I really appreciate the the help that the manager, Clayton Davis, and Bobby Daws, the installer, gave me so that I could make decisions as to the work needed. I first called for an appointment, and they suggested that I go online and place an order so as to define what-all I needed to have done on my car and they would be ready when I walked in. I buy the best battery I possibly can from them and it dies and doesn't came back within a year. They warrantied the first one out and that was a process, this one they claimed to be warrantying out but I gave it to them in December and when I called about it the first time In January they said something about a delay at the manufacturer. It's now the end of February I talked to someone because a manager wasn't in the store he said something about them not warrantying it since it's already been swapped out, a manager was supposed to call me on Monday, but either they weren't told or they failed to perform. . April 25, 2019 I bought the first one . July 2020 is the date on my Yellow top Optima battery that now won't hold a charge and hasn't sense November 2021 . February 25 2022 I'm done with this company, my cars been sitting since December their management and products are junk. It's no wonder their parking lot and store is empty. I've had good luck surprisingly with Walmart batteries, that's where I'm going from now on. I own a towing company and have no less than 100 vehicles that need batteries from tow trucks to trailers to tractors and my car collection. Clayton was awesome in getting the issue For my iPhone resolve the store in Tacoma just sold me a new battery which did not fix the issue, he diagnosed it and it was the charging port that was broken. A few days later I purchased a battery at O'Reillys for my motorcycle build and they sold me the wrong size and type he was able to give me the right one and also put the acid in the battery & charged it overnight for free. Brought in some fluorescent tubes to recycle as advertised on the Pierce County website. There's was no mention of any cost to do so. As it turns out if the tubes are over 4 foot there's a .25¢/ft charge. The clerk was nice enough to wave the charge for this drop-off. Props for the great customer service. read more

The hours listed online are not set in stone. The last two times I have gone to this location the doors have been locked. The most recent experience was this morning at 8 AM. There was a girl sitting on a chair and she kept staring at me and would not unlock the door. It's freezing outside so I went to my car and called. A gentleman answered and I asked him if they were open. He said that they were open but he was not unlocking his doors because he was working with the truck driver. I asked if he could let me in because it was very cold. I told him that there was a girl inside. He was very rude and snapped back saying that his daughter could not let me in and he would get to me in five minutes or so. I needed a new screen for my Phone and called Batteries +. I made an appointment but when I arrived had to deal with a difficult employee. I didn't get the service done and sent an email to the manager, Jaime. I heard back very quickly. Jaime set everything straight and got my phone in record time. The other employee in the store was also very friendly and apologetic for the issue I had. Jaime is absolutely fantastic and the phone works great. In May we took our IPhone to get repaired at Staples, new battery and new screen so we could surprise our son with it for his birthday in June. Well, the phone doesn't hold a charge and it looks like the screws were mixed up. Took it back to get it fixed, they've stopped doing repairs and we have no recourse except going to their other locations in Aberdeen or Chehalis. We opted to try this place instead. When we walked in we were immediately greeted. I wish I would have gotten the name of the guy who was so helpful, but he talked to us through the whole process of what went wrong during our last repair. He was just going to switch the screws and voila! Unfortunately, that wasn't the only Issue, whoever repaired it put the tape on the wrong way and the "new" battery we got from Staples bulged and bubbled the screen. He gave us the old battery to show Staples and replaced it with a new battery. My son is now enjoying his "new" phone and I have a new place to go to when I need a phone repaired. read more

My 16 year old took her phone there to repair a cracked screen. When she went back up she back to pick it up they told her they accidentally pulled some wires and broke her battery. They replaced her battery but they also broke the "vibrate motor" told her they would give her $20 off the screen replacement and charged her $139 for fixing her screen even though they broke her phone while replacing the screen. By the time she got home her phone wouldn't even turn back on. Had to call and talk to manager to get refund for my daughter, he never once apologized for my daughters phone being broken, he just kept repeating that they gave her a $20 discount, it's unacceptable that they even charged her AT ALL when they acknowledged they broke their phone while repairing the screen. Thought this would be more convenient and easier than dealing with the phone insurance, lesson learned the hard way. read more

So I don't even live in the Puyallup area, dropped my car starter/lock fob on the ground, broke apart, did not want to drive all the way to the car dealership to fix it (or have them charge me for a new one ) so after reading reviews I hustled down Meridian, and there was Jamie! It was so quick and easy peasy to replace our keyless fob batteries for the car this morning. Jonathan replaced both fobs in minutes. The best part is that it costs 90% less than the dealership!! Called to check stock on iphone battery. I was quoted a price for just the battery and told it came with a 6 month warranty. I drove ten miles to pick it up and, when I got to the store they told me there is no warranty unless they install it. I told them I am have been an electronics tech for forty years, but they just want to charge the extra $30 for a five minute install. I trust myself to do the job more than I trust them. They were VERY HARD SELL! I said no thanks. They are dishonest and rude. I will not buy from them again! read more

Called to get my phone phone fixed after having a problem with the tacoma location canceling their appointment with me last second because they sent all their techs out for the night. Assured me it would get fixed not a problem. Drove 30 mins in traffic to get here to be told oh we won't have enough time to do it tonight. Finally came in to pick it up and build the pack myself the next weekend and they built it in a few hours. Don't expect great customer service or follow ups. Harnish sold me a newer CRV with a bad battery (ugh) and kept lying about it every time I had them test it, so it kept breaking down. I took it to Batteries Plus and Jamie gave me an honest assessment/test of my battery and hooked me up with a new one with much more CCAs. The problem was that there was only one working then and he was unable to complete in time because there was a steady stream of customers keeping him occupied. I took my phone in for a new battery because it wasn't lasting even a full day. They replaced the battery (they told me anyway) but I've not seen much difference. The phone still doesn't last a day. Brought my iPhone in to have a cracked screen replaced and when we went to pick it up we were informed the cable on the camera broke and the phone was dead. They did not have the part to fix it in stock and had to order it from another store and the phone would not be fixed until the following afternoon. Being that was our only phone of course we were upset but could not do anything about it. Jamie went out of her way and drove up to the store that night to get the part and called us the next morning at 8:15 a.m. to let us know the phone was fixed and ready to pick up. The very idea of a battery and bulb store is something that was lacking in the U.S. for most of its history since the invention of both the battery and the bulb. Halleluah ! There here now and they are adding services to provide more utility to the public. Everything is good except price in some instances. $40 was the quote for the battery being replaced in a $20 cell phone. Ok, I understand the vagaries of a loss leading phone product so perhaps that's not a fair comparison. How about this? : I went on Amazon and bought the EXACT battery for $5.68 delivered. You then reply that THAT merchant (usually a vendor for Amazon) doesn't have to pay rent and direct comparisons are impossible. How about cutting the price by $20 on that cel phone battery ? This still allows you to compete against Amazon not by price but by instant gratification because many customers are lazy and want the product now AND we want you to be able to pay your rent. Currently your model appears similar to many movie theatres across America whom are depending on that boy on a date to go spend $18 on $4 worth of snacks so he won't look like a cheapskate to his date.
