Bought an X2 3 years ago. a year ago it started having issues holding a charge that progressively got worse. Had the store charge the battery twice (each time when I installed a new alternator) and the issue never went away. Asked if they could just replace it since it is still under warranty and the manager told me no because there was not enough charge on the battery. Will not purchase from them again. The battery was good for 2 years though but that is not much for a battery that cost over $400. EDIT: Called customer service as I was asked. They understood the issue and also could not understand how the store thought the battery could be over 10 volts if it is not taking a charge but the owner still refuses to replace. Frank What would've been nice is if you would've honored your insurance policy, considering the wrong screw got put into my watch because she lost it She told me my watch would be replaced, but when I came back, she refunded me for my battery. She did not return the screw that she lost. She only said The policy covered the battery which I paid for the higher policy. That is supposed to cover a brand new watch. On this watch it's only $80. So yes, there's a lot more you could do. On your policy, stand by your word and your products. I've worked retail. I know these problems start at the top. read more

I took my cat remote in to have the battery replaced. Had to wait a long time while two technicians fiddled with a guys watch battery. Finally got service. The tech quoted me $14.00 for a replace battery for each remote or I could get a "lifetime" deal for $26.00 each. He seemed quite annoyed when I asked what a "lifetime" deal was. He opened my remote and told me that that one was a "lifetime" deal and wouldn't cost me anything ( apparently there is secret code mark inside) Since the first one was free I decided to replace the battery on my other two remotes. When I went to pay the technician, he asked for my phone number which he said wasn't in the system and therefore I couldn't get the "lifetime" free deal. It seems to me that the "free" deal ought to be with the remote battery not the phone number in the system set-up but. No dice for me. I think it's a scam. Plus, how many times in the life span of your car are you going to replace the battery in the remote and if you sell it ... the next guy can't get the "lifetime" deal. read more

In the last week I have been to both the Tacoma and the south hill Puyallup location. Both place had what I needed and both were friendly. My only dissatisfaction was the fact that I was unable to order a case lot of the product I needed. I don't know if it's just not available, or they are unable to sell a case of batteries. I won't use them again! I ordered a battery online that was very specific to my make and model and used mine as an exchange. I gave mine to clerk, he gave me the new one and the receipt. I don't believe a single word was spoken by him. After arriving home which was 30 miles away, I discovered the new battery was not the right one. I called them and they said they couldn't exchange it as I had already activated it. I am sure it must have been obvious to the sales person that the batteries were not compatible and that I should check it before I charged it, I wouldn't be writing this negative review. Paid online for my batteries, and the online listing showed a blister package of 10 batteries in the picture, and provided no other details except the battery type. The price was $4, which matches up to basically every other online retailer's pricing for the blister pack that contains 10 batteries. I got to the store to pick up my order and they stapled a single battery separated from the blister pack to my receipt. I looked at the lady weird and said "where are the others?" She said my order was a QTY of 1, thus one battery. I told her the online order showed a 10-piece blister pack, her reply "yeah that's just what they show but it's one battery...did you need more?" I told her I was expecting a few more included in the pack, and she just said "sorry it's only one battery". So, two problems here: The online listing is incorrect, if I'm to believe the store associate, which is a BIG issue since common retail pricing for these is for the entire pack...that, and her attitude toward the situation was basically "yeah, we know it's wrong, you're SOL". In both cases, that's piss poor customer service. Either the online listing is correct and the store is lying/wrong, or the online listing is wrong and the stores are aware of it and don'e care. I would never go here again, or order online. This company needs to be put out of business. read more

