I guess I'll be the exception and give this Xfinity store a good review for the service received when we stopped in to add a couple services to a basic account. We dropped in sort of mid-day on a weekday and had a minimal 10'ish minute wait before being called on. Very special kudos to Dave, the customer service rep who took care of us. His service is what this review is really about. He was well informed on the Comcast products, including a rather obscure one we were adding, & fluid in navigating their order system. He was genuinely friendly, engaging, and fun. His personality kept the process of taking care of business light and easy. His service was solid 5 star level!! He was super comprehensive & clear informing us what our added service should look like at home. He gave us the needed boxes & cables to install, since we wanted to avoid a technician visit fee. The install was pretty simple & straightforward for an old I.T. guy like me. One demerit for Xfinity back end glitch, that's not this store's fault, that fubarred the service after equipment hookup. Eva at Xfinity customer service call center was patient & proficient at eventually clearing the issue remotely in about half an hour on the phone. She too was friendly, courteous, and proficient.

Tried calling, that is a total waste of time and effort. I work from home so no internet means no work. It has been going down almost daily for 2 weeks. I will be finding another internet service.

I called Rainier Connect and after a couple of minutes talking with a technician he said since my wireless company was Century Link he couldn't help me and to call another number. I simply thought it was another department within Rainier Connect; wrong. It turned out to be Whisler Communications. Shane answered the phone and after I explained my problem; even though I am not a customer, he took over my computer and fixed the problem. Shane was professional, courteous, friendly, and in 10 minutes I was back up and running. I live in Scottsdale, AZ and will probably never use his company, but I would highly recommend his services to anybody who lives in his operating area. He picked up the phone, no transfers to somebody else and solved my issue. Thank you Shane for a job well done. Bob gooding@localaccess.com

I would give Xfinity zero stars if I could…read more From our very first call, we clearly told Xfinity that we owned our own modem and router and did not need to rent or purchase any of their equipment. We were told that was no problem and that the coax cable we needed would be included in a welcome box shipped to our house. That box never came. After waiting approximately a week, we called Xfinity and were told something completely different: they supposedly could not send us only a coax cable and would instead have to send us startup equipment and charge us for it. We did not need their equipment. We never asked for their equipment. We had already been told that the cable would be sent separately as part of getting our service started. Because Xfinity failed to send the coax cable they promised, we never even connected to their network and never used a single day of their internet service. That apparently did not stop them from taking approximately $25 from our bank account for startup fees and then billing us for the time between our initial order and the date we finally gave up and canceled the service. I then spent approximately an hour and a half on hold trying to get help with a problem Xfinity created in the first place. It is difficult to understand how a company can justify charging someone for internet service they literally never used, especially when the reason they could not use it was because Xfinity failed to provide something its own representative promised would be sent. Between the incorrect information, the missing equipment, the unexplained charges, the excessive hold time, and the attempt to bill us for unusable service, this was one of the worst customer-service experiences I have had. I would strongly caution anyone considering Xfinity to carefully watch what they are promised and what they are charged.

I would give them less than 1 star if I could. EVERY SINGLE PART of my transaction was screwed up,…read morethey now cannot fix it, and if I cancel my service (which I would like to do!) then I lose the entire value of my trade-in (which was also wrong). Their customer service is beyond horrible, and they are liars. It's that simple. Avoid doing business with this company at all costs!!!!
