[Location]-- located very close to the super busy Tacoma Mall area. The parking area is very small-- only having 4 or 5 spots, so it can be a pain to get out when the area is busy. Other than that, the store is clean and there aren't any people loitering there. [Experience]-- the employees were pleasant to interact with. I needed a car key replaced and initially the associate wasn't sure their machine could replicate my car key due to how worn it was, so she refunded the programming fee and had me find someone to manually cut it. Fortunately, Home Depot's (they can also replicate most car keys even if they have transponders) machine replicated the key perfectly, so I came back to this location and she was able to use their software to program the key to my car. Overall, I paid $122 for them to do so. It's entirely possible to do this yourself if you order a kit or have two car keys, but considering I needed it done ASAP I am very grateful for this service and I don't think the price is that bad.

A few months ago, I took my daughter's phone to Rapid Repair to have the screen fixed. I was told that it would be ready in a couple of days, which turned into more than two weeks. Logan claimed he had a "family emergency", which I understood, of course. On December 31, 2025, I took my other daughter's cell phone in for the same issue. Once again, Logan told me that I could pick it up in a couple of days and that he would call or text me when it was ready. I paid $186 up front and, as of today (01/22/2026), I'm still waiting to hear from him. Not only has he not responded to my numerous voice mails and texts, but the business has been closed every time I've stopped by in person and the website is not active anymore. I filed complaints with the BBB and the Attorney General a few days ago, and apparently I'm not the only one who has done so. After I told them what device I was looking for and that I was on a budget, they got me on a leasing plan for only $88 dollars down! Don't let them refer you to Federal Way for a battery replacement for an IPad and they lie to you…read more They said that Federal Way techs are the only ones in the area who replaces batteries. That is not true. I found a different, honest person today at a company in Olympia because my battery inside the IPad had disconnected. The new tech opened the IPad up and found that the battery was not even installed with the screws or adhesive, which is standard installation. The clear film was not taken off. It was just floating around and The Phone Guys also bent some of the contacts inside of the case. Also, I had to wait for 4 hours for them to complete the job. The Phone Guys in Lacey lied, and the Phone Guys in Federal Way did not know what they were doing, and did a terrible job. Don't go there if you want an honest interaction and don't go there if you want a job done right.

Not only did both cases get handled superbly, but he offered regular check-ins about the process while asking about anything I forgot to mention to be sure he had the full picture, and he was more than happy to explain what he was doing and why (which I always find very fun!). The keyboard replacement was $125 and the malware wipe was $175--the original estimate I'd gotten for the malware wipe was much higher, but he handled everything like the pro he is and got my laptop back to me as quick as he could. I've also sent a phone in to be repaired, and while unfortunately it couldn't be saved even with part replacements ("catastrophic internal failure" type stuff), he DID try as many things as he could think of to try to get it working again which I am incredibly grateful for. He also put me on the path to people who might be able to extract my data despite the state of my phone! This whole deal was $87. This shop is thorough in their work and the workplace has the kind of vibe you get when the people working there actually enjoy it. Definitely the kind of place I'd ACTUALLY recommend to friends and family, not just saying so on the non-existent exit questionnaire. You'll be in good hands here--even if they can't fix it, they'll still point you in the right direction.