Was referred to Battieries Plus Tacoma by a friend. Tech was helpful in finding a replacement laptop battery. It was ~$99.95. I asked him if I could use my 10% off coupon. He said fine. When he began to ring the sale I brought up the 10% off coupon on my smart phone and he said you have to have the paper coupon. Whaa? I showed him the code on the smart phone and asked if his manager could approve the exception. He said no...must be a paper coupon. People are no dummies. Batteries Plus finance policies have set this up so people with smart phones and coupon codes will give up and pay the difference to get their problem solved. Cha Ching Batteries Plus just made another 10% with little effort. This is a good example of subtle bait and switch--the on line coupon states "must present coupon" to most that means a smart phone screen coupon is just fine. But no these folks want to extract every penny so they insist on a paper print out of the on line coupon. (Is that an oxymoron) They also have not empowered their staff to use common sense to provide better customer service! Management has developed a culture employing inflexible staff who refuse to see the bigger picture of giving the better value to your customer. PS. If you're looking for a specific battery that they don't carry, there's a good chance the staff will be able to order it for you or recommend another place to try. If you just need a couple for AAs for the remote control, they've got hose too. Each time I've visited this store I've been treated to friendly, professional, and prompt service from the staff-- not at all the experience of trying to find a specific product at a big-box retailer. We had an outstanding experience at Batteries + and we will definitely be back. At our seasonal motorhome "check up," we learned that we needed three batteries and it would cost $750 including installation. We opted to do it ourselves and purchased them at Batteries + on the way home. Great, we were happy. Installed them, we were even happier. Happiest? Well that came when our salesperson, Peyton, called a week later. Two of the three batteries went on sale the next day (for a combined $85 savings), so he had the self initiative to talk with his manager and once he received his approval, Peyton called us to arrange for a refund of the difference in the sale cost. We are so impressed with this young man and we will be repeat customers because of him. As if that wasn't enough, Peyton arranged for us to finalize this transaction in our hometown of Olympia, for our convenience - and called us while we were at Batteries + in Oly just to make sure we were satisfied. I recently needed to replace the battery on my Polar heart rate monitor. One would think that the perfect place for this was a store with word "battery" in its title. Well, my friend, if this was your philosophy you are wrong. I walked in and explained to Steve what I needed. Like a true professional, he took out a tool of his trade to remove the backing piece that secures the battery. That is correct, he took out a quarter. Steve then began to try to open the sensor's cover for a few seconds by unscrewing it with the quarter. When that failed to work, like an artisan of his craft, Steve moved to his next option. He began banging it on the counter. This was very similar to a gorilla attempting to open a coconut. I politely asked him to be careful and asked him if he could be careful and if he had a something more practical to use, like a screwdriver. Steve, then handed me back the sensor and said, "Here, why don't you do it?!" I left and just ordered the batteries on Amazon. The store may be a good option if you want to make a purchase and bring it home. However, I would not recommend asking Steve to perform any task other than swiping your debit card. read more

Excellent products and excellent service. The Tacoma Store location is very convenient for me and they will install your car battery immediately if easily accessible. My last battery got weak so I purchased a new one on line because of the large discount. Went into the store on a Sunday and when they took the old one out I discovered it was one of theirs and less than two years old. The car would not start after sitting overnight even if charged the previous day. Since it was still under warranty they checked the computer to see my purchase. It didn't show up but they later said they had some computer problems during Covid and it may have been lost. They checked my old battery and found it was still within specks but gave me a new one anyway. My car starts great now and turns over twice as fast. They were so accommodating and polite and the managers was great. I'm going to be using the Tacoma Mall store for all my future purchases. read more

It is wrong even on there own website! They have a very small sign on there old location saying there new address. How hard is it to update your websites, and 3rd party sites when you move. Come on. My service (cell coverage) was terrible in places it shouldn't be, my text messages would send out in duplicate (sometimes 4 or 5 times!), and my front camera wouldn't focus. DO NOT go to this location or any other batteries and bulbs plus to have screen work done on your phone. I went in for a simple iPhone 7 plus screen repair and when the phone was returned to me, there was a noticeable lip between the screen and body of the phone and the colors on the screen were significantly more dull than what they should have been. I returned to the store to show them and they stated that it was probably a manufacturer issue with the screens they use. Was told to leave the phone and they would repair it when another screen came in. Fast forward a week and I pick up the phone with screen replacement number two and the same thing. Noticeable lip and the colors are off. Their solution? Have me return to the store and put my original cracked screen back on. So after over two weeks of being jerked around by this store, I've wasted my time and money (gas and time off work) only to end up going thru apple for a replacement. For the record. Depending on sales and discounts this store will charge you 180 for the work and it will be sub par. Apple charges 150. The only advantage is that this store will repair it same day but apple takes your phone and mails it in, fixes it, and mails it back (all in all one to two weeks). Save yourself the 30 bucks and the headache because you do NOT want to give your business to this store. They use cheap replacement screens and their work is below manufacturer standard. And on top of all that their employee repeatedly called me after I expressly asked not to be contacted by anyone other than the store manager. read more

My only gripe is that my friend that referred me was charged $120 for a screen replacement & a new battery on the same exact phone. We were charged that same amount for just the screen.
