate wasn't sure their machine could replicate my car key due to how worn it was, so she refunded the programming fee and had me find someone to manually cut it. Fortunately, Home Depot's (they can also replicate most car keys even if they have transponders) machine replicated the key perfectly, so I came back to this location and she was able to use their software to program the key to my car. Overall, I paid $122 for them to do so. It's entirely possible to do this yourself if you order a kit or have two car keys, but considering I needed it done ASAP I am very grateful for this service and I don't think the price is that bad. read more

We were directed to this store, and they were extremely helpful. They offered to loan us tools to take our battery out and replace it, but then the sales guy just walked over to our car, and jump started it. Over the phone they quoted an amazing price to re-build a NiMH battery pack of $39.99. I gave them the capacity and number of cells so this shouldn't have been a "guesstimate". This price was about on par with an Amazon replacement, though of course Batteries Plus claims their cells are fresh and would live longer than the "knockoff" pack. When I showed up, the price jumped to $49.99 due to the cell size? I found this irritating and slightly unbelievable. Sure, some markup is fair and they are a "brick and mortar" store so I can understand a small squeeze. I reluctantly accepted the new price and left, less than excited but still fine. Then when I called to pick up my battery, the price has jumped to $89.99 for 50% LESS CAPACITY?! To rebuild to the full 4000mah, I was quoted $109.99 and they would have to order parts. Surely this all could have been determined during my initial phone call rather than suckering me into coming into the store?? This place is a scam. Just buy OEM, it is cheaper and less frustrating. read more

i bought two car batteries paid a core for both. When went to swap out batteries for my son, they had given me the wrong batter. so my son went back in with the old battery and returned the new one for the correct one. They installed it for my son, took his core and gave him $20 for a core he had with him. The other new battery I had was for my daughter and I changed it out two weeks later. When I went back in to exchange the core they said no, we already gave you back both. I said no you didn't, I have the core right here. Basically the manager is calling me and my son. I verified and he only had one core with him. I will never shop there again and I hope you don't either. read more

Two weeks later I changed my daughter's battery out and when I took the core in they said I already got it. Someone was lying and it wasn't me. I recently purchased a new battery for my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee when I drove it home I noticed the passenger seat back cover was no longer attached properly. The battery is located under the passenger seat. I stopped by later in the week to order a new key fob and have them check the seat back cover that covers the airbag and an employee looked at it denied any responsibility for the damage, told me to take it to the dealer. I decided to wait until my key fob came in to complain again about my seat back. They again said take it to the dealer for a repair and estimate. The dealer quoted over 200.00 just to look at it, not including any parts. I then noticed my new key fob was not programmed correctly so returned to the store to have them fix it and give them the quote from the dealer. The manager came out to talk to me and denied any responsibility and said they would not pay for the damages and said I couldn't prove it was done by their technician. After spending over 600.00 there I was appalled and upset at the way they treated me as a paying customer. This dispute will be taken to the next level. Beware of this establishment because they are argumentative, irresponsible, and rude when faced with a customer that only wants his car put back to the condition it was when I brought it in. read more

I came in to get my cracked (but still working) iPhone 11 screen fixed. Drop off went smooth and they called after 40 minutes to let me know my phone was ready for pick up. Great! But wait..... When I picked it up, the new phone screen was totally unresponsive! Since they didn't have a backup screen in stock, they put my old screen back on (which I had to wait around another 30 min for) and returned it to me with 1% battery left. When I got home, my old screen (which had previously been 100% functional) was phantom clicking all over the place - so now I HAD to get it replaced. I went back in the next morning to get it fixed again. Everything went smoothly, and seemed to be working fine, so I annoyingly paid (full price) for the service and went home. Much to my displeasure, I realized the FaceID was not working with the new screen replacement. Truly dissatisfied and really exhausted with trying to get this fixed. Not happy with the customer service... never heard a peep of an apology from anyone. This experience really felt like it stole half my weekend away from me. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

So I went in to cancel the special battery order for my cochlear processor. (Before going to the local store, I went on line and ordered the battteries from a company that gave me a delivery date to my home. Got a delivery date within 5 days of placing my order on a Friday.) They tell me they just had called my home to tell me the batteries were in, after I waited 11 days with no idea of when they would come in. Oh and the staff disappeared and left me to the only clerk at the register to deal with the credit for my cancelled order. Clerk then tells me it can take up to two weeks to get an order in. I find that unacceptable in this day and age of merchants wanting a person's business. Seems the management doesn't care to face a disgruntled customer in person when they are in the store. Then I get a phone call from the owner to call him back to discuss my original review. You must be joking that I want anything to do with your company after the way you handled things the first time around. So suck it up Battery+Plus and do a better job of providing the items in a timely manner to your customers. Fix your web page so it shown when one can expect to receive their online orders as well. read more

I got a $10 discount also by scheduling this online so the overall price was at a good price and it didn't take long for them to install the battery in my phone. I've been shopping here since they opened 5 or so years ago. They carry or can get any battery one might need from automotive, electronic to something as simple as a car remote door key battery. I had a pleasant experience with Batteries Plus fixing my phone. My phone wouldn't turn on one day but I wasn't sure if it was the battery. I called to check if it wasn't the battery, would they still be able to fix it. The guy on the phone was super helpful and even checked to see if they had a battery for my phone in stock (it's a super old iphone model) and they did! He said to bring it in so they could run diagnostics on it that would tell me if it wasn't the battery. I asked if I needed to make an appointment and he said no but that I should make an appointment online so I can get a $10 off coupon. Sweet! After making the appointment online I immediately went to the store and was greeted by Michael. He got me checked in and made me feel confident that they could help. He let me know that if it wasn't the battery, they would not charge me. When I returned to the store Michael said they replaced the battery and were able to turn my phone back on and I was so relieved. So overall, great experience! The only reason I gave an 4 stars instead of a 5 was because I had expected Michael to call me to let me know my phone was ready and I never got a call. Michael had originally gave me an ETA of about an hour and a half, but I asked him to call me when they knew more about my phone, we even confirmed the number he should call me on. There was a lot going on in the store though and I know that sometimes these things slip through the cracks. But I was sitting in the parking lot waiting for them to call me and when it hit the two hour mark is when I finally decided to go back into the store to check the status of my phone. I feel like I probably waited an hour longer than I needed to. Or maybe he was just about to call me before I walked in? Who knows. I want to give Michael and Batteries Plus the benefit of the doubt because they did go above and beyond in other ways. I will return to Batteries Plus for my future battery and cell phone repair needs and I will recommend them to my friends and family. Perhaps management can put a better system in place so that customers are contacted when their phones are ready. My time is valuable and it really makes a big difference! Thanks guys! read more

Walked in at 6pm on a Wednesday just to pick up a little 2 pack of disk batteries for a runners light I have. Front door was propped open and gave me a welcome beep, no employee were in the storefront when I walked in. I found the batteries right away. Stood there at the register for 8-10 minutes waiting to be checked out, awkwardly checking out the products by the register. I could hear people talking and laughing in the back. I visited here twice to see about getting a new key fob programmed. The sales guy told me if I bought the key fob online they could cut and program the key. So I ordered the correct one online and went in to have it cut. A different guy told me Saturday was a bad day to get a key done. Too bad, I work during the week. He called his boss and they pretty much told me I needed a second key because they might ruin the one I had in the key cutting process. I was irritated because I wouldn't have gone out of my way to visit them if they hadn't told me they could do it. I ended up back at the dealership anyway. I had gotten my ipad fixed elsewhere (not here) in January. In May, I was on a trip and the glass got cracked again. It wouldn't have been such a big deal, but it wasn't hit very hard at ALL. Like it fell against a seat belt buckle or something. I took it in to get repaired here (I didn't even know they DID the glass for tablets!) and found out that the 'other' place hadn't used actual iPad glass and my guess was that it was why it cracked so easily. 30 dollars less and real glass!! Customer service! I never thought I would really visit one of these stores, but when my Prius 12v battery died they were one of the few places I could find with them in stock. I removed my battery which is mounted in the hatchback in the parking lot and brought it in. I was gonna put new one in but dude insisted he do it as it would be replaced if he dropped it or screwed it up but not if I did. OK then. But that is when I found out you can't open the hatch back without a battery! He crawled in back and did the job quick as could be. I checked the installation when I got home and it was installed perfectly. When he was done I asked about old iPhone battery replacement, and he said sure can. It was my next planned stop but since I was here I handed it over. He said it would be ready soon but I was not needing it and came back for it a few days later. It was ready and worked fabulously. Only $69! When there I saw them checking all kinds of stuff for people like old cameras, not just selling them a new battery until they knew that was the problem. Nice job! read more

My battery recently died while out running errands. I had planned to leave overnight and return the next day and replace it myself. While I was waiting for a ride, I called Batteries Plus to price out a new one. Joe greeted me on the phone. Told him my story and he asked where I was. I told him and he said he was just getting off work and if I like would bring me a new one and throw it in. I could tell by his tone he was seriously trying to help. I came in last week with a broken IPhone 8 Plus screen. I met with Tyler, who was more than accommodating. After about an hour, I returned and he notified me that the screen was repaired, but the home button didn't work (faulty from factory). Tyler ensured that I would not only get a replacement screen, but that he would put two aside just in case and throw in a screen protector. I came in today to have the old screen swapped out and everything went as planned. I'll definitely be returning for any phone/battery repair. read more
